  1. Yes. Everyone has to have a package. Alcoholic for adults, non-alcoholic for kids. Or everyone has to do the cruise only rate.
  2. So ultimately as I suspected, this is a skewed comparison. For double occupancy the Crystal cruise is still significantly more.
  3. Without context these comparisons are useless. It's like saying you can get a Ford for $70k or a Mercedes for $70k so obviously the Mercedes is better. I'd also be interested in knowing which Crystal itinerary this was. Their few 10 night cruises start at closer to $11k than $6k unless you are talking about a per person price.
  4. Customers are cyclical. That’s to be expected. There’s no sign of saturation right now. Global volume has gone from 12 million passengers in 2003 to almost 30 million in 2019. By 2027 that’s expected to be almost 40 million passengers globally. If that doesn’t pan out almost all of the major operators have aging low yielding ships to retire and reduce capacity.
  5. Royal Caribbean Group loves to hear that 🥂
  6. Jason Liberty was asked about this on the last earnings call Q&A. He answered with mostly word salad but he basically said they are seeing a strong 2023, bookings are exceptional for 2024, mostly driven by Caribbean and particularly itineraries with Coco Cay and they will keep on until something signals otherwise. Side note: it's pretty clear that the new Celebrity brand President was awarded her position partially due to her stellar success record with Perfect Day. They mention Perfect Day 30+ times during the call. Here's what he said: Q: Steve Wieczynski -- Stifel Financial Corp. -- Analyst That's great color. Thanks, guys. And then, second question, you know, as we think about the back half of the year and, you know, obviously, we can back into your yield guidance. But if we kind of break down those yields a little bit, are you assuming, you know, your customer from an onboard has obviously been extremely, extremely healthy? And, you know, are you assuming that your customer kind of stays in the same ballpark that they are now? Do you have them slowing a little bit in terms of spend levels? And then, second part of this question, which is a little bit different, but, you know, we get a lot of questions from investors about, you know, demand and demand into 2024. And can the demand levels that are there right now persist into next year? Or is '23 being -- you know, is '23 benefiting from just still kind of reopening in COVID, you know, bookings and stuff like that? So, hopefully, all that makes sense. A: Jason Liberty -- Chief Executive Officer Yeah, sure. Well, I think -- I think, you know, obviously we don't have a crystal ball. What we know is what we see happening basically every minute of every day. I mean we're -- you know, we're taking tens and tens of thousands of bookings a day. We've got 160,000, 170,000 people spending on our ships. And so, you know, we have a very good idea of, you know, the customer in terms of what's happening today. We also, obviously, do a lot of surveying of our customers in terms of what they're looking to do in the future. And it's obviously clear to us that they are very focused on gathering experiences and creating memories with their friends and family. So, the other point I'll just add is, and this is more on the pre-cruise side and what they're booking on the ship for the future, if that number continues to rise, which also just shows their appetite to spend more and more on nonticket-related spend. So, I think for us, when we think about the back half of this year, our expectation is that we're going to continue to see what we're seeing. However, the mix changes a little bit. You know, Q3, we have a little bit more Europe, we have a little bit less Caribbean. And, of course, you know, you've heard our commentary on the Caribbean is exceptionally strong, which is really what's driving the overall outperformance, while Europe is now very much coming in as we expected for the year. So, I think that probably talked a little bit about how we think about the back half of next year. Now, again, going to demand level for 2024, what we have, again, is what we're seeing day in and day out. And at this point in the year, the customer now -- and, of course, we begin to position ourselves and orient ourselves to 2024 more and more. Certainly, the majority of the bookings we're now taking are focused on 2024. You know, we see very similar strength and acceleration from what we've been seeing close in, as well as what we've been seeing for the bookings for 2023
  7. I don’t think it does. The bed itself wraps around the head of the bed and has side tables built in. Unless those are removable there would be no space to spilt the bed. You can also typically see the sag in the middle where the two mattresses meet and that’s not visible on any pictures I see.
  8. They are rethinking pricing. And it's going to increase. Read that last 10Q filing. There is very little reason to lower prices right now. They will continue to press harder until bookings weaken.
