  1. Try being a truck driver. They have to survive on Red Bull and late night truck stop jalapeño poppers.
  2. I’m discovering that I have to watch that. Especially later in the evening. I love a good burger but it’s lunch at the latest or else I pay at about 230 am
  3. The one advantage to the pay version on a sea day is they hang you out over the side of the ship. It’s kind of a cool view
  4. Oatmeal raisin cookies looking like chocolate chip cookies is the reason I have trust issues.
  5. For those interested in loading up a suitcase for these staff members currently starving... https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ramen-Express-by-Chef-Woo-Beef-Flavored-Ramen-Noodles-2-25-oz/810340691 or... https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ramen-Express-by-Chef-Woo-Roasted-Chicken-Flavored-Ramen-Noodles-2-25-oz-12-Pk/394717279?athcpid=394717279&athpgid=AthenaItempage&athcgid=null&athznid=si&athieid=v0&athstid=CS004&athguid=C2iIG3g7qtYj6OYVQuO9I89YhiDzeE_eZHZQ&athancid=null&athena=true I'm going to bring an extra suitcase full of these instead of extra tips. Instead of two $1 bills with my drink order I'm going to hand a noodle package with my seapass card. I'm sure my favorite bartender will enjoy 5 of these on day 7 more than an extra $20 bill I usually hand out on the last night.
  6. You can ask your cabin steward for it anytime. We did one time right on day one of our trip that included a land portion prior boarding the ship.
  7. I'm not so sure that that is true. With that many in kids in the age range they are, pretty islands aren't always the first criteria. I don't know much about Carnivals celebration but ship board entertainment for the kiddo's would be high on my list of things I care about.
  8. Maybe, let us know how it goes? Have we confirmed it doesn't work yet?
  9. You are right about the kids/teen programs. We took our three grand kids in Dec 2019. Ages were 16, 14 and 10. 16 and 14 year old had no interest but the 10 year old was absolutely stoked by it. It really depends on the temperament of the kids.
  10. Just as an add on to my original comments. I'm with @taglovestocruise If I'm doing a TA It'll be on an Oasis or Quantum class ship. There are too many sea days where I'm going to be looking for entertainment that I'm not going to find. Enchantment would be very peaceful and relaxing but I'm afraid I'd be bored.
  11. The change will cost me the price of one Latte. DW will get a Latte in the morning of debarkation day. If vouchers are eliminated for debarkation day I'll be paying cash for that.
  12. The guy who worked at Coffee bar on Adventure in Dec 2019 was on Liberty Dec 2021. He remembered my wife and almost remembered her special order. She gets multiple Latte's a day... sugar free vanilla Latte with no fat milk and 2 Splendas. He forgot about the Splenda. Amazing after 2 years.
  13. 1. Middle of the pack 2. Small and old. On a TA it will be mostly adults with very few kids. 3. About the same as any other typical OV cabin. 4. You'll have access to the whole ship except for a couple suite specific areas, which are few. Also the Diamond lounge will be restricted. That is a very small and insignificant portion of the ship. 5 I don't know for sure for a TA but I sailed Serenade (sister ship) in rougher Alaskan waters and we were fine. 6. Based on your summary of drinks I'd say you'd probably get good value out it. 4 alcoholic beverages plus a few extras like Latte's, soda and bottles of water and you are golden. I'd get it in your situation. 7. I don't recommend the Unlimited Dining Plan on this ship, if they even sell it on Serenade. I think Enchantment only has Chops... You'd be bored stuck exclusively to Chops. Get a couple specialty meals to give yourself some variety from the MDR. We always at least get lunch at a specialty restaurant on Embarkation day to help ease the chaos of the the first day in the buffet. For spa services wait until you get onboard and look for daily specials. DW always pre-books a massage on the first day but you don't get a deal doing that way. She does that because she wants a specific time. Every other service she'll book on the ship based on whatever other specials they have going..
  14. I was the same as you Bon. I always felt uncomfortable posting a like when someone shared some bad news. That being said, when I posted some unfortunate news of my own and It garnered a host of likes it actually felt comforting to know people were thinking about me. I'm like Brillo now. I see it as "I care and am thinking about you"
  15. This is a crowd sourced document. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kZ1gCFtt1eiX1OWw9q-8tnEU5uQCWIjBwQt-w3t040s/edit#gid=1881900306 It appears that Harmony still has O3B. I'm sure it is changing fast though. Hopefully you get lucky.
  16. Exactly, with all these d+'s swearing off cruising with royal because they lost access to a couple of C lounges the D lounge is going to be deserted. 😉
