  1. Sorry this is happening... Missing out is such a disappointment. Hopefully things work out.
  2. I am more cautious in downtown LA than I am on Labadee. I won't even drive through Chicago. Portland is a seething cesspool. I could go on and on... This fear mongering over Labadee is nonsense.
  3. No one to contact if you are inside the strictest cancelation period. Just show up and tell them she isn't coming. Cruise planner purchases, taxes and fees will be refunded automatically.
  4. Sucks you have a crappy TA... Mine would have had mine to me within minutes of payment being processed.
  5. I have been successful canceling excursions onboard up to 48 hours in advance. I once tried to cancel within 24 hours but was denied.
  6. Contact, travel agent and ask them to send you a copy of Royals invoice. Problem solved.
  7. I was pretty disappointed as well. I'll probably book one but only because it's convenient.
  8. I've been on Liberty twice. Once in Oct 2018 and a second time in Dec 2021. The Liberty 2018 sailing was the cruise that addicted me to Royal Caribbean Cruise line and to cruising in general. I have another Liberty coming up in September, 9 night Canada/NE cruise. While being an older ship she is still a great ship and I'm already counting down the days until we sail. She is bigger than Explorer but just a little. You only really notice it Promenade. It has one my favorite ice shows.
  9. Yes, you can switch up one of the passenger up to 72 hours before sailing.
  10. Yes, it'll be on your seapass card. I've never tried but I imagine you could change subject availability.
  11. I was on Adventure last week. The coffee machine in the CL was working most of the time. Occasionally the milk steamer would malfunction but the concierge became an expert at fixing every time it happened.
  12. Quick question for @bobmacliberty While searching old threads I saw you asking about cabin 13190 on Quantum. I'm considering that one. I was just wondering if you sailed in that cabin and what you thought of the obstruction?
  13. This is essentially what we had on Adventure last week. We had 6:45 MTD pre-booked everyday. The headwaiter set us up at the same table and we could walk strait into the MDR without waiting in the "reservations line" at the entrance. It was perfect for us. 5:00 is too early and 8:00 is too late.
  14. I love it... I think it is the best slide on any Royal ship. I don't think it is particularly scary but I'm pretty adventurous so I'm not sure about you. If you've ok zip lining this should be fine too.
  15. Welcome to Cruise Critic, thank you for digging up this valuable, over one year old, thread. Royal Caribbean will certainly be sorry to see you go 🙂
  16. Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed with these LA itineraries on Quantum... Cabo and Ensenada. I don't even get off the ship anymore in Ensenada. I was hoping for a some California coastal cruises or a Hawaii or just anything but what they offered. I feel like the kid who just opened all his presents on Christmas morning and all he got was clothes! 😞
  17. Yes it is, it is our first JS. We are usually OVB people but got this on a low Royal Up bid... We've had a couple of OV Panoramic suites before and CLS. This is a nice room. It doesn't come with all the suite perks but is still a nice little upgrade all things considered.
  18. We got back Saturday night and I have been going nonstop since. This is, really, my first opportunity to post. Here is a little cabin tour video I took while on Adventure. I know a couple express concerns about the potential obstruction I would have being on the 6th deck but it wasn't terrible. It was really peaceful back there and DW spent quite a bit of time on our deck quietly reading. I'd happily have the cabin again for the right price.
  19. I'd book a suite... That's what I did for our 30th. It made everything a little more memorable.
  20. It's not near as fast as. you might think. I will do it a few time over the course of a cruise. Kids will do it a lot more. Same thing for the zip line. I'll do it a time or two and then that's it.
  21. The wind is blowing today Sorry to the android users, I don’t know how to convert this to a format you can see. Waves.mov
  22. As far as MSC goes… we are one and done with them. I think if I regularly sailed suites I’d be more inclined to give them a second chance. I keep hearing that yacht club is an amazing experience that vastly exceeds Royals suite experience. Our first experience was very substandard. We know what we get with Royal and we’re comfortable with that. Generally we’re in a balcony with the odd suite thrown in. I might try them again somewhere down the road just for the yacht club experience to give it a comparison but like @Sea Dog said likely will be after I hit diamond plus.
  23. Once I I decided to get insurance the annual plan was the only thing that made sense to me. It doesn’t to take more than two cruises a year to make it make good value. .
