  1. That’s the problem. It’s really minor but I keep feeling like I’m getting the runaround. This shouldn’t be that hard. It certainly never has in the past. I pre-ordered an extension cord for my CPAP machine via special needs. Received confirmation via email 2 months ago. it wasn’t in the room when we arrived. However, there was a QR code that you could scan for ordering things to the room. So of course I tried that and the app said it would be delivered in half an hour. Of course it wasn’t. I asked my stateroom attendant and he said he would get it for me. When it hadn’t arrived in the evening, I asked him again and he said he was waiting on his supervisor to bring it. He called this supervisor again and requested it. I could hear one half of this conversation so I expected to see it shortly. It never showed up went down to guest services and asked them about it. They got on the phone told me that someone was on the way to the room now to deliver it. So I went to a show when I came back from the show still no extension cord. Went back to guest services. Different representative gets on the phone and ask this mystery person about my extension cord and then tells me they are on the way right now to my room. I ask, are you sure, that’s what they said three hours ago. I was assured yes they are on their way now. So off to my room I go. Of course nobody showed up by 11:30 when I went to bed. So, in order to get a to work, I have it strung from the outlet at the desk to a chair near the bed. However, the cord is now waste height spanning the room because if I try and laid it on the ground, I don’t have enough cable to reach close enough to the bed. it’s a tripping hazard, I could knock the machine over and break it, the whole set up looks hillbilly. again, it’s a minor thing, but for me to get a decent night sleep I need that machine in the evening.
  2. So I’m having a little problem with something here onboard AOS. I have spoken to my stateroom attendant twice who in turn spoke to his supervisor (I was there for one of his calls so I know he made) and nothing was done. I went to guest services and requested this line rectified and was assured some would head to my stateroom shortly. 3 hours later still no one had made it to my room so I went to guest services again last night at 1030. I was told some was on their way there now. Of course nobody showed up. Who do I escalate this to. I don’t want to be a jerk or an overly demanding passenger I just need this resolved. Thoughts? Heading to Giovanni’s for lunch. I’ll check back after.
  3. I use Allianz and have an annual policy. However, my daughter had coverage through Kaiser Permanente. My SIL is a state employee and their coverage is fantastic.
  4. Under $1200 ! You got off cheap. On my last cruise in December my daughter had a medical emergency and Royal billed us $2700. Thankfully, insurance covered 2629 of it. we were very impressed with Royals medical team.
  5. I started with a Goombay Smash then a Strongbow on the pool deck then down to the schooner for the old fashioned now I’m working on my second Moscow mule in the Champagne Bar after getting my haircut in the spa. I’m off to a very good start.
  6. For our December sailings we had a brief window in Oct when the price dropped to 67.99 but for over a year the best price I saw was 72.99

  8. Another pre cruise day in Orlando… Today we tried Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It was a little lame but not to bad. We’re not to far from Disneyland and DCA at home so I want to try something a little different. We didn’t get the chance to try the new Avatar ride. I’m not waiting 2 hours for anything. Had we gotten on that it it might have decreased the lame factor. The animals were pretty interesting though.
  9. Had a great first day In Orlando. When in Florida eat like a Canadian 😆 By my Canadian Poutine standards I’d give it a “B”. The bacon was a little inauthentic but I enjoyed it and the seasoned curly fries was a unique twist. The Blues Brothers street performance was great. Went back and saw it twice. “Ruh Roh”
