  1. Website issues (beyond the usual) have been going on for a little bit. There are lots on empty spaces where there should be cruises. Mine are missing, too. Neither cruise is on Meraviglia so it isn't just your ship.
  2. The only actual "PrivaSea" balconies on Joy are the Haven Suites directly under the bridge (13108/13708). An angled balcony being labeled as "PrivaSea" doesn't mean anything other than being another mistake on a NCL deck plan.
  3. Substituting the PBP promo for the soda package promo isn't an option unless you are under 21 years-old. Well, it depends on how you look at it. If NCL had already earmarked part of your fare to cover some of the PBP, NCL came out ahead. The fact that you purchased the soda package swings it even more in NCL's favor.
  4. Did you add the Free at Sea promos? Do you have a detailed invoice for EVERYTHING that you should have?
  5. With MSC, nothing is truly consistent. When I had 2 cruises that were less than 3 months apart, I was able to get everything done and downloaded for both on the same day. I didn't print the tags for the later cruise to avoid confusion.
  6. Are you combining different things to get that amount? The 20% gratuity and beverage service charge is $21.80 per person per day when taking that promo.
  7. Not with the soda package. If 1 in the stateroom has the soda package, the others aren't forced to buy a soda package.
  8. It's the only NCL ship like this. Epic is one of a kind. There should be enough knee room. The "bathtube set-up with sink location" is probably the most discussed topic when it comes to Epic. The hideously unattractive exterior is probably 2nd most discussed. The lack of a Waterfront/La Terrazza type of area on Epic is another thing that people sometimes complain about. Some people love Epic. Some people hate it. It is the most divisive ship in the NCL fleet, in my opinion. I would recommend a newer NCL ship for a first-time NCL cruiser. Other forum members will tell you that they've sailed Epic multiple times and had a great cruise every time. As I mentioned above, it's divisive.
  9. If you're looking for things that will ruin your cruise, you'll find them. Instead, focus on the positive things that compelled you to book the cruise in the first place.
  10. That's not always the case. There are plenty of people who can afford the Yacht Club but, for whatever reason, choose to not book it. Now, if you prefer an interior, there are Yacht Club interiors if you want to....😉
  11. The same reason that Aurea guests might want to visit the general population areas. If a guest is allowed to go there, they can go there if they want. To give an example to answer your question, there are more shaded areas on Seascape's Top 19 than there are on Seascape's Yacht Club sundeck. There's some shade in both areas but getting a group of loungers in the shade is easier on Top 19.
  12. Anyone is free to post on any forum whether they have sailed that line or not. I've never sailed Azamara but I can make 100 posts there if I want. Adding a Yacht Club sub-category wouldn't prevent Yacht Club guests from posting on the main MSC forum nor would it prevent anyone from posting on the Yacht Club sub-category.
  13. On one hand, you will only have balcony neighbors on one side. On the other hand, sound travels in more than one direction. If the volume level is such that others above, below, or next to you aren't disturbed, it shouldn't be a problem. If a neighbor does complain, you should lower the volume. Inside of the stateroom, it would be no different than watching TV. Loud enough for you but not loud enough to disturb others is fine. Have you considered airpods, earpods, or something similar?
  14. This might be one of the reasons that I've never had a bad butler on any cruise on any line. It might also explain why most butlers that we have had remember us if we've sailed with them previously. Some butlers on MSC recognize us if they see us in the terminal. On one cruise to Cozumel, we saw one of our servers having lunch on land in a restaurant with her boyfriend. She had mentioned him to us during dinner once. We surprised them by paying for their meal (it wasn't expensive at all). Nearly a year later, we saw her again on a different ship and she still remembered us.
  15. Although disappointing, it is understandable from an economic standpoint. If the newest ships had the best itineraries, the older ships with the less desirable itineraries wouldn't sell. I would like to do a longer cruise that went further south on a brand new ship but I'd rather do "new ship/mediocre itinerary" instead of "older and smaller ship/better itinerary". ...first world problems, I know.
  16. Thanks for the info. I'll keep it in mind since I've never sailed on a Meraviglia Plus ship.
  17. I've also done Meraviglia and enjoyed it more than expected. I put Seaside and Seashore/Seascape above Meraviglia. I've never sailed Seaview which is a twin of Seaside. I'll be on World America in 2025 so I'll see where that fits in with the rest. I've never sailed on any of the Meraviglia Plus ships to compare with Meraviglia but I have sailed on the Seaside and Seaside EVO ships to see the improvements. We'll have the same itinerary on World America so if you do sail on that one, please let us know how it was as far as experiences in port, excursions, etc.
  18. Of your choices.... Seascape first Seaside second Divina third Seascape/Seashore is an EVOlved version of Seaside/Seaview. There are many similarities but Seascape has a few improvements over the slightly smaller Seaside. I'm guessing that you will be sailing from Miami but Seashore will be sailing from Port Canaveral (which is near Orlando) for Christmas. We did Seashore over Christmas and it was one of our best cruises, so far. The weather could have been warmer but that's to be expected when sailing during winter as opposed to summer.
  19. You'll get used to walking past lines. You'll also get used to ignoring any dirty looks that you may get. Your escort past those who have been waiting longer than you should begin before you first board the ship on embarkation day.
  20. It is... "The announcement highlights the introduction of what will be the largest MSC Yacht Club in the North American market." MSC should do what RCCL does and add an extra few millimeters to each new build for a class so that it can be the "....new LARGEST EVERRRRR!!!!!" at something. 😁
  21. Not really. I wrote "Top Sail" (Freudian slip) instead of Top 19.
  22. No numerical limit. If you appear to be wasted, the bartenders will cut you off but if you can handle 20...30...48 drinks per day, go for it.
