  1. After these last four or five years following your posts, Owen seems like a really impressive young man. Congrats, that's a really nice looking ride. 🙂
  2. Galveston Express is $30 pp and easy to schedule and highly reliable.
  3. I read that complaint here regularly but it's 45 minutes from Houston Hobby to Galveston. That's the same as flying into Orlando and cruising out PC yet I never hear people make that same complaint.
  4. Just for the record... I do have empathy for the OP no matter what their experience is cruising or on forums. We had a calamity no to dissimilar back in Dec and thankfully we were able, at some expense, to rectify it before sailaway and everyone was on the ship as expected. Albeit close...
  5. So today was the day for stuff to break 😠 This morning, first thing, the belt on the dryer snapped. I managed to get the new belt ordered and it will arrive on Monday sometime. However, I'm flying out to Orlando on Tuesday so I'm really skeptical about DW and I getting all the laundry we need doing done on Monday night and still packing and being ready to roll to the airport. So after getting that part ordered up I went to have a shower and while showering, the extraction fan suddenly died. Back to Amazon and new fan ordered. It's arriving tomorrow but I'm pretty busy tomorrow so we'll see. Then after getting out of the shower and getting settled into some work today on the computer I foolishly set my MacBook Pro on the seat next to me and got up to get a cup of coffee. It slid off the chair at exactly the wrong angle and broke the screen and hinge. I called a local Mac repair shop and they tentatively quoted me $867 to repair assuming there is nothing else broken. It's a two year old MacBook. It just pained me spend that much on a two year old device so I have gone out bought a new one. If anything else breaks today you'll hear the screaming three counties away.
  6. After reading the draft guidance I'm no more clear on what happens with DBP or Diamond vouchers or even included food. How are they going to price included food as billable item for VAT purposes. I imagine with the drinks they just charge it out at the ship board price. But even that seems ambiguous after reading that.
  7. I was shocked at the price too. I'm just thankful and looking forward to a great day at Labadee... I've got The Haiti coastal cruise booked as well as a zipline. I'm quite stoked for the day. 🙂
  8. I suspect the OP won't be back to add to or provide any more clarification to the original post. 🙂
  9. None of my 2025 bookings have anything of consequence in the cruise planner yet. My first one is 2/2/25 though so you are inside the one year mark. I'm sure stuff will pop up soon.
  10. How late does it let you stay onboard and what time is your flight home?
  11. No I don't think you get the double points. That's the downside. Edit: If @ONECRUISER says he got them then I am wrong. He travels solo all the time and would be more knowledgeable. I just thought I read somewhere here on CC that said no double points unless booked as a single.
  12. You won't be disappointed... We loved ours and were disappointed that they haven't gone on sale again for our trip next week. Even BF the price was still higher than I wanted to pay. This score on the Hilltop Cabana I got for next week will be good to contrast our experience with the Bungalow. I'll check back in on this thread in a couple of weeks with my thoughts.
  13. I never even put my C&A number in... I check prices every once in a while but not like I used too. Group space, which as you know is most of what I book, is always the cheapest. I just saw the thread and was curious. The few that aren't sold out in my category are all substantially higher now and any little OBC wouldn't come close to making a difference.
  14. Sorry that is not what I meant. I just meant that I have been there, spent a week there and if and when I get out that way again I'd want to spend time in a different city. We loved Rome and seeing the sites was amazing. The Colosseum, Vatican City and all the great food was amazing and I'd go again. But I'd love to go to Athens as well and if I was choosing one or the other I'd choose Athens this time just because it was different. I don't remember that. Whatever your choice is I'm sure it will be an amazing time. You can't really go wrong.
  15. I've been to Rome. Spent a week there in 2017 in conjunction with my Western Med Cruise. Next time it'll be Eastern Med so I'd probably choose to explore Athens.
  16. I see it now... It appears that it isn't available on Balcony cabins. The first one I checked was a balcony cabin I have booked and nothing but if I backed out and tried again in an interior it showed the OBC.
  17. I'm looking at my cruises right now but not seeing anything. Where does it show up?
  18. My wife says we're going to be spoiled now! First we got our RoyalUp to the JR suite yesterday and now scoring this Cabana! I'm feeling pretty uppity right now. To the OP. Sorry for all the highjacking of your thread. You can't go wrong with either decision. Pick whichever one you feel is the best deal.
  19. NYE is probably what I was thinking about... I just remembered you saying something about Contrasting and comparing an AI with your usual suite experience on Royal... I was off CC quite a bit at the tail end of Dec so must have missed your comments on it... We had just gotten back from our B2B on Harmony and my oldest granddaughter got married on the 30th. I was a pretty chaotic time. This thread is, at times, a little tough to keep on. Sometimes I fade in and out and will miss big sections of it.
