Yes but at least some 7 day cruises have them in Alaska. I think on sea days if not in warmer climates, having lots of lectures and trivia allow for stimulation to the mind and learning. And I bet a lot of folks would love more but they have to pay the folks who come on board unless the cruise staff puts these together.

I like 12 - 15 day cruises the best. Often for me it is hard to be away three weeks.

Which is why it was a good idea to do B2B. you got to have good weather for that port once. Enjoy 3rd cruise to NE. Do you need to test again? I suppose you have to do ArriveCAN again if doing Canada on 3rd trip

Hmmm while so do not have a so called favorite, I often think fondly of the ship that started the naming …..of the seas and that is good old Sovereign. She was something when she debuted. otherwise my first trip on Allure in 2011 and then the great 2019 first Alaska cruise on Ovation. And Anthem in Spring of 2016 with dynamic dining and free over the sides northstar.

I agree. folks wear their favorite team shirts and also logos of their college. I mean what we choose to wear should makes each of us happy

Most ships offer one show with 3-4 shows a week. But on Oasis class they have a 2nd short show that is more free style. as far as free skate for passengers I have only seen it on schedule one or two times and for just few hours

I do the lunch and it much cheaper and very good. just go to windjammer for light bite around 7pm

that's fine I suppose, just I know that on the last 4 RCI cruises each day the Windjammer got busier and busier at night. A lot of folks did not the noise level or the cold air conditioning.

should be interesting to see which Oasis class ship goes to Europe. This year is Wonder and in 2023 is Symphony.

hmmm does not sound like Bermuda is going to end the $40 charge and other procedures any times soon. Oh well glad I have been to Bermuda twice and no need to go back anytime soon. Lots of other places. But I do know about Europe having travel visas starting next year.

I have given up on MTD since it starts are 6:45. I just do specialty and Windjammer. Besides more and more the main dining rooms are chilly and noisy and the food is meh at best with portion sizes and temperature. I no longer enjoy what seems like banquet food.

hmm well good luck. I do not think Zuiderdam would be enjoyable for your family and I wasy just offering additional advice.

If you can sail on the new ships like Statendam or Rotterdam those ships would have the nicer musical venues. But given you kids age, Think about the new Disney Wish with interesting venues and their great island called Castaway Cay. Othewise, consider sailing out of Port Canaveral on the new Wonder of the Seas. Lot of places to eat and the 82 year old in your family would enjoy the Boardwalk and Central Park area.

If you ever get to go back, make sure you visit inside the museum as it was fascinating. I understand your tour did not include inside which is a shame even for just an hour.

well hoping you have a good 2nd week. I am sailing on NCL Prima next year that starts in Reykjavik so I will fly in 2 days early. In fact, exactly a year from now I will be on that ship that goes 1 way to UK via Norway and Amsterdam. oh and congrats on your thread count for viewers to this post. that is nice to hear. I remember when most cruiselines would have free movies in the room until a bean counter decided they want folks out drinking and shopping and gambling. Nice to see hammocks on just like the AIDA ships have them.

Yes El Loco Fresh is one of the best new things on Oasis and needs to spread to more ships. The quality is good for being self serve. I loved it a lot .

I too am sorry to hear how you were treated. One thing that bugs me about RCI is that they are so very quick to shut things down. They do the same thing with buffet area and it feels like we passengers are at times in their way. I was on NCL Breakaway and most mornings the breakfast was supposed to end at 11am, but most mornings at least half of the buffet was still serving food even at 11:20 as a lot of folks would show up at 11am. NCL never made anyone feel like they had to hurry and they were nice to late eaters. Give NCL a try as their DESSERTS are better than RCI.

aw well it gives me hope as I have to photo of ship name on Ovation and Anthem from the Northstar when it was up. I want the photo for Quantum as well. sounds like things have gotten better regarding Northstar as for Anthem last fall was a lot of cancels and other issues. thanks for the reply.
