  1. For us it's "S" class. We've been in a suite on the Apex, room was nice, Luminae not nearly as good as on "S" class. Retreat lounge also not as warm & inviting as "S" class and "E" understaffed, the poor bartender was the sole person there trying to serve the entire room. We like the Ensemble lounge on "S" class. Did not like the Martini bar area on "E" class at all. Very loud, harder to access, and the live music when it was there was poor. The DJ the rest of the time was incredibly loud. We liked Eden, we really like the Rooftop grill, better than Lawn Club Grill on "S" class. We are sailing on Apex again, but suspect IF we can afford another on X cruise it will be on "S" class.
  2. This video appears to indicate that the sofa faces backward, or one section of it does. Look at the video and then look at a deck plan. That's why I think the sofa faces aft. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/slideshow-cabin.php?ship=Celebrity-Equinox&cabin=1615
  3. We were very lucky when we did the Harmony TA in October 2021. There were only 1200 people on the ship, so no crowds anywhere. Suites were full but not much else through the rest of the ship. Entertainment was very good. Otherwise, yes, I agree 6000 people not fun for us either.
  4. True but also a GS is a far better stateroom than an SS...at least on those 2 classes which are the ones we've done over the last 14 months.
  5. Pretty sure it's 5 drinks a day now, also get a bottle of wine at embarkation. We've sailed twice with Royal since fall 2021, both TA's and we had a great time on both. We don't generally like the huge ships, but they do have more live entertainment, which we appreciate. Their Grand Suite is a very nice accommodation and usually at a reasonable price. Gets you into the suite lounge and Coastal Kitchen, which while not Luminae, still a big step up from the MDR.
  6. WOW... I hadn't looked at that....crazy. You got a great price on the Aqua suite, enjoy!!!
  7. We like all those things too, and we prefer the Celebrity Suite over all other suites, but they are getting very expensive, at least on the routes we are interested in, and sure would not pay $16K plus for a Sky suite. So, we can only watch and wait and hope that some prices come down. We do have the Apex TA this April at a price in a CS that is more than $4000 less per person than the only TA we are interested in for Spring 2024. Just can't justify that price...so we are looking elsewhere🤔
  8. 1618 our favorite room on all Celebrity ships.......
  9. Was this on Equinox? I thought it had been renovated prior to Covid.
  10. Ok but a more appropriate comparison, as far as just the room is concerned, to a SS on Celebrity would be a Junior Suite on Royal...any ship. The Grand Suite is larger, much better bathroom, a "bedroom" area separated by a curtain, 2 TV's and more square footage than nearly all Sky Suites. Junior Suite and Sky Suite very close in square footage and all are just one large room. But yes, the perks included on X suites are better.
  11. We've done several TA's on a very similar route to the one you are considering. All but one the weather was great. This year's Apex TA wasn't as nice. There were several days/nights when we could not utilize the balcony. If you can afford the Retreat areas that you get for booking a suite are well worth it. Only you can decide if you want to spend the $$. Luminae is wonderful. But as others have said TA's are more about relaxing than anything else.
  12. Sorry but $11,500 for a Celebrity Suite is ridiculous.
  13. Prices are crazy for the same old, same old itineraries.... we've got the Apex TA in April and then we are booking elsewhere.... unfortunate but true.
  14. It's too bad, we really love the Celebrity suite product but not enough to break the bank. My first TA in a Celebrity Suite in 2015 was about $3500. per person for a 16 night cruise. Now a 14 night is charging more that 3 times that total ..... yes, there has been inflation...but this is nuts. Waiting to see what Princess, HAL and Royal have to offer, or maybe time to just find other vacations.
  15. Celebrity suites on the Apex 13 night Spring 2024 TA is going for almost $4000($11945pp) more per person total than the Apex 14 night Spring 2023 TA. $11K plus per person is insane. The Beyond going to Rome even more. Looking elsewhere.....
  16. I wish there was somewhere on the website that states this. All I can find is this, which does not list an amount: Should you choose to change your original ship and/or sail date, if you booked directly with us, please contact our Consumer Outreach team at (866) 562-7625 where a representative will assist in making the desired changes, while also applying the qualifying change fee(s) and collecting payment, if not already done so.
  17. Interesting that a TA can provide a refundable deposit when the cruiseline doesn't. I may ask the TA I've used in the past if they can do the same without any increase in fare.
  18. Wow....the TA's have nothing new..... 😟
  19. Where are they available....haven't seen any.... HELP!!!!
  20. The only transatlantics available so far is the Eclipse from Cape Liberty to Iceland and back to Boston... hope the rest are loaded soon.
