  1. Agree! In 12 years, none of our group have ever had norovirus either.
  2. We always use the buffet. Never had a problem in 12 years.
  3. I would guess that Cat B is States and Caribbean, World Cruises and over 16 days.
  4. Possibly, but I don't find them very good. You are better off doing your own research before you go. We do all ports DIY and I have most things sorted before we cruise.
  5. I don't see what the problem with OBC is. P&O give you some money to spend on board. After that you get discount - what's the problem with that?
  6. It has always been that way as long as I have been with P&O. Over 12 years.
  7. Basicaly, have you had a cough, diahorrea etc. etc. in the last 10 days. Answer No to everything otherwise they will cancel your cruise.
  8. Didn't know that, but yes interesting. Found this Therefore, Avanti and Staysure are part of the TICORP Ltd trading group however both operate as standalone businesses.
  9. Avanti was the only one (also Free Spirit) who gave a reasonable price for 2 of us 84 and 75 with pre-existing conditions. I did a quote through Money Supermarket and it was £3106!! LOL Avanti quoted £604. Staysure quote £804 and £1100.
  10. I prefer a forward cabin, much better than the stern.
  11. I doubt anybody could claim on their insurance. You're not ill, so how could you. This is unbelievable.
  12. They will always send a renewal quote. After that, go to a comparison site for the best deal.
  13. Yes because the TA discount is usually given AFTER you have booked. They quote the same price as P&O, and the discount comes off later. That's what ours does.
  14. go through a good cruise Travel Agent. Much easier. They have access to all the cabins and they also usually give an extra discount.
  15. some very cheap offers, but I note no arcadia or Aurora. My October 2023 Aurora cruise is sold out.
  16. Enjoyed your blog. Think that ship might definitely be for us. I lived in Canada for 2 years. Marvellous country and so unlike the USA, (luckily)
  17. We have always used the buffet, never had norovirus in 12 years of cruising. Maybe some folk are more susceptible than others?
  18. I would doubt they will bring that back. Canapes and free drinks. Don't think so - Not any more.
  19. That's why it's called On Board credit - you can only use it on board. We never book excursions, can usually book them once on board and you can also usually do much better DIY.
  20. Just asking, but why does it matter when your cabin is serviced? Obviously with, say, 18-22 cabins, one has always got to first and one last.
  21. Excellent, I shall look forward to hearing how you find them.
  22. Hi Andrew - good to hear. I will pass it on to our singing friend! She was the one who had the problem on Marco Polo. Maybe she was unlucky. for us, I feel Tilbury is too far to go, but they have the odd cruise out of Falmouth which might interest us. Tilbury would be good for Shirley.
