  1. From personal experience, since I checked in last evening - Yes. I live in California and was able to be able to select my arrival chek-in time at 9:00:15 PM Pacific (Just after midnight Eastern). I went back in today and completed the Check-In scanning Passports and entering Credit Card Details.
  2. I can understand the concern. Last time we arrived in the U.K. the agent asked if I were traveling with anyone and I responded yes... my husband. He then said where is he? I simply replied he went through the UK lane and left me to wait in this long ALL OTHER. He chuckled and said welcome to the UK. Iain travels with both his EU (pre-Brexit) and U.S. Passport and just uses the EU one in Europe and U.S. one when entering the U.S.
  3. If you have a booking directly with Celebrity you should be able to cancel on-line, unless they have changed. If I recall you can select the cruise and then go to change and I believe there use to be an option to change. If not call in and wait 30 minutes. If you booked with a Travel Agent they you will have to call them to cancel.
  4. ON the website you can go to Plan My cruise and select any category e.g. drinks and it will show in top right corner next to you your initials. Under your initials you can also choose view purchase history. Refundable OBC will not show until on the ship.
  5. The slider bar gives you the option to fine tune the amount you may wish to bid on each category. The reason someone may bid for each will depend on what the bidder considers value. Bidding on multiple categories gives you a better opportunity to win one of the categories. For example you may bid the same amount for a SS as a Aqua but the odds winning the SS are probably thinner. If you would be comfortable with the price you could bid the same for both or increase the bid for the SS as you see more value to it.
  6. It is the same. They $100 pp fee was always applied to both cancellations as well as changes to the reservation. At least I was charged that for a change I made. When I changed they just applied the remainder of the deposit and I had to again pay an additional $100 pp
  7. It might be important for those booking that starting tomorrow and the the Non-Refundable terms have changed to NO FCC for a cancelled cruise. Evidently if you change ships or date you will only be penalized $100 per person but if you cancel you loose the complete deposit .
  8. Will be interesting to see if they are now using a different Room Service Menu for CS and above. I'll let you know 45 days from now. Yea. Check-In opened this morning.
  9. I definitely don't have any insider information I could hazard a guess. 1. The farther out the more people book to hold the cabin and then closer to sailing cancel or move the reservation. I know this is true of our April 22, Apex TA. For a long time it was totally sold out but the closer to final payment cabins started opening up. I haven't counted but lots of cabins are now available. 2. With the new ships, Celebrity has more E-Class ships than ever before, which might equate to more inventory.
  10. Before disparaging the OP it would be helpful to check out Apex menus on sailings more than two weeks in the future. I checked all my cruises April 15, 22 and May 14. On all these cruises for all main restaurants all that is currently posting are Kid's Menus and Vegiterian
  11. I know that they have had Heineken Draft in Luminae. I asked the bartender about it and he indicated it was a small 5 L draft canned beer with carbonation.
  12. If you look at your booking on line it will let you know when it will open for CheckIn The App will also show the checkin date. My April 15 opens for CheckIn tomorrow - Exactly 45 days out. I have seen it open a day or two earlier and a couple days later.
  13. I've always had a Premium Package. I believe you pay the full amount like bottled water. All are under the $ limits of the Classic Package but just not covered. I hope others with experience can let us all know how they handle the cost. Personally I don't care for them but others say they have them put ice in the mixer to make it more like a Iced Smoothies If you are Elite or above they also had a couple different smoothies that are included in the Free Continental Breakfast.
  14. No. The menus are usually not finalized until about 7 days to 10 days prior to your sailing. They will be updated at least by the time you set sail. Often if you select a current cruise you can get a preview of the menus.
  15. Jeannette - Enjoy reading your Live post. I was catching up and you had my adrenaline running as I read of you new adventures of driving to Detroit. Was so happy to see your posts of arrival into Florida and the pictures of your hotel room.
  16. Interesting to read your opinions. We are long term Celebrity Cruiser and will be trying Ponant for the first time on a "teaser" cruise in September. Many of the things @Host Jazzbeau brought up are the reason to test the waters and see if Ponant is for us. I'm sure the Great Lakes cruise will not be the "full" experience of some of the expedition cruises but should help us determine if it is a fit. We have really good friends who only sail Poanant and have been urging us to try them.
  17. Charla - curious about the room service menu. The menu for a Sky Suite should be the same for the CS, RS and PS. Is there anything on the back side. The one I posted yesterday on a different thread had the same items as yours but listed the others on the back side. Regardless - If you want any of those items, just write on the menu. I always write in a Cappuccino The additional items are showing on the other suites menus on different ships but for some reason the Room Service Menu not working for Apex.
  18. Millennium was also the first ship we ever sailed back in 2001 and still have a fondness for her. I really miss the Olympic. Remember the Cheese Cart?
  19. 60 vs 50 cycles won't affect at all --- it's the voltage that's important. I use the 220 plugs all the time with everything from my laptop to USB charging blocks. Most dual power devices about everything manufactured in the past 10 years play nicely.
  20. I would be surprised if it were not dual voltage. Look on the side or cord and you should see the input voltage - if it says 100-240V then it is dual voltage. If it is only 100-120 DO NOT plug it into the 220V adapter you will fry it. Since there are 110V US plugs you should use that instead
  21. In most e-mail clients you can white list Celebrity.com to prevent them going to Spam.
  22. I've been on a number of cruises and always get the Survey right about the time they Zero out the ship (about 9:30 on turn around day). Would check your profile to make sure you have the correct email address. Also check to make sure you have opted in for marketing promotions. Finally check you Spam folder as mine sometimes get filtered out.
  23. Not unusual for some of the more exotic cruises. As you indicated many TA get block allocations to sell as groups but at some point the unsold cabins come back into inventory. Couple strategies. Have either Celebrity our your TA wait list you for you cabin of choice. Check daily- To make easy I do a search and go to the page that you choose the cabin type - then bookmark. Saves lots of time. Example: https://www.celebritycruises.com/booking-cruise/selectRoom/stateroomCategory?pID=EG12K163&sDT=2023-12-09&sCD=EG&sCT=CO&roomQuantity=1
  24. Not always the voice of reason. Haaahaaahaaa. After teaching that University Course on Addictive Behavior for 5 years I finally thought I would try what I taught and stop smoking. Of course I chose to stop caffeine on the same day. There is a very easy way to stop - Don't have the first. Happy to say I never had the First for the past 34 years. I am however still addicted to Caffeine
