  1. We have a total of four CruiseNext certificates (two for each of us) applied to two existing bookings. If we cancel those two bookings, can we move those 4 CruiseNext certificates to two other existing bookings that do not currently have CruiseNext certificates applied? If so, will their value be reduced to the $125 we paid for them or will they maintain the $250 value they had when we originally used them as deposit on the cruises they are currently tied to?
  2. When StockPerks submitted our request to Princess, their email notification to us said the process for the SOBC to be posted to our booking will take up to 5 business days. Sure enough, it was posted to our booking 5 business days later.
  3. No, as @Thrak noted, the points have never served any purpose for us. Click on this link, then log in if you haven already. Then go down a ways and you’ll see the Princess Gift Cards among others you can order. You’ll order one, then go to the Cart and increase the number you want to buy up to 5. https://www.aarp.org/rewards/redeem/#sort-by=default
  4. A maximum of $425 per person per day (with a refundable deposit) for the base fare of a sky suite, to include gratuities, internet and beverage packages, sounds reasonable to me.
  5. Since cruising started back up if we only had the Basic internet package, we weren't able to log onto Cruise Critic or any other multi-layered website.
  6. No. My DW is the lead on our AARP account and I'm on it as well. But we needed a separate account so we could each order 5 every month. That's where the free AARP Rewards account came in very handy. AARP Rewards - Join Free, Earn & Get Rewarded
  7. See post 119 and 187 for the steps how to submit your brokerage statement, without logging into your stockbrokers account, using the ALIVEA option. The only personal information you need to provide when initially registering with StockPerks is your Name and Email address.
  8. Both my DW and I have separate AARP accounts, with mine being a free AARP Rewards account. We log into our respective AARP accounts at the beginning of the month to buy 5 cards each, for a total of 10. This approach definitely comes in handy as we have a lot of cruises currently booked with Princess.
  9. Sorry to hear you're running into login issues. I just logged on and bought 5 cards and all went smoothly. I'm sure you have already thought of this, but here is the AARP Rewards contact number. QUESTIONS If you have any questions, please contact Customer Service at 866-451-6305, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.
  10. This is what I am seeing when I clicked on the See Cruises link. But you're right, the sale doesn't end until today according to this promotion; although I don't see the $400 OBC perk mentioned anywhere in it. Princess Cruises Black Friday & Cyber Monday Sale Now Available - Princess Cruises
  11. Our favorite cruises now that we're in our early 70s are in the 3-5 week range and Princess does offer their share of pretty cool ones! A couple of suggestions. Always check out the Patter the evening before, so you have a plan for when you wake up the next day, even if it is just to meander around all day. Definitely plan to go the lectures, if you like that sort of thing, as they are always quite informative! Schedule some time to walk around the promenade every day to burn off some calories, as they do seem to "consolidate" in certain areas if you ignore them. If you like going to the evening shows, get there about 30 minutes early so you can find good seats to sit in. Remember you're probably on a cruise with a bunch of old people, so plan accordingly. If you're wondering what to do during the idle time waiting for the show to start, bring a deck of cards and play rummy like we do. You can also post to a Live From thread like I do (see my Signature area). Trust me when I say it will definitely keep you entertained during those slow times. Hopefully, you are booked in at least a balcony cabin as sitting out on the balcony can be quite relaxing on sea days along with offering some great views, especially if some birds or dolphins stop by to visit. There is also a high probably you're going to see some awesome sunrises and sunsets along the way! Anyway, that's a few ideas from over here in the peanut gallery. Have a great cruise!!
  12. We just enjoyed an awesome 17-day Japan B2B this past July which I posted some of our experiences to a Live From thread listed in my below Expanded Signature.
