  1. Fine Cut was a one and done for us but WOW! That can't be right!
  2. SMH...Can't even imagine contemplating packing a waffle maker! How does that conversation even go? Honey, I don't think I can go an entire week without your scrumptious waffles... It's OK dear, you won't have to! I have enough room in my suitcase for the waffle maker! As for wrinkles, well spray on Wrinkle Release works wonders!
  3. When we sailed Ascent we did not get lounge access. I am also sapphire. Honestly, when they say lounge access, I didn’t think it meant Retreat lounge. I’m not sure what lounge I thought it was referring. I guess I should have asked the casino host. The list of perks also mentions a free digital photo package but when I went to the photo lounge to inquire, they looked shocked and dumbfounded at my request. On our upcoming Alaska cruise I plan to travel with a print out of the perks.
  4. There are just some parts of the world where I won't book an excursion outside of the ship's offering...a situation like the one you described is the very reason why. Those 7 passengers were very lucky.
  5. No, there is not a curtain. You'd have to go up to a Celebrity suite to get a privacy divider as there is a separate bedroom. Edit to say, I have seen pics of some pretty ideas of people bringing along magnetic hooks and fashioning their own curtain from the ceiling.
  6. What a wonderful itinerary! Looking forward to tagging along on your adventure! Safe travels!
  7. I think the ship's refusal to let the passengers board when brought by the Coast Guard is definitely part of the story. The reasons for refusing them, while likely legitimate, could go a long way in the PR damage control @luv2kroooz references in his post.
  8. Excellent point and would certainly answer my question as to why the captain wouldn’t let them board.
  9. The story claims the coast guard took them to meet the ship and that the passengers were refused. This just doesn’t sound right. If true, why would the Captain refuse the passengers while still in port?
  10. We drive from ATL to Canaveral but fly from ATL to FLL or Mia. We’d rather drive tho.
  11. Thank you for this info! At what point (no. Of days out) can one begin booking with the custom option?
  12. We made the booking in early March for Nov 15 embarkation. Our category is a Deluxe Ocean View on deck 9. We got a group rate through our TA with the classic drinks pkg, basic wifi, and $350 obc. It will be our first OV category but after researching the room on Youtube, it looks very spacious and even has a faux balcony set up with a pair of chairs and a small table in front of a large window with a captain’s view. Though I never get too enamored by who’s driving the ship, Captain Kate has quite the reputation so we are excited to sail with her!
  13. I'm a big fan of focusing on the positive so thank you! And I think there are still deals to be had...even in this current market. We just booked a 10 night cruise on Beyond with drinks and wifi for less than 4 grand. Not in a suite but still an amazing deal, IMO.
  14. Congratulations on the free upgrade! You haven't even boarded yet and you're already off to a great start! I hope you enjoy every moment.
  15. They don't move guests to quarantine anymore.
  16. Not sure how I missed this live review but luckily I stumbled upon it this morning and have delighted in reading about your adventures over my morning cup of coffee. Looking forward to continuing with you on this journey. We will be in a MC SS on Edge at the end of May! Thank you for the wonderful commentary and pictures!
  17. Yes, I can see that way as well. But the apostrophe is still needed either way to show ownership. Your Client's (or Clients' for multiple) Zenith Membership just got better...
  18. Equinox had a clothing optional charter group last year. Minimum age was 21. They had a planning group on board working in the solarium on our cruise. Their goal was to come up with a design plan that would hang privacy curtains and rearrange loungers for Lord knows what. Needless to say, DH and I did not attend. 😎.
  19. Your clients Zenith membership just got better If the audience of this flyer is TA’s then it should read: Your clients’ Zenith memberships just got better…assuming the TA has more that one client. Or Your client’s Zenith membership just got better…assuming they only have one client. Typos are one thing…but published flyers? All that to say, good news for Zenith members!
  20. Have been to Magens Bay...it's beautiful! You may have better luck with finding answers to your questions by posting on the ports of call board... here's a link! Good luck 😊. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/2-ports-of-call/
  21. Really enjoying your observations. Sorry to see your YC dining experience is lacking. So strange the lack of consistency from ship to ship. We have never sailed the ship you are on currently, but have enjoyed Meraviglia, Seaside (least favorite ship) and Seashore. In all three experiences, the YC food and service have been great! Hoping it gets better for you!
  22. Excellent point! If I were to do the add-on it would be for the wifi upgrade because it comes out to be less expensive this way. Guess they need to adjust the price of the package now that everyone get complimentary room service again.
  23. Thanks for the review. Silhouette remains to be one of my favorite ships. Did you happen to find a men's wedding band anywhere? DH lost his on our anniversary the last time we were on Silhouette. It has to be somewhere! ☺️ Regarding the lack of apps and fruit in the room, I am wondering if things vary a bit on shorter cruises or if those things fall into the you have to ask for it category. I'm taking DM on a 4 night Reflection cruise and I'm curious what will be different from the norm in terms of room amenities. We will be in a Signature suite. Again, many thanks!
  24. We took our adult children on a cruise and although our cabins were under the same reservation, we were able to assign individual credit cards to room keys at Guest Services. My daughter had a CC assigned to her sea pass card and her friend, who was staying in her cabin, had a card linked to her room key as well. The gratuities were prepaid so that wasn't a concern for us. The trick is to check your folio regularly for errors as we came across a couple that were corrected pretty easily but waiting in line at GS was a tad inconvenient...
