  1. Yes, but they wouldn't refuse entry to two ships for that - would they? Edit, just googled it, they just might. Spirit of Discovery was denied entry to Gib for the same reason a year ago.
  2. Friend of mine is on Arcadia. They arrrived at Freeport with another ship arriving shortly afterwards. Both ships have been refused entry and are leaving. Will update when I know more.
  3. Can;t answer for Britannia, but Aurora, Arcadia and Azura all have UK plugs, so would assume this does too.
  4. I normally find booze is cheaper in an ordinary supermarket in Spain. Forget the duty free!
  5. Any time we have howling gales in the UK, you can guarantee that the first part of your cruise in the Atlantic will be a bit wild.
  6. even Caribbean recived slippers. I put them in the bin.
  7. Me too, 'cept I put them in the dustbin. Awful things.
  8. Agree with you. We tried Azura when she was about 4 months old. Didnt like anything about her and boy was it crowded on deck. So we knew right away that the bigger ones weren't for us and have stuck to Aurora, Oriana and Adonia, only one of those left!
  9. Avril, you won't find it online. It's not there. my TA changed it, but P&O will if you booked Select?
  10. Avril,, I haven't heard many bad reports on Aurora apart from the food being very samey, so we will go and see for ourselves. One thing I have done is change from Freedom back to 2nd sitting, as there won't be any queues and no need to use a flaming app!
  11. Neil Turnbull actually drove us demented. His jokes were just awful and so samey. The only one who I thought really did make a difference was Captain Box on Artemis, I think, who gave us a potted history whilst going through the Bosphorus into the BlackSea. Really interesting. Apart from him, I'd rather they didn't tell these stupid jokes. Announcements are of course totally different.
  12. That sounds good to me. We are going to try a last minute on Fred. Like the sound of Bolette.
  13. I never understand why anyone is interested in who the Captain is. As long as they know what they are doing, and I presume they all do, what difference do they make?
  14. yes we are the same. Booked on Aurora (moved 3 times) in October 2023, but if we find it really badly changed, we will try one of Fred's new ones, but a last minute. To be honest cruising might have lost its glamour for me.
  15. They never have published them. Only Early AM, or late AM, Early PM, or Late PM etc.
  16. andrew, luckily the food is not what I cruise for. I only ever have a starter and a main, but like you, some nights there would be nothing that I would want. Hey ho. We haven't cruised for 3 years,, so will have to wait and see. Might be trying Fred again the year after.
  17. Yes OK, but there is Sirloin steak and also roast beef! Why not something different?
  18. It just doesn't excite me. There is so much beef! I don't like beef or pheasant. The lemon sole would be OK. Pan fried chicken is fine, it's just boring and it's on every menu?
  19. I have just looked at the first 6 and it's almost the same every day. Pan fried chicken with potato wedges, roast beef, beef sirloin, roast lamb. Oh for a pasta dish or a curry. Ah OK,, there is one pasta dish that I hate and that's gnocchi! And a veg goan curry. Hmmm. I would be hard pushed to choose something I like.
  20. Yes, we are on Aurora Freedom Dining next October, so I hope it;s sorted by then. I did read that you can just turn up for the entertainment now.
  21. I was also wondering this for someone I know who does not have a mobile phone at all!
  22. It was lovely, great food and I can't remember the name either! Was it Sorrento?
  23. No idea. All I know is I was booked on Adonia and she had 18 months at least more cruises booked. Then we were told she was sold. The same on Oriana. we were moved to Aurora.
  24. I am afraid they do just that. They had bookings for Adonia and Oriana for at least 18 months after they sold her.