  13. We've cruised on both HAL (11 cruises) and NCL (4 cruises) as well as with a few other cruise lines, but only once in a Neptune suite and once in The Haven. First, we currently have 5 cruises booked with NCL, a B3B and a B2B. However, the B2B only shows up as "one" cruise when I log onto my account, even though they are advertised online as two separate cruises. It seems NCL chose to "link" the two legs together as one "combined" cruise with one booking number when we initially booked them through our TA. Not sure how that works if the fare for our cabin category on one of the legs goes down prior to final payment, and we want to refare it to get the lower fare applied. In any event, check your NCL confirmation to make sure your B2B wasn't "combined" under one booking number, as that might explain why you only see one cruise when you log into your account. BTW we also got only $100 SOBC for each 11-day cruise rather than $250 SOBC for the "combined" 22-day cruise. 🤔 As far as comparing the two cruise lines, my suggestion is don't but rather appreciate each one for what they "bring to the table". They are two totally different cruise lines, with different approaches when it comes to perk packages as well as catering to their guests, both in the entertainment and dining sectors, regardless of whether you are in a "suite" or not. But I will say The Haven does offer a unique "suite only" atmosphere on certain ships, such as the Getaway or any of their larger class ships, which you pay a serious price for, whereas not so much on their Jewel-class and smaller ships. In fact, we had more fun and experienced more of the ship environment, especially when it came to dining in their specialty restaurants over half the time, when we cruised in an aft-facing Club Balcony cabin on the Jade on a 38-day Africa cruise last year (see my Live From thread in my below signature area if you're interested). Anyway, that's my 2 cents on the subject.
  14. Ouch! So sorry to hear that. Like others have said, we hope you both feel better soon. I’m sure it wasn’t, but it sure sounds like Mr Montezuma came visiting as the symptoms you described sounded very similar to what I went through when we were there back in 2015. In any event thank you again for posting all your wonderful photos!
  15. We usually have at least that in Princess-provided OBC (MOBC, SOBC, FCD OBC, and sometimes promotional OBC) and prebook our excursions with it.
  16. For us IMHO it’s all about what 3-5 week itineraries a cruise line has to offer, and Princess definitely has the advantage over Celebrity in that area. As far as fun, food, and entertainment goes, they’re about even. As far as cruise fares go when comparing X Aqua cabins against PCL Reserve Collection cabins and X Sky Suites versus Vista Suites, PCL also comes out on top. But again, that’s just our opinion.
  17. Go to post #119 in this thread where I posted a step-by-step process to manually submit your brokerage statement without having to log into your brokerage account. BTW the only information you need to supply when creating your StockPerks account is your name and email address. All of the other personal information requested is optional.
  18. True, all the personal information when creating the StockPerks account is optional except for your name and email address. And, yes, it was weird Carnival Corp has not updated their shareholder benefits web page mentioning any of this yet, even though they are directing folks to use it instead of emailing in their SHB form.
  19. This StockPerks subject has been discussed quite a bit over on the Princess forum. Basically, when you launch the StockPerks app, then click on Carnival Corp and plc (then the specific Carnival cruise line) or Norwegian Cruise Lines, if you go all the way to the bottom of the main corporation list. Then after clicking on “Onboard credit per stateroom on sailings - Onboard credit”, click on the blue “Validate” button. Then click on the “Alinea” option, rather than the default Plaid option, to manually upload your brokerage statement when you are ready.
  20. Understand. We like longer 3-5 week cruises and currently have PCL ones booked to Antarctica/SA, Alaska, the Baltic, and TAs going from BA to Ft Lauderdale by way of Brazil and one from Barcelona to Boston by way of the UK and Iceland. But we're also looking to book more with HAL in 2025 and beyond, as they also have some pretty cool 3-5 week itineraries.
  21. I just tried it again using the Edge's "New InPrivate Window" option on my tower computer and it worked as advertised. Must be something in my browser's cache that's causing issues.
  22. When I click on the Refer-a-Friend link as you suggested, it simply took me back to the top of the page. However, when I click on the Military Benefit Program link right above it, that link worked fine.
