in Juneau both Ovation and Quantum get the prime spot in town. Radiance and Serenade would if no if no other big ship was in port. For Icy point, RCI has a great spot and is closer than NCL but for Ketchikan yes RCI will dock out of town and also for Sitka as well. Skagway is hit or miss but I assume they are not tendering in from the back dock which in a way is good as the tender will get you in to the town.

Reserved my time dining for solos
Oceansaway17 replied to latebuyer's topic in Royal Caribbean International
exactly and that is why I just do the buffet or speciality. Now a days MTD does not even start until 6:45 which a lot of folks are complaining about. -
Regarding Northstart, when did you make the reservation for the longer ride? was it immediately when you go on board? Also how are they handling the free rides in port? Are they doing reservations each morning on the app making for early morning mad dash to the app? And lastly what is the number of people they are allowing in Northstar? Last fall on Anthem I never got on the paid ride due to bad weather every other day as well as maintenance. And of course, the free rides were magically gone by mid morning. Have a nice trip. I will be on in two weeks. I did the Ovation and got on Northstar many times in 2019

Hi I always make sure I check to see what photos you post on food. Both of the above appeal to me but I have to say the 2nd photo is some major stuffing of a shell. And yes the weather here in southeastern PA is also nice just wish for a little more rain. toodles. Bet you are enjoying your photos from your recent trip- 96 replies

so after chuckling over the name of the bay I can also so it is a pretty photo. Fall can be humid and hot as well. I think Late October is when I start to smile knowing a few weeks of lawn mowing and then I will be done- 96 replies

Not sure how young the baby is, but just try not to go anywhere with really loud noises. I would not do the Skagway train for this reason because it does some rocking. would be best to save for a return trip with the child is 5 or older. Otherwise, pick nice walks that will make you happy as well and do some good shopping. For Juneau I think going out to Mendenhall which has nice trails and visitor center would be one tour you could take.

Arrivecan and Charlottetown PEI
Oceansaway17 replied to happytotravel's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
yes glad you got it resolved. I am going to Canada on both coasts, but for NE I am glad I only have to fill out for the first port. I for some reason thought it had to be for each port in Canada. someone nicely hinted the word ARRIVE means just that. Where one arrives first in the country not each stop. Have a nice trip -
I was docked next to the ship 5 years ago and when I got home, I switched to the Vista and was very glad I did. It did not appeal to me looking down at pool deck and just overall appearance. For CCL, I will only sail newer ships.

Maximum age on shore excursions? WHAT?
Oceansaway17 replied to ddled's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I can honestly say I have seen very few age restriction tours. I think it has to do with insurance but then again some tours require you to sign a waiver. I mean age discrimination comes into play and perhaps it is coming from the tour guides in various ports. -
looking at deck plan I would say pick front of ship more than the back. In the back is Seaplex. And also if you pick a balcony, you might hear voices from the walking and jogging track on deck 14.

Why testing in Greece?
Oceansaway17 replied to tlguinn_2000's topic in Royal Caribbean International
yes I agree. Everyday I wake up and wonder what new announcements will be made about Canada and Bermuda. The most interesting news this week is that Disney now allows kids under 11 to NOT be vaccinated. Otherwise testing still required. Hmmm me thinks it is best to drop testing and NOT drop any vaccine requirements. oh well
