  2. We were there in 2019 it was fine.
  3. Embassy Suites in Honolulu. Happy Hour every day , includes great breakfast every morning. Nice hotel.
  4. I consider myself a fairly decent cook, I cook at home quite a bit. I don’t think the decline of the food quality on Celebrity has anything to do with the chefs and their kitchen staff. I know when I use better ingredients I put better tasting meals on the table. It’s that simple.

  6. Sometimes companies forget the reasons why they became successful. IMHO the major demographic on Celebrity are at the stage in life where good food is a very important part of a vacation. I know COVID clobbered the cruise industry, however from personal experience and research, I think these ships are sailing at capacity for the most part , the passengers seem to be enjoying their cocktails, casinos ect…… so hopefully management can actually achieve a solution to paying down debt without ruining a product that so many people truly enjoy.
  7. Sometimes they run flash sales where you can purchase a laundry package pre cruise at significant savings. These packages are found in the cruise planner online in the gifts section. Worth looking into. Hope you have a great cruise 🚢.
  8. A very busy and exciting time for you both. Hope you have a great cruise 🛳️ and best of luck 🍀 with everything going forward. The ABC islands are a personal favorite of ours, the equinox is a great ship with a fantastic crew.
  9. Another money grab. Whoever the genius is that thinks up these ideas needs to get onboard a few cruises as a “ customer “ and get a feel for what flies and what doesn’t. These “ high end “ shops onboard are another waste imho because you never see anyone buying anything from them. Finally , the “ affordable “ cruise momento merchandise , while not at all cheap is of poor quality so as not to be attractive for purchase. If they stepped up the quality these items would sell big and provide Celebrity Cruises with some great onshore advertising.
  10. Do they provide a laundry form to go with the bag for the wash and fold option ?
  11. Once on the Zuiderdam I booked a very spacious inside cabin the Main Deck. That evening we realized we were under the BB King Blues Lounge , The music while quite good prevented my wife from being able to sleep. Lucky for us , customer service folks were able to locate us to a quiet cabin the next day. We were fortunate that it was available, the crew on the Zuiderdam were extremely helpful getting this situation resolved for us.

Hi Everyone To you folks who are experienced European cruisers , can you tell me if the luggage drop off in Barcelona ( as well as other European cities ) is the same as it is here in the USA, with the porters taking your luggage at the pier ? Also is the disembarkation in Barcelona ( and the other European cities) the same as here in the USA ? Meaning , that porters are available if you need one . Thanks in advance.

Maybe booking airline tickets is a no win situation for a travel agent , think about it , no commission and when something goes wrong ( and these days it does with regularity ) the travel agent has to try and deal with the mess created by cancellations or delays of flights , not to mention seat assignments.

  15. Hi Everyone, If booked on a B to B cruise Ft.Lauderdale to Barcelona , Barcelona to Barcelona would you have to get off the ship and back on again in Barcelona or can you remain onboard ? Thanks in advance.

  18. We had reservations select dining 6 pm. Upon boarding the ship we went directly to the maitre d to confirm our reservation, we were informed that we were assigned to a large table at 8:30 pm. That was not going to work for us. , we were then told to report at 6:15 to the mdr and the maitre d would “ see what he could do “ we reported at 6:15 and were seated at a table for two , we were told to do that AGAIN on night 2 of the cruise , which did. Again seated at a different table for 2 . When leaving the dining room we were informed that would be our table for the duration of the cruise. My question is how does one avoid this confusion going forward ? After all , we did have a RESERVATION.
  19. We always tip extra , the amount varies on the level of service which in most cases has been outstanding. I am curious if the crew ( cabin steward, waiters, Maitre D s ) are aware if you have already paid the required gratuities in advance ? Thanks

  21. Thanks for the detailed reviews with pictures. Glad you were able to enjoy your cruise. I pride myself as a home / grill master and cook . so I appreciate your perspective. The cruise lines got clobbered during the covid shut down as most of us know, it would be great to see them return to the better dining offerings as before , hopefully sooner than later.
