  1. Opinions of a handful of internet posters popping up doesn’t mean anything has changed. If you’re uncomfortable going there, I’m not here to convince you otherwise. I personally wouldn’t change my opinion based on this thread though.
  2. How so? Labadee is still in the same place it always has been… nowhere near any of the issues. Nothing has changed.
  3. 1. Your "assigned dining" will not be CK. You will be assigned an MDR table like everyone else. You have to make CK reservations if you want to eat dinner there (this can be done pre-cruise via e-mail with the suite concierges for as many or as few nights as you like). 2. We were able to order certain items from the MDR in CK on Wonder last month but this varies. You can ask and your request may or may not be granted. 3. They have filet mignon in CK on night one and I strongly suggest ordering that over any cut of meat you will find in the MDR. I'm not even a huge filet fan (I prefer a fattier cut like a ribeye) but the CK filet is excellent and the MDR is well... not great, IMO.
  4. Not being argumentative, but I wouldn't do this. We spent 10 days on land before a 7 night cruise southbound in 2018 and the land portion contained even more highlights than the cruise portion. I'd enjoy any cruise anywhere but I personally wouldn't go all the way to Alaska without spending some time on land. To the OP, enjoy Greenland... "idiot." 😁
  5. The app is correct. Only a couple items have an upcharge now. Sadly, during our 11 nights on Indy between last July and October, every item had an upcharge. My only complaint about Indy at the time was wishing there was one more included venue besides the standard ones... apparently I wasn't the only one and even RC agreed.
  6. Yes, go to CK when you board and ask for whatever dinner reservations you would like. Depending on availability, they will handle it.
  7. I wouldn't even know what "real" moonshine tastes like. That blackberry lemonade was just as I expected, a fruity lemonade that happened to have some alcohol in it. It went well with brunch, didn't have much of an alcohol taste to it, and not like I was trying to get drunk... just wash down the insane amount of food I was eating, lol. I thought the peanut butter flavor and whatever else was in the drink I tried would help mask the whiskey-taste... but it didn't for this non-whiskey drinker. No big deal, that's what vouchers are for. I'll always try new things once. Love your education on true southern food, btw. I grew up in the Philly 'burbs and skipped the actual south on my way to moving here. Central Florida is just a weird place full of transplants that happens to be geographically south but is, of course, by no means "southern."
  8. Yeah, I get it. We seemed to rarely get the elevators that went up to 17/18. Fortunately (or unfortunately) for us, being in a suite is a rare occurrence and we'll be back with the common folk for the 4 future Wonder cruises we have booked. Like most things cruise-related, everyone has their own preferences and opinions. I don't expect everyone to love Wonder just b/c I did.
  9. I think all 10 of our days on land were long, lol, but that was by design. It was a very special trip for us and we didn't know if we would ever be back.
  10. This sounds like us. Before vouchers, we would go to the DL happy hour every night. On more than one occasion we met Pinnacles there who were easily twice our age at the time and, safe to say, magnitudes wealthier... but were so down to earth and nice that we had lengthy chats. I prefer the vouchers but I do miss that aspect (and I'm actually pretty introverted IRL). I'll never forget meeting an older Pinnacle couple just after we turned D and weren't really avid cruisers yet (my wife had points from sailing as a kid). We were fascinated by how they spent months and months per year cruising (I totally understand now of course). They weren't there for anything lavish like Sky or Star class. They told us they just enjoyed having french toast in the MDR most mornings and spent a lot of time relaxing on their balcony just watching the ocean go by. It really helped me understand how there are so many different ways one can enjoy cruising... and that's why I tell non-cruisers they should try it.
  11. It's worth checking out the bar if you don't want to eat there. Even if you're not a country music fan (which I'm not), they play other stuff (especially upon request), they talk to the crowd... and of course you can try a drink(s) with vouchers.
  12. As you could have guessed, it's not actually real moonshine. It's a brand of flavored alcohol you can find in the US to purchase. I forget the company but they make a few different flavored "moonshines." Not a strong drink but I thought it went well with brunch at 11am... although I wouldn't hesitate to order it at other times. I know it's very popular and I tried another peanut butter drink there with some sort of banana liquor and peanut butter whiskey... I'm just not a whiskey/bourbon drinker and I couldn't get past that. There was an adult root beer float with root beer, absolut vanilla, kahlua, and of course ice cream that I tried one night and liked.
  13. I can see American Southern food not doing well in Europe. We absolutely love it. Bar area is a big hit everywhere though, it seems.
  14. Blackberry Moonshine Lemonade. It was very good. 😋
  15. I was waiting for a comment about room service trays or random plates in the hallways. 🙈 We often have a small stack of plates & cups piled neatly for our cabin steward to remove. Hard for me not to grab a little something on the way back to the cabin.
  16. No idea about cruisewatch but cabins open up all the time for one reason or another. Just keep checking.
  17. We did the same exact thing & loved it!
  18. Book independently. Dog sledding was one of many highlights during our 18 day trip in 2018. Long review in my signature if interested.
  19. I feel like the midnight buffet disappeared forever ago. Cafe Promenade is still open 24/7 and Sorrento's until 3am on Oasis class. I miss the novelty of the midnight buffet and it would be nice if WJ was open a bit later but there's still food to eat.
  20. Maybe it's a terminal 1 thing. Wonder has even begun boarding well before 10:30am for the past couple months.
  21. I shouldn't be surprised but just noticed that the "full price" for Mason Jar brunch on Wonder just increased from $24.99 to $34.99 so the standard 10% off pre-cruise price jumped from $21.99 to $30.99. 😭 At least I had it booked already for my next Wonder cruise but not the 2 after that. It's a sad day for us Mason Jar brunch fans.
  22. Interesting. Other than noticing the random artwork in the hallways that can be interesting, I'm not sure I've ever spent a minute thinking about hallways. Thanks for the explanation.
