  1. That's cool. What is the "revised" date in the bottom left-hand corner of your Princess FCD form? The "old" form that I have that states the 2-year time frame states "Revised 7/2018". However, we have purchased a few FCDs since 2020 and you might notice the below expiration dates in my Personalizer have progressively gotten shorter. In 2020 it was 2 years (but got extended 1 year because of the pandemic), in 2022 it was 2 years, and in 2023 it has been reduced to 1 year.
  2. Just a curious question if I might in an attempt to understand the "Club Orange" option better. If you initially book one of the cheapest veranda cabin categories, say VF, then purchase Club Orange and are able to get a free upgrade to one of the most expense Veranda categories, say VB, is it even possible to refare the booking after that?
  3. Just for clarity, the Princess FCDs now expire within one year of purchase if you don't book a cruise with it. About future cruise deposit You can purchase a Future Cruise Deposit (FCD) on board as part of our Future Cruise Deposit Program. The Future Cruise Deposit is a reduced, fully refundable deposit of $100 per person that secures a booking until final payment and gives you up to $150 Onboard Credit! You’ll have up to a year to book your cruise with your preferred Travel Advisor or Cruise Vacation Planner or directly through Princess. If you don’t book during that time, we’ll automatically refund the FCD to the credit card used to purchase the deposit. Princess® Cruise Credits - What are Cruise Credits? - Princess Cruises
  4. You are going to have a great time! If you look in my expanded signature below, you’ll find my Live From thread covering our 38-day cruise on the Jade last fall, which included going to Madagascar, Reunion, as well as stopping at 3 South African ports, where we went on a NCL safari excursion at each one. I also posted pictures and descriptions of each. Hope this helps.
  5. We went on a Greenland and Iceland B2B in August 2022 on the Celebrity Summit and had a great time and even saw some Northern Lights cruising from Iceland to Greenland. If you expand my below Signature area, you'll see my Live From thread. The major difference is that we left from NJ and disembarked in Boston. But I know you enjoy cruising with Princess, so this B2B may not be an option for you. As far as excursions go, we walked around the Greenland port and the Iceland ports were all easy walking, except for Reykjavik, which I would highly recommend splurging and taking the Golden Circle excursion around Iceland. Princess Cruises - Excursion - Best of the Golden Circle It is a long flight from SFO to London that's for sure. However, there seems to be quite a few nonstop flights that a little over 10 hours, which isn't too bad, especially since it's nonstop. But I will say if you haven't been to these two locations before, they are pretty cool!
  6. According to windy.com, the weather forecast for Baltra seems quite comfortable (temperature wise) right now, and has been for the past few weeks. https://www.windy.com/-0.454/-90.276
  7. You might want to send an email to the hello@stockperks.com address listed by the OP to see what happened.
  8. Is there a booking number for each leg or are both legs of the B2B listed under one booking number?
  9. Under the booking’s Payments section in your Personalizer.
  10. Cool! If I might ask, how did you learn about the "hello" email address?
  11. That’s what we decided to do a while back. In fact, we’ve now dropped all the way down to an Edge class SV where we’ll have 4 different MDRs to choose from.
  12. Aren’t the Galápagos Islands awesome!! Your fantastic photos have brought back so many great memories from our Southern Loop cruise 8 years ago. We can’t wait to head there in a couple of weeks!! Thank you so much for sharing them with us! 😁
  13. Unfortunately, I was probably thinking that we get a discount if we prebook Wi-Fi on a Celebrity cruise. Sorry about that. I don’t think you get the discount with Princess since it’s so cheap when compared to what Celebrity charges, Yes, I would request a new confirmation from Princess just to confirm all the changes you applied have in fact been posted to your booking. Also when your DH logs onto the app, have him go to his profile in the bottom right hand corner just to make sure all looks good.
  14. I’m saying it took about 3 hours for StockPerks to initially verify we owned the 100 shares using the brokerage statement we manually uploaded using the Alinea option. Once we got that verification, we went back into the StockPerks app and the “Redeem Perk” link was now active so we could proceed to the next step as described in post 187. After we did that, it took a full 5 business days for the SOBC to be posted to our booking.
