Kent, What are some of the differences for Mars, Neptune and Saturn. Have not been on any of those. Will be on Neptune in May. Do you have anything booked yet on the very new Vela?

A World Cruise brochure was delivered in the past couple of weeks and there was a quick Q&A by "Bruce" who was also one of the CD's while we were aboard the Jupiter in 2022( we had 3 during the 8 weeks)! Will there be 2 WC's this winter. This is definitely a thread drift but I am wondering what Viking will do about transiting the red sea?

We are going late June so hopefully the ice you encountered will be gone in Greenland. We booked when we received the first promotion letter for FV23. Decided it was good enough not to wait until we are on Octantis in January.

Is the CD "Aveen" spelled with an "S"? She was on the Jupiter with us 2 years ago as the assistant CD ( Kent do you remember her from there?) She and Katy from Scotland were an amazing duo! Does she still have a VERY TALL boyfriend who I think now works in IT? I hope she still does a really sweet show about meeting him! Who will be the General Manager for the WC? Those of you starting the WC....how awesome to start from Lisbon you really will have done an extraordinary cruise. The BEST cruise ever!!!

Jim....plus SSP won't be available on Land Portion :)! I am so concerned about moving 900 passengers on/off ships and onto planes going to same place UNLESS they are chartering planes. Unlike our Inaugural World Cruise I think Pat and I will wait and see how they will handle the logistics. My mandarin is not good! Maybe the River Cruise will be started again too.

Kent, That eases my fears. Looking forward to our British Isle Cruise but with only one sea day meals become less important for some reason! You have passed us in number of cruises!!! 6 Rivers....( I am counting European Sojourn and France's Finest as two each since they can be booked individually) 7 Oceans plus the world cruise ( not sure what to count that) Maybe I should count nights aboard a Viking vessel :)! Enjoy the rest of this cruise.

watched the video this morning too. I thought when the Sun went to China much of the interior had been changed...I guess I had misinformation. This 20 day tour looks great...our Yangze River Cruise was a victim of Covid and I want to see the Terracotta Warriors

they are very different cruising experiences.

in our recent experience you can NOT book a future cruise while on a River ship but they were offering vouchers...$1oo and get $200...but can only be used 1 per person per NEW cruise booking. But you can buy I think 10 and they can be gifted. BUT rules and offerings change

There were very few wines on the European Sojourn and Douro ( we cruised 2023 fall) that we could not order by the glass with our ss package ( even if was not listed by the glass). those we could not had an asterisk next to it. When we asked we received great help with wine selections.

how expensive are the excursions on Oceania or do most folks book independent tours? some of Viking's included tours have been great...especially if they are WALKING!

If you are doing a pre/post to Iguassu Falls I have been warned there a loads of mosquitoes there!
