Your best bet for the second day is to look at something like hotelsbyday.com or a similar website or just pay for two nights and come and go at your leisure.
Check your bags in Anchorage, tagged for your cruise ship cabin and the next place you see them will be on the ship. Take as little as possible on the train, storage space in the cars is very tight.
Not a problem, book for as many people as will be joint you for dinner. If your group is an odd number book the next higher number, so for a party of 5 book for 6. You are not charged for the extra person ever. Be sure and book Teppenaki and Moderno first.
If you have FAS and get Internet as part of that package you can upgrade on the second or third day at a slightly reduced rate. If you buy an Internet package, not as part of FAS you will, only get your latitude’s discount.
You will not be able to book an NCL transfer from a specific hotel unless NCL booked your hotel, and maybe not even then. It will be less expensive and more convenient to book a cab. We recommend George’s Taxi.
I think I would pay more and arrange a private tour. We have used EKOL travel both in Kusadasi and Istanbul and were very pleased. The cost is a bit more but you have a guide and admission is included.
It’s not like what you think. More like an amusement park. Plenty of places for food and drink. No wait getting in on the ship tour. On my tour there was no guiding. We were pointed to the entrance and told when to be back on the bus. To me it was underwhelming. I much prefer the museum in Huntsville, just wasn’t much at KSC.
Stay in Anchorage and take the train the next morning. To be safe it’s going to be after 3 when you get your bags and get out of the airport. I would not want a 3 + hour bus ride after that.
I haven’t looked at prices, but we always stay at the Sheraton. It is a little walk to the main part of downtown but it is flat and the area is pretty quiet. It’s an easy minute cab ride to the train station.
Shuttles, taxis, Ubers. The shuttles run $10 pp, those between $20 and $30 per trip. With a flight that late no need to rush so you can avoid surge pricing.
