  1. You should not stress about this. You will be contacted by your shoreside concierge prior to embarkation at which time you can specify where you'd like to dine and when. They will make the reservations for you. If something changes after you board, either the Retreat concierge or your butler can adjust for you.
  2. Thanks for posting the full list of inclusions. I don't see any mention of upper suites having access to the thermal suite as mention earlier in this thread. Are these inclusion notices stateroom category specific?
  3. And to piggyback, the BtP lectures have loaded into the app for our upcoming cruise on Edge. The hours are a little too early for me but the early risers will probably like that!
  4. SerraG it sounds like you are off and running! Thanks for the pic of the Luminae menu. The lobster roll appears to have too much mayo for my liking so will pass on that. How nice you were able to snag a window view for your lunch! And your stateroom looks lovely. I noticed a lounger on your balcony, which is nice to see. Question: how has the indoor temperatures been in the public spaces? A reviewer from last week indicated it was quite warm. This intel has thrown my packing into a tail spin. Enjoy your first port of call!
  5. I believe this is the sticking point as a FCC assumes one wants to cruise with the line again. OP has been clear that they do not wish to sail on Regent again so the FCC is useless to them. We are in an entry level suite (deluxe verandah) on Grandeur next spring. I have considered upgrading us but I think we will stay put. This is not the first account I've read about problematic rooms on Grandeur. It's concerning, for sure. But seems to be isolated to more expensive accommodations (at least that's what I'm telling myself)...ironic, to say the least.
  6. I’ve read conflicting reports on this over on the excursions board. I’m good with it either way.
  7. Again, very impressive. I may just be way overthinking what I will need for Alaska.
  8. Good question. I wondered the same and figured OP must be traveling to one or more of the Schengen countries in the EU. Any medication falling into a CII narcotic would require this form. Op might also want to check the categorization of the meds…perhaps get an rx for something different while on vacation.
  9. It will depend on availability but if you make the changes on embarkation day, as long as they can accommodate, it shouldn't be a problem. We changed a few reservations around when we last cruised back in November.
  10. Nothing like a good crying spell in the solarium. Sounds like you saved the day! Your fellow solarium dwellers should have bought you a round!
  11. I believe your pharmacist or HCP can print and complete one of these for you.
  12. I’m impressed that you both can pack for Alaska and get it all into a carry on!!!
  13. Yes! I will be looking for you! Hope you’re enjoying the first leg. You’ll be able to fill us in on the must see and do’s! And I’m enjoying your review. Have read every word aloud to DH 😊.
  14. Here's what's showing in my cruise planner...I have $200 OBC...but that wouldn't even buy me a big toe in the sand! 🤣
  15. Yes, you can still dine in the MDR...we have done this in lieu of Luminae on E class.
  16. We will be on this same cruise next week. It is going to be our first time in Alaska and like you, I was overwhelmed by the excursion options. My approach was to identify exactly what we wanted to get out of our visit because we will likely not return due to distance and cost. We are pretty athletic but don't have an appreciation for hiking so we ruled that out. We have done several whale watching excursions in the past, so ruled that out. By process of elimination we landed with a self-guided tour of Ketchikan to include the lumber jack show (which we booked directly on line, not through the ship) and a walking tour/pub crawl...in Juneau we are scheduled for a helicopter ride over Mendenhal glacier coupled with a dog sledding tour...this was our splurge. And in Skagway, we are taking the scenic train into Canada coupled with a bike ride back down the mountain with scenic stops along the way. Visit the Alaska board for more ideas!
  17. I’ve never booked the Penthouse but on m class it is lovely (according to YT videos)…especially the wrap around balcony! I would totally book it if my budget could handle it. As far as value is concerned, that’s completely subjective but I will say that there aren’t as many specialty dining venues on M class (no Murano) which are included in the fare.
  18. This question makes me laugh...no offense. I find the casino machines to me no more tight or less tight than ones you might find in land casinos. On my last 2 Celebrity cruises I walked away with hand pays...Ascent and Equinox. It's random so if it's your turn, it's your turn. How I see it, anyway.
  19. Signature suite is considered an upper suite...not sure what you're referring to.
  20. I believe access to thermal suite on all ship classes for upper suites is new as well as the reinstated fully stocked minibar (fridge)...they took that perk away from lower suites for a while so it appears to be back.
  21. Port Canaveral is a very easy port to navigate. There is lots of parking, which is great for those of us who live close enough to drive. I'm not a fan of the Orlando area so flying in a few days ahead is not something I would do...but I'm not into theme parks and that's the Orlando draw. Here's what I would recommend if you want to fly in a day or two early...UBER to Coco Beach. Coco Beach is not far from the cruise terminal and is a great way to kick off a cruise. The town reminds me of a mid-century throw back to what vacationing was like when I was a kid growing up in the 70's and 80's. We stay at a place called The Inn at Coco Beach. It is a boutique hotel with quaint grounds and nicely refurbished rooms. There is private access to the beach, a pool, loungers and umbrellas for the beach, and they have an honor bar in the lobby with everything you would want to mix your own cocktail. They also offer complementary wine and cheese at 5 PM and a nice breakfast in the morning. Coco beach also boasts some great beach bars/grills, a NASA space museum, and of course the worlds largest Ron Jon surf shop...at must do experience! Not sure if Celebrity offers a shuttle service but I'm sure it would be listed in the cruise planner.
  22. Like you, I absolutely love Memorial Day! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
  23. Woohoo!! Thank you for taking the time to follow up...now go have a wonderful cruise! ☺️...and a martini!