  15. You definitely need to make sure your first and last names as well as your birth dates match what’s on your passports. BTW when your DH logs onto the app using the booking number, make sure he puts in his name. It sounded like the App was thinking it was you for some reason. As far as if it’s cheaper to purchase Wi-Fi before or after you board, I really don’t have an answer as we always book the Plus Package. https://www.princess.com/en-us/cruise-deals-promotions/plus-premier-cruise-packages But here’s the Princess link discussing the Medallion internet options. https://www.princess.com/en-us/ships-and-experience/princess-medallionclass/medallionnet
  16. First things first. Create that Princess account and see how it goes. Since the cruise is not until next July, no need to worry about posting the CC to the booking just yet. His Member Number should be under his name on the Princess confirmation. If not, when he creates his new account, one will be created. Write it down and then contact your TA or Princess, whomever you booked the cruise through, to have it added to his name on the booking.
  17. Thanks. Now here comes the twist. What happens if some of that original $800 in OBC was refundable Military OBC and/or from a cancelled excursion during the cruise paid for with a credit card prior to the start of the cruise? No need to answer, but I just wanted to make a point. Figuring out the priority of "refundable" OBC at the end of a cruise, especially when a Gift Card is included in the mix, can be super tricky on occasion. No wonder Princess sends it off to a third party to figure out who gets what in the form of a check 6 weeks or so later. But just like @jwattle and others, we make sure all is spent before we leave the ship. Well, that is until we ran into our upcoming B2B issue I posted about on a different thread. 😂
  18. We were on the CB last month in the Reserve Dining Room on formal night sitting at a table where we had a clear view of an open seating table for 6 over in the MDR. There were 3 couples sitting there, each seated by the MDR host at different times. One of the gentleman who appeared to be in his 70s was wearing a tux, another gentleman probably in his 30s was wearing a black coat and dress shirt but no tie. The third gentleman was wearing an orange Costa t-shirt and tan shorts. All spouses were nicely dressed. If I was at that table dressed as usual in my long-sleeved dress shirt with a tie, being the retired military enlisted guy in his early 70s that I am, I would be as chatty as I normally would be. But afterwards I would be chatting with the MDR host to find out whether or not I have to wear this stupid tie on formal nights any more. 😁
  19. I believe by default your nonrefundable, then refundable OBC will be used to pay for any encountered onboard charges before posting a charge for any excess costs to your credit card at the end of the cruise.
  20. A couple of questions, if you know the answers. If you post a $500 Gift Card to your onboard account, is it earmarked as refundable or nonrefundable OBC? Also, it you combine it with $800 nonrefundable OBC already in your account and at the end of the cruise have a total of $350 left over in your account, does that $350 get put back on the Gift Card (if it was earmarked as refundable) to be used on a different cruise?
  21. First, have your husband log on to his Medallion app on his phone using the booking number of the cruise just to make sure he can, as logging on with an applicable Princess account's email address and password doesn't work for us either when logging onto the App. Second, have you posted a credit card to your booking yet as part of the check-in process? If so, make sure the other person is identified as an authorized user. This way for billing purposes you will both be under the same onboard account supported by the one credit card. As far as booking your own wi-fi packages prior to the cruise, the easiest way would be for your husband to create his own Princess account using the Princess Captains Club number listed on your booking. Then once that's done, you can each pre-purchase your respective wi-fi packages on your separate Princess accounts at a cheaper rate prior to the cruise. Of course, you will be required to pay for them at that time with a credit card. Plan B - You can also wait until you board the ship and pay the full price by ordering it through each of your Apps under the MedallionNet option listed under "Go to OceanReady". The subsequent charges will be posted to your "joint" stateroom account. Hope this helps. If not, please ask more questions.
  22. Maybe in the UK your Personalizer looks different than what we see in the US. Here's what I see when I first pull up one of my bookings in our Princess Personalizer. I then click on Travel to get the screen I noted in post #5. As you can see I am not seeing "Booking flights with Plane Sailing" anywhere on either screen.
  23. That sticks! Was the $500 (gift card) OBC line item on your shipboard account marked as refundable, meaning there was no designation to the right of it whereas "nonrefundable" would have been listed to the right of the $500 if it had been designated as nonrefundable OBC. I'm sure there was no "nonrefundable" designation listed, but I thought I would ask.
