  1. Just as an add on to my original comments. I'm with @taglovestocruise If I'm doing a TA It'll be on an Oasis or Quantum class ship. There are too many sea days where I'm going to be looking for entertainment that I'm not going to find. Enchantment would be very peaceful and relaxing but I'm afraid I'd be bored.
  2. The change will cost me the price of one Latte. DW will get a Latte in the morning of debarkation day. If vouchers are eliminated for debarkation day I'll be paying cash for that.
  3. The guy who worked at Coffee bar on Adventure in Dec 2019 was on Liberty Dec 2021. He remembered my wife and almost remembered her special order. She gets multiple Latte's a day... sugar free vanilla Latte with no fat milk and 2 Splendas. He forgot about the Splenda. Amazing after 2 years.
  4. 1. Middle of the pack 2. Small and old. On a TA it will be mostly adults with very few kids. 3. About the same as any other typical OV cabin. 4. You'll have access to the whole ship except for a couple suite specific areas, which are few. Also the Diamond lounge will be restricted. That is a very small and insignificant portion of the ship. 5 I don't know for sure for a TA but I sailed Serenade (sister ship) in rougher Alaskan waters and we were fine. 6. Based on your summary of drinks I'd say you'd probably get good value out it. 4 alcoholic beverages plus a few extras like Latte's, soda and bottles of water and you are golden. I'd get it in your situation. 7. I don't recommend the Unlimited Dining Plan on this ship, if they even sell it on Serenade. I think Enchantment only has Chops... You'd be bored stuck exclusively to Chops. Get a couple specialty meals to give yourself some variety from the MDR. We always at least get lunch at a specialty restaurant on Embarkation day to help ease the chaos of the the first day in the buffet. For spa services wait until you get onboard and look for daily specials. DW always pre-books a massage on the first day but you don't get a deal doing that way. She does that because she wants a specific time. Every other service she'll book on the ship based on whatever other specials they have going..
  5. I was the same as you Bon. I always felt uncomfortable posting a like when someone shared some bad news. That being said, when I posted some unfortunate news of my own and It garnered a host of likes it actually felt comforting to know people were thinking about me. I'm like Brillo now. I see it as "I care and am thinking about you"
  6. This is a crowd sourced document. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kZ1gCFtt1eiX1OWw9q-8tnEU5uQCWIjBwQt-w3t040s/edit#gid=1881900306 It appears that Harmony still has O3B. I'm sure it is changing fast though. Hopefully you get lucky.
  7. Exactly, with all these d+'s swearing off cruising with royal because they lost access to a couple of C lounges the D lounge is going to be deserted. 😉
  8. I've been in Phoenix for a week. Had the day off today and drove up to Sedona. It's my first time up there. and wow is it beautiful. This is mountain therapy, Arizona style. Wandered around and enjoyed the views and shopping and then had a great dinner at a little Italian place. I'm only here to thru Tuesday next week. I think I need to head up there one more time.
  9. I got my 11/18 refund this morning. All is well.
  10. Oh yeah I see it now. I missed Odyssey when I went looking... It's funny because we did that ship and itinerary earlier this year in Feb, you'd have thought that would have popped out to me when went looking. You'll love it. Great ship and a great itinerary. It was probably my favorite cruise so far.
  11. I've got a Monday so I have two more days to wait. If I'm looking on Royal's site correctly that would mean you are on Symphony. It's nice itinerary, my first eastern is coming up in March.
  12. Having participated in a few over the years I have never seen someone acknowledge that their position has changed one iota after this discussion. Most questions are asked with the the decision already made and they are just looking for validation of the decision. Getting worked up over what anyone does or doesn't do in this regard has no utility whatsoever. I will chime in if asked about what is customary to a specific situation that I may have direct experience in (ie. tipping cash when on the UDP, etc) but that is about it. The OP had already decided no to participate in the auto-gratuity program. The posts trying to convince them otherwise is just "tilting at windmills".
  13. After reading this thread I have changed my mind on tipping. From now on I'm going to stand in the middle of the promenade, naked, and throw $1 and $5 bills in the air as high as I can and whoever picks them up gets to keep them.
  14. This is the weirdest line in the original post. D+ access to CL was the only thing that separated these four lines. I don't know that you could find four more disparate cruise lines. If you had written Carnival, Norwegian and Royal I might give some credence to this screed however, suggesting you are moving to these other lines because of this one minor change seems rather disingenuous. I'm sure you will enjoy Virgin or whatever line you choose to cruise. Will you have access to their equivalent of a CL?
  15. Great, thank you. I think we miss you folks by 10 days. We get on Jan 30th.
  16. Wow, we're on that one too. It'll great to meet you. Next one is Navigator 1/30/23
  17. Can you have the suite concierge book all your UDP reservations prior to you arriving on the ship. We have a suite on Navigator in Jan as well as on Oasis in March. Just wondering if that is something that they do?
  18. I do not... I work for a non-profit and routinely donate to charity. I'll keep the tax benefit to myself. Corporations don't do it out altruistic virtue. They do it so that you can pay to lower their tax payable. The administrative costs come out twice. Once by the collecting corp and then again by the receiving charity.
