  1. <<<<<<<< thinking: my hubby gets up at 5:45, despite complete silence... If there's noise above me, nbd. Maybe I can get one of those move ups the rest of y'all don't want?????
  2. At the risk of casusing strife: I have had the very good fortune to visit every US state at least 2 times, most 6 or more, many a dozen or more times. I have had excellent food in both NC and TX, I have had far more superb food in NC than in TX, even though I've been to TX more times. Carry on.
  3. Last (northern hemisphere) fall, we did two Alaska cruises, one on Celebrity, and one on Princess. Everything went right on X, much went wrong on Princess. We missed 3 of our 4 ports, due to weather (they were sailing much later than normal, in their efforts to get back to cruising). Each time we slowed down or lost a port, Princess threw OBC at us. We ended up with a ridiculous amount! They also put all Alaska merch on a 75% off sale, as it was the last AK cruise of the season (and last since 2019). We bought 4 Princess AK jackets, a bunch of Princess AK mugs, shot glasses, a couple of bottles of good booze, etc. AND a Princess collapsable rolling suitcase to carry them home in. My over 21 kids enjoyed the shot glasses, and all enjoyed the mugs and jackets. Christmas was so easy!!! We had an extra night of specialty dining, too. Princess also gave us a 35% FCC based on the low fare we had paid. That went toward our circumnavigation of Australia in October of next year. Between FCCs, gift card bonus offers, and gift cards received as actual gifts when PapaFej retired, we are paying about $0.37/$1.00 fare on that cruise. I salute you for your creative Christmas shopping!!!
  4. We did Santiago (San Antonio) to San Diego in 2019. It was tremendous! If you needed any encouragement to do it, consider yourself encouraged.
  5. He called himself Roxtar, or something like that. It definitely struck us as a self-given moniker. He was truly dreadful. Unless he has comprimising photos of an executive at X or RCI, I can't imagine why they keep him around. The rest of the crew and staff were very good or excellent.
  6. They might sell more Premiere packages if the specialty dining were two per 7 day segment. My next Princess cruise is 28 days. I've taken a couple as short as 3 days. I might be willing to do it on a 3 day cruise, but i certainly would not on a long one. Our most recent cruises were on Azamara. Our benefits such as laundry and specialty dining renewed after 7 days, which made a lot of sense to us.
  7. I do that, too. Then I open the marketing page in a separate window and double check before submitting.
  8. Those with non Apple phones might want to download the app that lets you know if an Air Tag is moving with you, even if you aren't interested in having them yourselves. It can let you know if someone has dropped one into your bag or attached one to your car. There have been quite a few news stories about this happening, especially to young women. They're terrific for many purposes, but can also be used for nefarious ones.
  9. We are B2B2B on the Summit in August and September, and will go to E+ after the second. We are planning on timing our laundry accordingly. 😜
  10. You can also order off-menu, within reason. I frequently have a bowl of fresh mixed berries for dessert.
  11. While I generally don't think the price increase is worth it for Concierge, the above is a good point. Also, Concierge cabins have an expanded room service menu for breakfast. We love having breakfast on the balcony, and being able to get eggs cooked to order would make me lean toward the slight upcharge for Concierge in this case.
  12. We do, too. The ones for the dogs even have cute little doggie icons on them. I was just offerering information for the person who asked where else to buy them. Thanks for chiming in, I think the engraving information may be helpful to others.
  13. If you have an Apple Store near you, that's a good place. Hubby thinks that Best Buy and Target might carry them. Costco now sells Apple products again. I don't know if they have the tags, however.
  14. Just popping in to say: if you are remotely interested in nature or culture, definitely prioritize Brent Nixon's talks. They're fantastic!
  15. Friendly reminder that vaccines work inside your body, not outside of it. They aren't force fields which prevent pathogens from getting in. they are instructions to your immune system as to what to do if the pathogen gets in. In other words, vaccines don't prevent you from catching cooties, they help your body fight cooties.
  16. We, also, have Apple Tags inside each checked bag, and in our carryons, just in case we accidentally walk off without one. We had an overnight layover in Helsinki last month, and it was quite a relief to know that our bags were on the same plane as we were heading home. We have one hidden in each vehicle, as well. We have them on the dogs' collars. My daughter recently moved in (I've got a rent-paying house sitter now, and we travel far more than we are home - woot!). We are currently home and when my daughter and I walk the dogs in the morning, I get alerts on my phone warning me that an unknown tag is following me. They're pretty cool in an "I consciously choose to let Big Brother watch certain things" sort of way.
  17. 2) We just ask our steward for fruit and cheese instead. Easy peasy. We've done it in both concierge and in Aqua.
  18. As with other cruise lines, people often have luggage.
  19. A Big Box store is a membership warehouse store. There is a large, US-based one, with many international locations that also has a travel agency. Jim mentioned finding the Move Up page being linked from Plan My Cruise. In my experience, it is under Manage Reservation, so you might want to check both. For me, I need toscroll down to the bottom to see the Move up graphic/ link.
  20. We did a back to back on the Connie in May. The first cruise, we were with friends, and ate dinner with them every night. Because I had heard they can sell out, we made sure to book the Veuve Clicquot dinner for the second cruise as soon as the departing passengers were off the ship. We were so excited to do it! The day of the dinner, we were called to say it had been canceled, as not enough people had signed up. In June, we did a Chef's Table dinner on the Azamara Pursuit for half the price of the VC dinner on Celebrity. It did include Veuve Clicquot with one course. That dinner was absolutely phenomenal! We'd do it again in a heartbeat!
  21. @jelayne mentioned in another thread quite some time ago that she goes straight the Martini Bar upon boarding and has a Lycheetini. I tried one for the first time on our first post-shutdown cruise last September. It was good! On our May 3 cruise, I had another, and texted her to let her know i was thinking of her.
  22. This information should be helpful:
  23. Log in and select "Cruise History" under the Captain's Circle section of the My Account menu. it will lead you to a page with your cruise history and the color of your medalliion, which corresponds to your loyalty level. From there, you can get to other pages with Captain's Club information.
  24. We were on for 23 days in May, and I concur. The only complaint would be the awful guy who ran trivia. The ship itself, and the rest of the crew were just lovely.
  25. I have the Maker. I have made stencils with mine for painting and for glass etching. I don’t know about airbrushing. You might consider looking for Cricut groups on the Zuckerberg social media platform. There are many of them, including one for campers and one for doing Cricut projects with supplies from DollarTree. I do mostly vinyl and paper projects, and I’ve barely chipped away at the tip of the iceberg of what the machine can do. I did design my current avatar in the Cricut Design Space software. Best of luck to you!
