  1. I always order the sundae from the kids Menu in chops.
  2. Hey I get it, it's a sacrifice for some. I've had one since I was a kid and think it is just a good thing to have in case of emergencies. However, I'm the guy who has a get away bag stashed for my wife and I and over a years worth of emergency food stored in a hidden location ๐Ÿ™‚
  3. I don't care if they do or don't, I just don't understand people who don't want one. The idea that why bother because you'll never need it again seems lame to me. How do you know you won't need it in 2 or 5 years down the road. I can't imagine so certain about the future.
  4. That only works for folks who don't want flavoring in their lattes. I'm good with that but DW always wants Caramel or Vanilla or Mocha so she always ends up at 270 of Cafe Promenade. If they'd start laying out flavoring in the Diamond lounge I'd really have it made...
  5. This was my experience on our last two cruises since making Diamond. It works especially well for us since DW will only order 1 Latte in the morning and 1 Daiquiri Mocktail in the afternoon. That leaves me with two of hers to consume on top of my four. I definitely came out ahead paying cash for my less expensive drinks like beer and cider and using the vouchers on the $14 beverages.
  6. ditto for me. I have never been weighed getting on Northstar. It gives great views of whatever port you are in and it's free... Why wouldn't you do it is a better question?
  7. So a few days back I mentioned my night Christmas Day flight debacle with Southwest. This afternoon, unsolicited, I received an email with an apology for the inconvenience and 25,000 Southwest points. That's worth of $300 I'd imagine. For all the headaches not the day that is not bad customer service after the fact.
  8. All OBC I have ever gotten pre-cruise was also available on the ship. I have had the reverse happen... OBC that didn't show up until day 2 onboard the ship but never as the OP described.
  9. I'm with you. I had actually heard of it but don't think I've ever eaten it. If I had seen it before it was cooked up into something I doubt it would pass my lips...
  10. Thank Doc, I was hoping you would chime in. With both your medical degree and football experience I figured you'd have great insight.
  11. This was my first thought... I have heard of it happening in hockey but it is very rare. Take a puck to the chest at precisely the wrong moment...
  12. One thing I forgot to mention. Depending on the ship you may or may not need an extension cord... Check YouTube for video's of your prospective cabin to determine if you will need an extension cord. Plug locations vary by ship and cabin type.
  13. Along with the phone number that @Ashland has listed you can also just submit a for from here... https://www.royalcaribbean.com/resources/guest-special-needs Or as has already been mentioned you can wait to get on board and request it from cabin attendant. I usually submit the form. about 50% of the time it is in my cabin when I arrive. When it's not I just mention it to the cabin attendant before dinner on Day 1 and it is there in the evening.
  14. No because the tools in Sacramento let 73% of the all fresh water flow strait out in the ocean without diverting it to farm or urban use. This is a man made drought.
  15. I imagine you get a lot more of it than we do in the Central Valley. I had stuff I wanted to do today outside... Now I'm sitting in my recliner complaining about the cold. I can't believe that I have lost all my inherent Vancouver imperviousness to cool damp weather. It's not even really cold and I'm miserable about it.
  16. Another dreary day today. It's overcast and the forecast is for rain to start again in about a half hour. I'm about sick of it. We got one day of respite yesterday with some nice sunshine and were back to the rain again this is so weird.
  17. Thatโ€™s great for guys. We have a weird wet new year. It is wet and damp and drizzly, which is not normal around here, and feels like Iโ€™m back in Vancouver. Whatโ€™s weirder is that the forecast shows that itโ€™s going to be drizzly and in the 50โ€™s for the next week or so.
  18. Happy Birthday Andrew. Enjoy your cruise and your respite from a bitter Canadian winter. http://bmacards.com/ac8jW0
  19. Here is a video of 10636. I couldn't find anything on the other cabins you listed.
  20. I'm a little anxious too... ๐Ÿ™‚ We sail Harmony next December when she is sailing from Galveston. I'm chomping at the bit to get a good look at her through Andrew's eyes.
