  1. No “flubbing” here Sid, you are giving all of us a great time this week, I love Old San Juan, it’s been a few years for us, my hope for you today is that you did indeed “get some real vacation time for yourself in!”
  2. You can “follow” without notifications - it will give you that option - if you click “follow” you will push Sid’s # to 224. (I didn’t know about “following” until Sid suggested it in a Post on SaintGreg’s last cruise.) It doesn’t cost anything, fun thing to do, encourages the Author who takes all of us along with him on his cruise.
  3. A day on board when everyone else is off the ship is a wonderful thing, plus we wouldn’t have the tour, along with the pics you took for us, to enjoy. Thank you.
  4. Seemed like a very long trip for him, from Paradise in Tampa to Splendor in Australia, right!?
  5. Beyond Platinum is Diamond but I do not feel perks are much different than Platinum.
  6. We have done a S2S from MSC to Carnival several years ago. I don’t remember the exact Ports but we were able to walk from MSC to Carnival with our luggage. In February/March we are again doing a S2S between MSC and Carnival. Do not know exactly where Seascape will dock compared to Celebration but if not within walking distance will have a very short Uber ride. It will all work out for you.
  7. I would suggest parking at the cruise port is the safest and most convenient option. It is pricey but many, including ourselves, have had bad experiences using off-site options. There is not an off-site option that is walkable.
  8. Ah good to know, done, never knew about the “button,” and ty to Sid.
  9. I have been following along, but is there something I click on the site to make me an “official follower?”
  10. SG, for all your time and work throughout the cruise and “breaking of the rules” to get us such gorgeous pictures this morning, thank you.
  11. Saint Greg you have mentioned several times how much you “love” your cabin location. Without giving away more than you want to, and maybe I missed it early on, what deck/location on ship is your cabin? I am always looking for a good Interior Cabin location. Enjoying cruising along, making notes for our early March cruise on Celebration.
  12. These “lives” are terribly addicting, now we have Megan and Sid and SaintGreg to keep up with, good thing I am retired.
  13. Next cruise isn’t until January 8 so glad to get one in (with you) in December. Thank you for taking me along. Enjoy.
  14. I would not “join” cabins on web site. Once you board go to dining room (paperwork you receive when you board will tell you which one and time) and someone will be there taking requests and ask to be assigned a table for six. About drink package - lots of threads on this site that give lots of details.
  15. Daily service - if I remember correctly $14 per person per day - one of the least in the industry.
  16. When we cruised Carnival in the Mediterranean we were able to carry on “beverages” at embarkation (there was a liquor store inside the port) and at the ports we visited. We have never cruised Europe on MSC. I am wondering though if Europe is the same, just rambling thoughts - However on the Caribbean side with MSC we have been able to purchase “beverages” at various ports (not allowed to carry on at embarkation) that were never taken from us when we got back onto the ship. Just an FYI.
  17. I have heard they get a few “extra” hours off during one of their days, I must ask sometime, the room stewards we have had have always been excellent and like to visit throughout cruise, I do try and use names when doing a survey.
  18. When i needed to book two cabins I also had to book two separate times. After the fact you can “join” the two bookings. I did my research, figured out what two cabins I wanted, then booked one after the other.
  19. Meraviglia is a beautiful ship. We cruise between MSC and Carnival, both different, enjoy both. Have been on four MSC ships each more than once. Yes, prices right now great. Many have trouble with booking a cruise on-line but i have always done so without any difficulties. Doing a B2B on Mera in January then trying the newest the Seascape in February.
  20. Done, ordered bottle of red and bottle of sparkling and although it seemed to accept my cc I did not get any acknowledgment so I tried ordering another bottle of red and received receipt. Checked cc and both transactions were recorded. Gave it a couple hours and under the appropriate booking I do have two red and one sparkling waiting for me, yeah, success.
  21. I’d better buy mine before it disappears. Usually I book “all in” but didn’t this time so wanted a couple bottles of wine, realize not great wine but that’s ok.
