  1. I like Oasis too. What I liked the most about Odyssey was sitting at the railing overlooking the sports court and watching the sports on the massive big screen.
  2. If you're going to do both then this is the way id do it too. BBQ for a diner and Playmakers for a late lunch
  3. I'm tempted for Bella2. Problem is we have my wife's birthday cruise in March. I'm not sure I can swing both yet.
  4. I really liked Playmakers on it. I thought the location over the Seaplex was the best location on any ship.
  5. I did that exact one when we were on Serenade August 2021. It was epic. I'm sure that I am ruined for Whale watching tours forever after. The experience we had was so good I'm not sure it could ever be replicated. We had Humpbacks that leaped out of the water around us constantly. We also were able to see them right up close. One time one got so close, rolled over and flicked his tail up in the air as he passed, I could have reached out and touched it as it passed. You'll love that excursion. The views at the glacier are great as well.
  6. I thought that too but loved both Ovation and Odyssey.
  7. I had never noticed the "tasters" before until my last two cruises on navigator and oasis. Both times the lines to get a short were massive so I gave it a pass. Your experience might be different on Enchantment but it seems dumb do stand and wait in line for 30 minutes for a 5 minute massage.
  8. I'm not sure if you some of you haven't noticed but the OP has given up on the this thread and posting on CC. Nothing since last Saturday, the day of the original post. They didn't get the response they wanted so they are gone.
  9. I've done Alaska three times. Serenade twice and once on Ovation. The first time on Serenade we got way up into Endicott arm and got amazing views of the Glacier and watched calve. The second time was Serenade again. We got up Endicott arm but were fogged in so badly we couldn't see a thing. The third time, on Ovation, we didn't even make the turn to Endicott arm and just headed strait into Juneau. I can't remember the reason why they said this was necessary. But every time in Juneau we have been able to see Glaciers. Ive been to Mendenhall Glacier twice and took a seaplane flight overflew them the other time. No matter what you'll have an opportunity to see glaciers.
  10. Ditto for me on this one. Portside is fine but it is only average by my standards. Playmakers burgers are genuinely very good by any standard. I'd go with Playmakers.
  11. I usually find "my guy" on every cruise. Day 1 and 2 I go to the venues I will likely frequent though out ht cruise and experiment. It doesn't take long to find the guy you want making your drinks. I have run into a few along the way that I wouldn't let pour me a soda let alone mix my favorite drinks. I can't imagine choosing that one to be my go to guy. They don't need me to tell them how to bartend, if they don't know how to do it right I just move along. There are lots of bars and bartenders to go to...
  12. Our last cruise had both Labadee and Coco Cay. Labadee was far and away my favorite experience. We're planning on being back there next year again. It is the highlight of the itinerary for me.
  13. There is guitar entertainment in the pub this week and next week. Just because it is not listed in the app yet does not mean that it won't be available. The entertainment list will continue to change with things added right up until you board the ship. I'd expect a pub entertainer on your cruise. I wouldn't worry to much about it yet.
  14. We'll miss you by one sailing. We are on the Sept 26th sailing. I'll make sure not to break her before you get on. 😉
  15. Oops sorry I meant which sailing for the fall 9 night Canadian... That's the itinerary we are on also. 🙂
  16. They are still being sold with Juneau and the Glaciers included on the itinerary... My guess is an IT screw up
  17. I have always gotten close to the time I wanted with Teppanyaki. Just book as quickly as possible once you are onboard.
  18. Yes, book a suite and have the concierge book your dining time the week before departure. 😉
  19. That was what I thought but wanted to check... We arranged the cabin assignments so that DW and DD would have the double keys should that be the only option. They are far less likely to lose the keys than myself or my son in law. LOL.
  20. We are doing a family cruise that includes myself and my wife along with our daughter, her husband and their three teenage kids. We have three cabins booked. OV Balcony's and an Inside across the hall. We have booked my wife and I in separate cabins to maximize our Diamond balcony discount. I know that Royal and the cabin steward doesn't care who sleeps where and will give us multiple keys for multiple rooms. However, if we go to GS upon boarding, instead of getting multiple keys can they just move my wife out of the cabin she is listed in to my cabin and move my cabin mate to the cabin she is vacating. This way no one has multiple keys and onboard spending is divided into the right family groups.
  21. We were on Serenade in August of 2021. I think we were the 5 or 6th sailing after the restart. We loved it. It is obviously a different experience than the larger ships but it was a very good experience. It would all depend on the itinerary. Ours was Alaska. Our ports of call were fantastic and we loved every minute of the cruise. If it were uninteresting ports of call where I would be more in inclined to stay on the ship like say Nassau, Grand Cayman or Freeport I'd probably give it a pass.
