  1. another vote for the Car and Fashion museum. From there it's a short walk to the beach where there are a few "espetos" bars selling freshly grilled sardines. Another great musuem is the museum of crystal and glass, quite small and a labout of love from the British owner https://www.museovidrioycristalmalaga.com/ There's also a wonderful sherry bar https://antiguacasadeguardia.com/
  2. I'm so very sorry to read this. Deepest condolences.
  3. we did a tour with Cosol in St Lucia (already mentioned). It was excellent, a full day with lunch provided. A pick-up truck followed us around with drinks every time we stopped! We saw the Pitons, snorkelled, went to a waterfall and mud baths, banana plantation etc. Sadly the guy who ran it then was killed a couple of years ago but it seems to be still running and getting excellent reviews.
  4. it should be on your planner when you log in.
  5. we had the Premium alcohol free drinks package on QE last year that included hot drinks. We could get coffee, standard tea (not the iced tea) and hot chocolate in any of the bars, as well as iced tea and iced coffee in Carinithia. Carinithia also did a special hot chocolate with little dishes of cream, marshmallows and chocolate flakes. Tea always came in a pot in the bars. One of our favourite things was coffee in the mornings in the Commodore Club. From what I remember you could also order espresso, latte etc after dinner in the dining room at no extra cost, as well as tea and filter coffee.
  6. another vote for Nationwide (their travel insurance with the Flexplus account is excellent too) but I've recently taken out a Halifax Clarity credit card which was recommended here and on Moneysaving Expert as my holiday credit card.
  7. well, they do say every day's a school day! Over the Pennines it used to be pampas grass in the front garden (allegedly!), never heard of the pineapple.
  8. thanks for the info. We have a taxi provisionally booked, but they need to know definite info of course. I'll keep checking. Are you on the repo cruise too?
  9. Are both your flights with Jet2? Maybe our return flight it with somone else. Hopefuly it will appear soon! Looking forward very much to the cruise. Just deciding what to do on our "changeover" day in Malta (we're on from 5/10), I think Rabat & Mdina looks likely.
  10. we had it on QE last year. We were in an inside cabin and were moved to a balcony until we tested negative for 2 consecutive days (after 5 days). I had no symptoms at any point and OH was just starting to feel a bit off colour when there was a shipwide test after leaving San Fransisco. Hope it all goes ok for you.
  11. presumably for the summer season? In March she was boarding at every stop (Hamburg, Rotterdam, Zeebrugge & Le Havre). We had our fastest ever boarding at Southampton with MSC. Had 4pm boarding time, arrived about 1.30 by coach from NW England, straight on the ship.
  12. we're on Oceania next year - I have to try Elvis the fat years ice cream! We sailed from Southampton in March, fastest check in we've ever had. Sounds very like your experience. Enjoy the rest of your trip, I look forward to reading your observations.
  13. We are on the Azura repositioning cruise in October from Malta to Tenerife. We have our Malta flight info, but nothing yet for the flight home from Tenerife on 27/10. Has anyone got any Tenerife - Manchester flight info for later in the autumn? We do have flights times of 11.30 dep, 15.30 arrival but no carrier or confirmation of times. thanks
  14. we bought at £5.77 after very helpful advice on here. 2 cruises booked (so far) and enjoying watching the prices - my only foray into shares 😃
  15. thanks so much for posting from your trip. All the Insight Lectures look good, I'd be spoilt for choice! We are on QA next year to the Fjords - hope we get a similar programme! Enjoy the rest of your trip. Not sure what you have planned in Barcelona but the Hospital San Pau is well worth a look, It's quite near the Sagrada Familia. https://santpaubarcelona.org/en/
  16. we booked this October's repo last October having seen it online. When I rang P&O to see if they would price match, they couldn't see it in the brochure and had to search for it. So it will appear at some point!
  17. my favourite is Crafty Nectar 0.5 but I've only ever bought it on line. Sainsbury's own make isn't bad. I'm not a fan of the fruit ones, too sweet.
  18. I've not seen much AF wine in bars around me. A local restaurant now has an AF white at £14.50, cheaper than its full strength wines but 3x the supermarket price (as are many wines). I saw AF prosecco at £25 a bottle once! I didn't buy it. I'm hoping Azura has a choice of AF wines later this year, but I'm not hopeful! Still, even 1 would be good. There are some good beers, I'd be delighted if Lucky Saint made it onboard.
  19. "- Guests will have the opportunity of staying with the promotion they have booked or moving to the new offer." watching this with interest. We have booked Japan to Singapore for October 2024, through a UK travel agent. We've taken the flights and the excursions so I'm interested to know what our "opportunity" will be!
  20. we did this last year. Amazing experience. We had an inside cabin and spent all day out on deck watching what was going on. I think we were on the starboard side of the Promenade deck which had more shade later in the day. Even at lunchtime we ate outside - I can recommend checking out the outdoor grill at the back of the Lido buffet. They have a daily special eg crab cakes or Southern fried chicken. It was very hot, they regularly brought a drinks trolley round on the Promenade deck. It was cooler in the evening as we were out of the Canal by then on in more open sea.
  21. I've never had issues with Easyjet. We flew to Paris with them in April. We only used hand luggage and took the option to have 2 bags each in the cabin, a handbag and a small case. Like this one from IT luggage. No problem.
  22. we are also on the repo cruise this October flying from Manchester to Valetta. Flight out is Jet2, flight carrier back from Tenerife hasn't been confirmed yet.
  23. We flew to the Caribbean Premium Economy a few years ago and it was a wonderful experience, even without the lounge at Manchester. Because of getting off first, no luggage to collect (Domincan Republic) we were 2nd or 3rd on board the ship. Would definitely do it again.
  24. and it's very frustrating. Could almost wish for a poor signal in Blackpool 🤣
  25. did you notice if they do alcohol free cocktails in Sindhu? thanks
