  1. Certainly better than Bed Bath and Beyond, Sears, JC Penney, ToysRUs, etc. I have received several times that $1000 in shareholder OBC from CCL over the past 5 years.
  2. 9 people out of thousands on a cruise ship is almost statistically insignificant. We also know that a number of people who were initially refused were granted OBC if they reapplied. But non-rev cruises are excluded from the OBC and it is absurd to think someone should be granted additional money on a free cruise when the casino is already giving them more.
  3. Carnival used to tell you to lock it until they decided to crack down in booze snuggling. But they don't forbid it. TSA has nothing to do with the screening or other port security. Carnival should have reimbursed you for any damage up to their liability limit.
  4. Irrelevant. The POS computer should be all knowing.
  5. Perhaps you enjoyed filling the waste bin with all the Diamonds International and other propaganda along with unwanted logo items, ship pens, etc?
  6. If they are in your name, sure.
  7. The best names are those used by (or similar to) Royal and NCL since Carnival anything would come first, alphabetically.
  8. Then definite overreach by someone.
  9. Look at all the paper waste that Carnival has eliminated. They are to be congratulated! Shame on the other cruise lines. They clearly don't care.
  10. I don't believe mall cops are permitted to do that, so I would have been looking for someone's head on a platter. Was the luggage tag still attached?
  11. Makes perfect sense. You will only accept an answer of your liking and that is nonsense.
  12. CCL also has more cash on hand than Royal and NCL combined, none have great credit positions, yet Carnival never seems to run out of credit and even arranged a new revolving credit agreement a few weeks ago https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/carnival-corporation--plc-announces-arrangement-of-new-forward-starting-2-1-billion-revolving-credit-facility-301759157.html Nobody wants to foreclose on cruise ships. That could sink the lenders.
  13. Schwab bought TD Ameritrade, so if considering TD, just go with Schwab. Don't worry about fear mongers, especially on cruise internet boards. Why are you considering buying CCL?
  14. Reality and perception don't always line up. And whatever the bandwidth, apps will expand to consume it. It seems like almost everyone is live streaming at times.
  15. I thought it was nerve wracking. I wanted an excursion in St Martin, but if the ship didn't change time, it would leave before we got there. The operator didn't know since it was a one off cruise and the ship wasn't sure what the captain was going to do. The captain did decide to switch 1 hour, so the ship time was neither the home port time nor St Martin time. Once the ship did switch 1 hour there would be barely enough time for me to make the tour and when we arrived early in St Martin there was plenty of time. I think we arrived early, anyway, and I hustled to the marina where the tour left from.
  16. Not enough bandwidth as there is without broadcasting video that mostly won't be seen. Also, too many websites were linking to the feeds resulting in more wasted bandwidth. Every time Carnival fixed, they would come up with new workarounds. Spy vs Spy.
  17. My main camera almost drown in a rain forest in South America, but seems to be working okay now. Time will tell.
  18. I enjoy going around South America, and Carnival seems to get away with charging a premium for one off cruises. If sailed as non-revenue, they could knock that 90-100 way down.
