  4. Call HAL and notify them of your needs. When you buy their hotel you are entitled to a transfer.

  6. If they are going to miss their flights it is far better to change now, fees and all, than to wait to the future and try changing it standing in line. It is hard enough to get in touch with flight ease or an airline, why add that kind of stress to your life. Pay money now or pay in stress later
  7. If you immediately leave the ship by Uber and go directly you should be ok. Try to be at the airport no later than 11. 3.5 hours should be safe. After my experience I would go 4 hours next time. If you are on business class there is a lounge near the gates.
  8. Uber. Taxi. There is a free shuttle in Anchorage but that would require meeting at a spot and with luggage would not be worth the hassle.

  10. If you are booked. Sign in. Got to already booked, manage my bookings, select the booking. Now you are on your itinerary page. Click shore excursions, sort through ports. Read the descriptions, if you like it click buy now. It will ask for which people and if you want to use your credit. Click the appropriate boxes, place in cart. Go to cart and buy. You can also call and the shore excursions personnel can see your cart and help you complete
  11. They are not responsible if you miss your flight. HAL allows you to pick the flights. You may need to revisit your plans. Please reread the terms. What time is your flight?
  12. My TA has heard nothing. Every time I view my itinerary and my ship there is another week “unavailable “. It is almost midway through the season, I think HAL needs to finalize plans. They simply are not going to get more people to work at remote resorts this season
  13. If it is so easy why aren’t they informing guests. It is not rocket science.
  14. I had the premium package on a recent TA. if he wants it for business or streaming he will not be satisfied with the 6 day crossing when at sea. Once in Europe it will be as good as any shared connection. Shared connections will never be what you get at home. I agree, if it is important, I get up early in the morning to nab a better signal.
  15. I have mostly had lousy economy seats but have actually had some decent ones on short flights. As said above the pitch, width, materials and padding are selected by the airline and varies by airline. It is not a Boeing issue
  16. Because of our careers we only took 30 day vacations and when we started cruising a lot we naturally sought out long cruises. This is where you find great itineraries, you can do round trips if you don’t want to fly great distances, usually there are deeper enrichment programs on these ships and a sense of community develops. You get into a rhythm and soon the days are gone.
  17. If the cruise selected was for the correct time parameters it should only be $100. I booked one the other day and the website tried to take $200 where $100 was enough. I called and they fixed it. Seems to be a glitch
  18. Being at home in Netherlands those fares tend to be very sweet offers. I have gotten other decent fares but the Amsterdam to North America fares are superb. I think they simply do a fairly big volume from AMS
  19. I was there last month. I stayed at the Hilton Schiphol which is literally attached to the airport. I left my room at 7 for a 10:30 flight and it was ok, we had a few minutes to go to the lounge for a quick bite. I understand it has gotten worse since then. I would not try to get from the port to get onto a morning flight. we hired a driver for the debarkation day and toured the area outside of Amsterdam then arrived at the Hilton at 4:30. It was the perfect plan. I will do the same when I arrive in Rotterdam next spring.

  21. The cancellation offer is pretty generous making it more palatable, the hardship is in the lateness of notification. People are receiving notice from 10 - 14 days. That is just too short a window to rearrange other plans

  23. It seems it is only land and sea tours due to staffing shortages at the lodges
  24. I am trying to fit some botanical gardens into an upcoming cruise. I noted that Barbados has a few. Does anyone have any recommendations or advice. I would like to spend at least a few hours, maybe more, at the gardens. Which garden? Recommendations on transportation or guide service? Thank you.
