  1. The first creates, the second preserves, and the third spends it away. What I see is people with tee shirts proclaiming they are spending their children's inheritance.
  2. Carnival doesn't issue cards, but I think it would have to be a new card. I don't beleieve you can add money to an old one.
  3. There is no right to cruise, much less rent a cabana..
  4. Never had an issue, but I only use gift cards to pay for cruises. I charge excursions to the Carnival card and get a 10% discount.
  5. Something traditional diners don't seem to think about is that the serving staff is waiting to serve them in the MDR, whether or not people show up. They still have to be prepared and the tables still have to be set.
  6. Not the first or last incorrect info on carnival.com
  7. Traditional and YTD have the same menus.
  8. That is not correct for Mardi Gras/Celebration
  9. The Cucina menu from Celebration/Mardi Gras. It is different from the other ships. CB-Cucina-Dinner-Menu.pdf
  10. Not true. The menu is the same across the fleet and the menus in the included specialty restaurants on the newest ships is a subset of what the other ships offer.
  11. Carnival does and if Carnival thinks a change is necessary, they would do so.
  12. You don't need size to control someone. Or weapons. You don't need cameras, everybody has them. I think the Carnival approach has it right. Somehow I can't see Mickey tasing someone at Disneyland. Unlike on land, you can't call for backup from the police. You are limited to what you have
  13. A few differences - the menu is different and Cucina isn't included - everyone pays. Having to cough up extra dough reduces demand. And the MDR size on other ships can accommodate everyone, even if they don't get their first choice.
  14. One thing the data tells them is no two cruises are the same. It certainly tells them Carnival cannot please everyone. I will say again the majority are happy with the arrangement.
  15. No, there isn't. We agree to disagree. An opinion on your part with no basis in fact. Carnival is doing what they need to in order to survive.
  16. as I mentioned some time ago. Same as they do with Loft 19. Change happens. The price was clearly too low since they sold out so quickly.
  17. One theory is to get rid of traditional dining.
  18. No, it really can't. There aren't the resources to allow everyone to choose (and get) what they want. Those on traditional dining can't have their cake and eat it too. It isn't fair to those who choose your time. They have to wait long enough as it is. The branded options aren't locked out - just the prime dining times.
  19. With your time dining, everyone has to be present anyway. With traditional dining at least there is a hard rule about the time.
  20. And charge extra for the privilege? Just like NCL? Carnival knows what they are doing and most people like it. Others will get used to it or move on.
  21. It's the fun ship, not the military. The problem isn't the staff, the problem is society and entitled people. Absurd on many levels. Ambulance chasers would be all over. Neanderthal thinking.
  22. If you look at the poll at the end, you can see a percentage of the takers fail the human test.