  9. There are not any on E Class. S class ships all have a sauna within the locker room area.
  10. Concierge class - not worth the cost. No real benefit at all. Aqua - you get access to Blu for breakfast and dinner and the Thermal Suite in the spa, slightly different cabin niceties. Sky Suite - full access to The Retreat sundeck, Retreat Lounge, butler/retreat team and Luminae. Aqua Sky Suite - combination of Sky Suite + Aqua Class. Personally wouldn't do it. Sky Suite would be the ideal spot for me. You could potentially buy a spa pass if that was important. I don't need the option for both Luminae and Blu. And even if you are in a Sky Suite and ask nicely, they will probably let you try Blu once if you really wanted to.
  11. No issue. You can't really even hear it from inside a Magic Carpet Sky Suite. It moves 1-2 times a day. Sometimes not at all.
  12. It doesn’t. You have to be in a Star Class suite on Royal to get a genie. Their suite categories vary by ship. If you think Celebrity’s prices are high, Royal might make you choke on your coffee.
  13. Not since June 1st. The 10% deposit applies to all Retreat bookings, even if they were made onboard.
  14. There is no cost involved. All Aqua (and group rates) for that matter have All Included by default. They just provided the itemized invoice.
  15. If you want to see the future of Princess, Sun does have the splash pad, ropes course and the rollercoaster-ish thing 'Rollglider'. đź‘Ť Celebrity makes no bones to their sales teams that the target client is 40-55, high income, limited time off individuals among other things. Does that mean everyone else is excluded? No. Change is hard. A handful of people here I believe have legitimately hurt feelings that the past no longer exists. The good thing is you can quickly spot the one complaining couple on board and know who to avoid the rest of the trip. Thankfully the onboard experience isn't Cruise Critic. You can also jump to Silversea or true lux market cruises (Azamara and Oceania are not it) to get your fix of true lux 'golden days of cruises' experience but what I see is most people can't afford it or won't commit that much of their budget to buying into that type of cruise.
  16. So duplicate NCL's Vibe Club or Princess's Sanctuary? Both are popular but that would equally cause outrage among the people that think the Retreat Sundeck already creates too much pay to use space.
  17. You already know this, but you chose a 7 day cruise, during summer, in the Med, during probably one of the busiest family travel weeks of the year. Longer cruises that are outside of summer/school holidays are where you need to look. Any port in Europe that big ships visit are going to be inundated with tourists.
  18. Pricing fairly often gets wonky when you’re combining a GTY cabin with AI, and even more so if the category is nearly sold out.
  19. >>>France enter the chat. Hold my croissant.
  20. Sad to some, perhaps. They have to be forward thinking. Who is the next customer. The reality is the current crop of Boomers and Silent Gen will phase out of cruising, perhaps sooner than later. All it takes is one loss, a medical mishap or a hit to the finances and they are gone. A new crop of 'older and loyal' customers is what they are aiming to build. Edge class ships will be around in 20 years. Many of the Boomers/Silent Gen aged pax will not be. One a seven night Caribbean cruise nearly half of the passengers are Boomers (47%). That seems like a lot. However 43% are Gen X/Millennials/Gen Z. That number is what needs to continue to grow. Things will change. Boomers don't cruise the same way their parents did in the 60's and 70's and the Millennials and younger don't cruise the same way their parents did in the 80's and 90's.
  21. Quoting myself for context - too late to edit. Interestingly, outstanding FCC's for the same quarter were: 2023 .4 billion 2022 .6 billion 2021 1 billion A lot of that FCC was eaten up after the return to service between 2021 and 2022 then hit a wall between 2022 and today.

  23. Outstanding FCC's are .4 billion compared to 5.67 billion in regular customer deposits. COVID FCC's no longer expire.
  24. The increase to 20% was mentioned in the same document that discussed the increase to the daily gratuities as of July 11th.
  25. Princess pretty much gutted included dining outside of the MDR and buffet. Now everything is a la cart or you need to upgrade to a $60 or $80 pp/pd bundled extras package to have it included.
