  1. That would be fun. When we were there last, they had the World Series starting the evening we left port. San Francisco really pulled out the stops and moved the street people out, steam cleaned the sidewalks and the area was pristine. We live about 30 miles South of SF and on one day of the overnight went hope and changed out some of our clothing. It's fun to explore your own home and act like a tourist.
  2. I've had that before in Blu and really enjoyed it.
  3. Not really - on the Social Network site Host Andy (who use to be the moderator of the Celebrity thread here) has posted MDR menus and will be boarding today so may be posting menus and food pictures.
  4. Have not done Le Voyage yet but in May on a B3B visited Eden 4 times. I've ended up trying almost everything on the Menu. Love the experience. The Nova Scotia Live Lobster is by far my favorite Entre. For Appetizers you cant go wrong with the Crab Cakes but the Alfosino Ceviche is incredible sensory treat. For desert the Lemon Meyer Tart --- incredible.
  5. Your Right.... I do indeed get the ships mixed up at times.
  6. Yes. Most ships restrict that they will only cash out your Refundable OBC the day before the end of the cruise. Just go to the front desk and they will cash it out. I have however been able to on a couple cruises.
  7. My experience has been that the menus are hit and miss until about a week prior to or until the day of cruise. Having said that the work around to check out the offering is to go the app and click the head icon then choose - Select a Different Sailing - Go all the way to the end and choose a ship and select a current sailing. The menus are the same fleet wide but the rotation order may change at the discretion of the Captain and Restaurant Manager.
  8. Even without the full Retreat Sun Deck - we very much enjoyed Equinox. The staff was incredible. While they do not have a Plunge Pool or Hot Tub - They do provide drink service (prepared in a back room) and offer snacks and lunch. The Retreat Sundeck crew were always available and attentive. The original Michael's club is still in place with original decor. They do not have a hot/cold table to serve breakfast and evening snacks. In lieu of this they have a couple attendants who take your order and deliver to you at your table. Service was always fast and attentive. The menu includes everything that was on the hot/cold tables of other Retreat Clubs. There is a bar with I believe 4 high chairs or they also serve those choosing to sit at tables or chairs. They also have a Retreat (Michael's Club) Host who will take care of all of your inquiries and needs. While it it is dark and old club look the seating in much more comfortable and usable than the "Kelley Hoppen" disaster.
  9. August 2024. It usually opens exactly at 45 days prior to the cruise at midnight cruise departure port.
  10. We heard back - Sorry - Celebrity is not one of the cruise lines that we are matching status with. Hmm... Why didn't they state that before requiring us sending them proof of status etc.
  11. Thanks for the wonderful live post. Really enjoyed..... especially the pictures and the ending video.
  12. I believe that the difference is that HAL has stops at cities that would be classified as a distant foreign port. In the case of Celebrity from San Diego to Hawaii the only non-us port was less than 100 miles away. Celebrity also has the Mexican Rivera out of San Pedro so I guess San Diego would also qualify. Celebrity has sailed San Diego for a California Coastal and I guess Ensanada qualified as they had a leg from San Francisco to Ensanada. Like many others - I would love to see some sailings and a ship in San Diego or any place on the California Coast.
  13. You forgot to ask for an extra scoop of Mashed Potatoes. 🙂 Last time I did, they brought me a whole bowl. LOL
  14. Depends on the cruise. The preferred terminal is Pier 27 James R Herman Terminal but if two ship are in port Celebrity my get Pier 26 next door. We did a B2B last year and were at Pier 27 on the first cruise but had to use Pier 26 on the second as Princess was in port on the same day. There is also another 35S that is also utilized All of the piers are all within a 1/4 mile of each other on the Embacadaro - very walk able to all the tourist places in Fisherman's Wharf.
  15. My experience has been that if you put your phone on Airplane Mode and enable WiFi calling my iPhone both receives calls and I can make calls using the Premium Wifi. I have also used a couple 3rd party apps that enable Wifi Calling. I've also used Zoom and Facetime. It is important unless you have a separate plan via you carrier to use Telephone at sea that you make sure your phone is in airplane mode or you may come home to a big surprise on your next pone bill.
  16. Hawaii may not be an option for San Diego. We had a San Diego to Hawaii cruise about 4 years ago. Due to a crack down on the Cabotage Act, Celebrity came into San Diego and dropped passengers. The then sailed empty to Ensanada and all passengers were bussed to Ensanada. I notice a number of cruises are doing Hawaii out of San Diego but they are longer cruises returning to San Diego. They probably qualify as Ensanada would qualify as a distant foreign port on return to San Diego from Hawaii. I will just say it was the worst experience of my life. The busses were stuck at the board for 5-10 hours. We checked in at San Diego at 11:00 AM and did not get aboard until 9:00 PM.
  17. I've been notified of an upgrade anywhere from 48 hours prior to departure up to 3 weeks prior to departure. The norm seems to be 5-7 days prior to departure. The times I've been upgraded 3 weeks prior their was a large number of unsold cabins in the classification.
  18. I would start by checking with you carrier and see what they have to offer and pricing. I have T-Mobile and they have Free International roaming in 199 countries around the world. I understand both Verizon and ATT offer data plans for a fee. I find it rally helps especially when vacationing and using my phone for mapping and directions. Depending on you data and phone needs you may be able to get by using free internet at places like your hotel, Starbucks and McDonalds. This link will identify free hotspot locations in Barcelona. https://barcelonalowdown.com/free-wifi-barcelona/
  19. May be that you don't have the latest version. I have iPhone IOS 16.6 and updated - current version as of 10 minutes ago is 1.44.0 It flashes on the bottom of the first page so quickly I can't even get a screen shot of it. It then shifts to the regular screen.
  20. No problem getting a price match. I do it often on a NR fare.
  21. My experience has been I receive the rejection letters 48 hours before departure time.
  22. By doing so you probably forfeited the $200 to $400 FCC they were offering. I'm trying to figure out what we will be doing before the cancellation date.
  23. Received official cancellation of the TA from Lisbon to Buenos Aires. Now I'm stuck with the first 1/2 of a B2B the week before the Cancelled November 21 cruise. Will be working to see what we can do with the reservation to minimize the cancellation fees. Needless to say we are very disappointed. 24. I don't believe it has been pulled. I have a reservation on the Nov 21 Equinox - Lisbon to Buenos Aires. Wondering if the are considering another swapping of ships. I'm currently unable to find my cruise for 11/21 but the previous one in the med is showing All the cruises below are currently missing from Celebrity Website
