I've had aft and corner aft cabins on Adventure, Mariner, Navigator and Liberty. When booking those are my go to cabins. I love the corner afts the most!

I have been on deck 10 right under the Windjammer many times on Voyager and Freedom class ships and have never had problem with noise from above.

If we lived in the Bay Area I might too. There are just such crappy flights out Fresno. It American or United. Alaska, my preferred airline on the coast has stopped doing Fresno to LA direct since covid. I will not fly United. Every time I have tried it has been a gong show so that leaves me with American. Driving just as easy. I can do it in 4 1/2 hours and this way my car is waiting for in the parking lot after debarkation. EDIT: Sorry for tangent on your live thread @twangster

Interesting, that didn't work for me on Oasis. I made a $500 room charge on day 2. I was locked out for the remainder of the cruise. I always intended to pull $1000 out but figured I start with $500. I never did get the second $500 out. I tried at various times over the cruise right up until the 6th day. Never tried again and the last day.

One benefit of the onboard charge is that it shows up as a Royal Caribbean purchase so if you are using the Royal Caribbean branded BOA Visa you get double points for it.

Not on slots. I have done it several times on different ships.

One thing to note that I didn't know until my last cruise was that if you are getting cash at a machine through a room charge but then subsequently don't play machines with but instead only play table games you can't go back to the machine for a second round of cash through the machine room charge. I was told by the Casino host that you have to play at least 50% of what you charged to your room before they the system will let you charge any more money. So if your intent is to mostly play table games take out as much as you might think you need for the entire cruise. Otherwise you are at the mercy of the 5% they charge when they charge while sitting at the table.

I've got three NOS booked over the next couple years. Even though I like Oasis and quantum class a little more, I love not having to fly to cruise.

DW loves Virgin Miami Vices... It's kind of a half Pina Colada half strawberry daiquiri, I think. Try everything dispose of what you don't like. What I don't like will be different than what you don't like. You can keep ordering until you find what you love. Yes Yes but not at a Starbucks branded kiosk but all the other coffee places are fine. Yes canned soda is included. Don't forget to try the fresh squeezed OJ in the Windjammer. It is amazing.

I'd change. While you might find the odd vendor who would take GBP or Euro's the majority won't. USD are way easier to deal

Thanks, I'm sure I will. I am the travel planner in our family. I have always been the "control freak" that people refer to themselves as for why they book direct. Discovering a great TA and tapping into group space savings has cured me of my "control freak" issues. More than a control freak, I'm cheap as he🏒🏒 There still lots of stuff to obsess over... flights, pre cruise hotel, drink packages, excursions, shuttles, etc...

I think the last time I got cards at check and not at the door was Mariner 2019. I thought it would be a hassle with ordering drinks etc when you first boarded the ship but it really wasn't .

Just booked another cruise taking advantage of TA group space on WOS. Royal website price for the same thing refundable was $1600 more than what I paid. Plus I got $200 OBC. I'm practically cruising for free 🙂

Sorry to be off topic but great user name... I have family from Ulsteinvik and have visited several times.

They main reason DW and I get voom is so we can communicate with each other when we are separated.

On 21 Alaska cruise on Serenade that was my go to spot for lunch.

If I had a pin I'd wear it everywhere. 🙂
