  1. Celebration - don’t know. Magic in October - unlimited requests.
  2. Perfect place for Lunch upon Embarkation, few people there, you are served, delightful.
  3. You booked a Guarantee Oceanview but were assigned a (Aurea) Balcony, you could have been assigned an Oceanview, getting a Balcony is great, but you do not get the Aurea experience.
  4. 1) if you want to face island when at Ocean Cay pick an Even Numbered Balcony 2) Beverage Packages do cover beverages on private island 3) gratuities are not included in price of cruise
  5. Have sailed on both a couple times and enjoyed both, have Mera booked again for 11 nights in January. On any MSC ship have never sailed Yacht Club, always Interior or Balcony. We prefer the Mera to Seaside, personal preference. Both are beautiful ships and very different. We also like the Divina a lot. And are trying the new Seascape in February.
  6. Sid, post #1865, your goodnight to all of us, your goodbye to all of us, expressed perfectly, it was a great week, you were so generous in sharing your time with us, for all your work, thank you. You said “all of you will have to find something else to occupy your time,” well that will eventually be true but first I’m going to have withdrawal pains from Sid’s Celebration LIVE.
  7. Do the South Dakotans know they are visiting with someone famous!?
  8. Seeing your cruise end is sad for us too, (right up there with the “saddest song in history,” seriously, I often try to avoid that song), anyway love following along, you continue to make it so real, keep me updated on Wanda if you hear anything, next cruise?
  9. Sid, don’t mean to be too nosey, and please ignore if I am, however am thinking you implied it early in your “live,” but what do you mean by “retire a happy man?” Have you chosen to no longer do live reporting during a cruise? Is this good-bye? We are all benefiting but it must be extremely taxing.
  10. Megan as a Platinum cruiser you should have luggage tags delivered to your cabin. (Perhaps you already know this and are simply pointing out where others pick them up.)
  11. No “flubbing” here Sid, you are giving all of us a great time this week, I love Old San Juan, it’s been a few years for us, my hope for you today is that you did indeed “get some real vacation time for yourself in!”
  12. You can “follow” without notifications - it will give you that option - if you click “follow” you will push Sid’s # to 224. (I didn’t know about “following” until Sid suggested it in a Post on SaintGreg’s last cruise.) It doesn’t cost anything, fun thing to do, encourages the Author who takes all of us along with him on his cruise.
  13. A day on board when everyone else is off the ship is a wonderful thing, plus we wouldn’t have the tour, along with the pics you took for us, to enjoy. Thank you.
  14. Seemed like a very long trip for him, from Paradise in Tampa to Splendor in Australia, right!?
  15. Beyond Platinum is Diamond but I do not feel perks are much different than Platinum.
  16. We have done a S2S from MSC to Carnival several years ago. I don’t remember the exact Ports but we were able to walk from MSC to Carnival with our luggage. In February/March we are again doing a S2S between MSC and Carnival. Do not know exactly where Seascape will dock compared to Celebration but if not within walking distance will have a very short Uber ride. It will all work out for you.
  17. I would suggest parking at the cruise port is the safest and most convenient option. It is pricey but many, including ourselves, have had bad experiences using off-site options. There is not an off-site option that is walkable.
  18. Ah good to know, done, never knew about the “button,” and ty to Sid.
  19. I have been following along, but is there something I click on the site to make me an “official follower?”
