  1. Last time I was on Splendor was for a Panama Canal transit and they reserved one of the best viewing areas for Diamonds. Kicked everyone else out and upset a bunch of people. Good to have a plan B, C, etc.
  2. We had some great cruises booked on Radiance out of Galveston before they decided to move the ship to CA. It will be interesting to see if Miracle can do the Hawaii cruise in September or if that one is/will be cancelled?
  3. Bar Service isn't available in the Main Show Lounge during events! Make sure to grab a drink before you sit down!
  4. That's one of the wonky 220v outlets. I believe it was Ecstasy that has them, too. I finally unplugged the TV to get an extra outlet.
  5. Been to Roatan a number of times and never felt unsafe. Ship tours, independent tours, sometimes just jumping in a taxi. The cruise line isn't going to take you somewhere unsafe. There are a number of places along West Bay and the snorkeling can be great. I did like it better before condo city arrived and when it was just a dirt road to get there.
  6. Just as passenger covid cases are up, so are crew covid cases. While the visa issue is real, the crew shortage is amplified by crew illness.
  7. GTK and I'll be sure to pack a proctored test in my luggage.
  8. In your opinion. How do they avoid that on a b2b?
  9. If I win, do I have to pay taxes? We are required to file an IRS form W-2G for all slot jackpots of $1,200 USD or more and for all table game jackpots and payouts where the odds paid are 300 to1 or higher (e.g. some poker progressives and royal/straight flushes). There is normally no tax withheld on slot jackpots if the winner can provide a valid Social Security Number. If you are unable to provide a valid Social Security Number, however, we are required to withhold taxes at a rate of 29%. All table game payouts subject to tax reporting are also subject to withholding at a rate of 26% (29% if a valid Social Security Number cannot be provided). These tax guidelines are for citizens and permanent residents of the United States only.
  10. Yes, although I believe it will be a credit on your S&S card.
  11. The question has been raised about the age group which has recently become eligible for a booster.
  12. Forgot to point out that on at least one night, the late night comedy shows were in the main show lounge, so no lack of seats. It does lose some intimacy, though.
  13. Covid cases are up on land and at sea. Probably a number of passengers on the cruise are or will test positive. The crew is not immune. Maybe check roll call pages? That's how it was on our Dream cruise. Besides the visa issues, another reason for staffing issues.
  14. I think maybe before flu season there will be a combo flu/covid vaccine. I think if Verifly says I'm good to go Carnival will too. Worst case, I think they would retest me at the port even if I have to pay for it. Just my 2 cents. We should find out in a few days what the real Carnival interpretation is.
  15. Carnival doesn't currently have a policy on a second booster but I'm double boosted and plan on another booster in a few months since we have multiple trips to Europe. Approved or not.
  16. I must not have grabbed the night menu, but prices on the day menu went up a little room-service-day-turkey-bacon-2022.pdf
  17. Well, they do have caller id.
  18. I didn't have to, but I would call before standing in line for that. The special Diamond hotline, doncha know.
  19. P/D party was/is cruises of 5+ days.
  20. I suspect Verifly automatically kicks out unboosted people regardless of age. It's hard to build process into apps and keep the apps up to date when requires can change rapidly.
  21. Actually you can take the big bottles in the cabin. Yes, they will charge you, but they will also credit the sale, the same as if you pick up at any bar. But no double dipping.
  22. The question in your original post specifically asks about " I wonder if CCL will amend the Europe sailings again to require this age group to get the booster... ". But since you asked - if your cruise stops in Ireland - like Dublin - you will have a port stop in the EU.
