  1. Just off of the Beyond and I'd recommend Eden. The food and service was fabulous!
  2. Absolutely! We were on the Beyond June 4th and I booked most of our excursions through italytours.eu and one through Tours By Locals. Check with your Roll Call to see what others have booked. In 2018, I used Montenegro M Tours for a fabulous small group tour. Another member of our Roll Call used Dubrovnik Shore Tours to set up small group tours in Croatia.
  3. We did, too! It was a great day. When we arrived in Monaco, there was no one there - unbelievable! It was some holiday and I guess everyone was at the beach.
  4. We are back from our three nights in Rome after disembarking the Celebrity Beyond. We stayed at Hotel Ponte Sisto and found it easy to get to Trastevere (right over the bridge) as well as walk to Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Plaza Navona, Campo de Fiori. We did take a cab to the Vatican since we had our 88 year old mom with us. The hotel was clean and comfortable and had a great breakfast and roof top area that was great for relaxing in the evening. We enjoyed our stay there and would stay there again if/when we return to Rome
  5. @LewThank you for the Twilight Trastevere tour recommendation! We took it after disembarking Celebrity Beyond in Rome on 6/13. It was a fabulous tour with a great, local guide.
  6. I posted this on the other thread, but this seems to be the main thread so I'm posting it again. I also want to add that we were on time, back to the ship, in plenty of time. Also, we chose not to go to Pompeii this time and had plenty of time on our Amalfi Coast tour. We even enjoyed a pizza lunch in Amalfi. 🙂 We booked several tours with Italy Tours for our May 26th Azamara Quest and June 4th Celebrity Beyond cruise. We were quite pleased with each one of the tours and appreciated that they were indeed small group tours. I appreciated all the communication with Christina and Mario B. and the fact that I did not have to handle other people's tour money and/or their cancellations & refunds. They answered my questions and took my questions and concerns about my 88 year old mother-in-law in stride. In fact, each of the drivers and tour guides were quite solicitous as well as informative. We had 6 or 8 people on each of our tours. One tour had a couple cancel, leaving only four of us, and they asked if we would be willing to pay a bit more to continue the tour. The four of us agreed. The tours we experienced were: 5/30 Best of Tuscany (with Diego) There were only four of us on this tour from Azamara Quest. 6/05 Aix-Cassis-Marseille (with Marlon) 6/07 The Best of the French Riviera (with Guy) 6/09 The Best of Florence and Pisa (with Stefan; Bernadette in Florence) 6/11 Etna and Taormina (with Calo) 6/12 The Classic Amalfi Coast (with Luca/Lucca) We would not hesitate to book with Italy Tours again. The drivers were great (each in his own way) and I feel the tours were a good value for the money.

  8. We used Rome Cabs for our transfer from the Civitavecchia port to our hotel on June 13th and again on June 16th to go to the airport. The van was clean and comfortable, our driver was punctual, professional, and helpful, and we found the price to be reasonable for four of us and all of our cruise luggage. Michele drove us both days. I would recommend them and use them again if/when we return to Rome.
  9. Have a great cruise! We were on the June 4th sailing out of Barcelona and had a fabulous cruise.
  10. When you get on board, you can adjust your reservation. I would recommend doing it as soon as you get on the ship. We found the staff to be very helpful. When we boarded June 4th, we walked by Raw on Five and one of their dining staff members asked if we had any questions about specialty dining. She was able to help us with Eden reservations (we already had Fine Cut Steakhouse for a birthday celebration) and we ended up with with a 3-night package that included Le Voyage.
  11. The Quest and Pursuit were at the Grand Prix this year. Originally, we were scheduled to be in Nice on Sunday and transported to the Grand Prix, but happily a schedule change had us tendered from the Quest to the race. Tickets were in Tribune K. We had Azamara shore excursion tickets in our stateroom along with other race information (maps, tender schedule). We exchanged the shore excursion tickets for real race tickets, lanyards, and souvenir booklet the morning of the race. Ship escorts met us at the shore and led us to Tribune K. It was about a 30 minute brisk walk. At the end of the race, Azamara escorts were available to guide groups back to the ship. The crowds were insane! We were supposed to be on the Journey Grand Prix cruise last year. I believe you are there Saturday and Sunday. Photos are from my phone.
  12. We used the eMed Binax Proctored Test to board the Quest in Barcelona May 26th. We used our hotel Wi-Fi with our phone in our hotel room. Do not rely on port Wi-Fi to pull up an email with test results. Download or have a screen shot of your negative test. If you are able, print it out.
  13. Welcome to Barcelona! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your reports from onboard. Thank you. Safe travels home.
  14. LOL, of course. Oh well, we benefited from Italy dropping theirs.
  15. Thank you for your “semi-live” reporting from the Pursuit. It is just what we need as we wait to board the Quest next week.
  16. We carry a bag similar to @SerraG . I think it is important, especially overseas and if you have non prescription meds that you prefer or need. For example, if you have high blood pressure, certain cold medicines are not recommended.
  17. Thank you! Just shared it to our May 26th Quest Roll Call.
  18. Thank you, Karen! @luvthoseships OK to share on our Roll Call? More € to spend on sangria? Yes!
  19. Thank you. Yes, we have the proctored tests.
  20. We are on the same sailing as well. Not waiting for registration details. We’re bringing tests with us and the hotel has said that they can help us find testing if needed. See you onboard. 🤞🏻
  21. Thank you all for your input. One less item to pack @blagWe have a Club Veranda Plus Stateroom. We can’t book the dining night until we are onboard but it is one of the perks. 🤷‍♀️
  22. We are sailing on the Quest in a couple of weeks. Husband noted the Azamara website recommends a suit or sports jacket for dining. Are they usually worn? He has long sleeve dress shirts and shoes, ties, and slacks. We have one night in specialty dining. Thanks for your help.
  23. I just made Fine Cut Steakhouse dinner reservations this morning for our Beyond cruise. Price was $55 pp and gratuities were added on as I went to the checkout page. Spent that onboard credit and then some.
