Cruise only vs All Included - what's the deal
Jim_Iain replied to newtocruiseinblue's topic in Celebrity Cruises
The regular price onboard is 34.99 Premium and 19.99 Basic. They are currently on sale for 15% off pre cruise and if you have a higher status on CC+ you might be eligible for 25% discount by calling in. One onboard they do not usually discount. One thing you may be missing in the all included is the inclusion of Gratuities ($17-18 per day) -
OK - Charla time to sail with you and Jeremy - We can all jump on Iain who still smokes. I'm an Ex smoker of 40 years and know how hard but how easy it is to stop. I quite while teaching a College course on Understanding Addictive Behavior. One day I had a revelation. hmmmm.. Why don't I try what I teach. Very easy first step - Don't have the First XXX whatever the addiction. Meaning to never have the first regardless of how long off the substance or activity the first sets off a chain reaction.

X Itinerary departing from European port
Jim_Iain replied to Mark.Jules's topic in Celebrity Cruises
The cruise, food and entertainment will b basically identical. You may notice depending on which port the ship is based that the customer mix will be much lower on American passenger count and higher on other countries. You may notice a small shift higher on the dress code especially on Chic nights. You may also notice many more people more slender waistlines - Especially in Scandinavia and the Med. The real positive you will broaden your ability to meet other's from different countries and when talking understanding a different perspective -
Royal Suite/Penthouse - Help with Shoreside Requests
Jim_Iain replied to SeeFoodEatIt's topic in Celebrity Cruises
To be honest don't waste your time. 80% of my requests never arrive. Just as easy to tell Butler, Stateroom Attendant and Retreat host what you need. Usually I request 2 Isotonic Pillows Swap Champagne to Chardonay Select 2 bottels of Gray Goose and Bud for Bar Setup Tonic and Club Soda Extension Cord Dinner reservations at Murano -
There was a great thread recently on this subject. You will find a good discussion here.

I may be the contrarian but honestly believe RCL will continue the Revolution within the foreseeable future. The gating factor is them returning to profitability and retiring some of their massive debt. Contrary to the report above Infinity has a 11 night cruise on Jan 2, 2024

Check the app all hours are shown 6 PM - 9:30PM Dinner 10PM to 1AM - Late Night

I assume you mean a Massage Cancellation.😁 There was a thread of this December 2021 - My experience has been at least 24 hours in advance but have been flexible

Different They ships have to go through a periodic maintance dry dock mostly for the Azipods to be refurbished, hulls scraped and repainted etc. Usually they also use this period to refurbish some of the interior soft goods, remediate rust and paint the ship. If I recall the Maintenance Refurbish is 1 week to 10 days while the revolution was in the range of a month. Reflection was in Marseille Dry dock on October 22 - which is when she got her current Blue Hull paint job.

Really look forward to you Live Post. Really want to learn more about Azamara.
-
Funny... just checking the April 15 cruise and they are showing only Vegetarian and Children's menus - the others have disappeared.
-
Really confused by the above. I've never sailed Azamara and just out of curiosity I checked my Azamara Account and it's show my Tier as Discoverer Platinum and shows my 5,000+ points. Since it is after Feb 1, 2023 I thought it would have disappeared. Will all that disappear when they bring their new website live? Was considering Azamara but if we have no status will probably go with Silverseas all other factors and itineraries equal.

Watching March Madness while onboard
Jim_Iain replied to curse reversed's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I'll have to check it out . Never heard of the Nvidia Shield, which surprises me as their headquarters is just down the street. It looks expensive compared to the other streaming devices but looks like it is also used for gaming. Will be interesting to hear how it works. -
50th and 10th anniversaries. How can we let Celebrity know?
Jim_Iain replied to Oskial's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Agree with others. Let the Maitr 'd know and you will probably get a Cake and waiters singing. To make the anniversaries special I would recommend Specialty Dining - especially in Murano. Let them know also in advance and you will get a cake. -
She is in beautiful condition. We were on her for a B3B in September. Great crew.
-
Yes you are permitted to bring reasonable amounts and could also top up in port.
-
You can ask your stateroom attendant to empty for you. You would then have to stock it yourself by picking up drinks at the bars. There is no fee to empty it.
-
They can only assist with unfreezing your bid. They have no control over what room or deck you will be assigned.

All I can say is check out Flights by Celebrity and see what's on offer. Lately I've not had any luck with Celebrity as their rates on my itineraries are all showing same price than airlines. Celebrity has been offering only full refundable fares and often you can do better with a non-refundable fare. The only real advantage is that you don't have to pay until final payment date and can change or cancel with no penalty up to that point. After final payment even with a refundable fare FBC charges $100 administrative fee to make changes or cancel.

She is scheduled to set sail at 16:00. This could be delayed by ship traffic or last minute loading.
