  1. Enjoy the room. It has a huge balcony and you can usenit any time.
  2. Whataburger coming to a Princess ship near you - would be my guess.
  3. Forget about purchasing, I can't even register. Have any Canadians successfully registered for these rewards? After a few days and seberal tries at fiddling, I finally got it to accept the Postal Code (which is soppose to be an option), but now I can't get my phone number in. Says it only accepts country codes of +1, ok, that's not a problem. But when I enter my phone number, it won't accept it. Says US numbers only and there is no option to bypass.
  4. @cmaleblanc if you are close to the boarder you can always do your interview at the US boarder crossing. We did that when we first got our Nexus cards and once when my husband's was up for renewal.
  5. I've taken the transfer from Ft. LAUDERDALE once. I di t remember why we did, because we've always used taxi or uber before. But FLD is one place I would never use the transfers again. Taxi is much faster, cheaper and convenient.
  6. Making reservations in the app is useless. Just go to the dining room ofnyour choice and make reservations or call the DINE number.
  7. Ah yeah! Already said I didn't notice the ship and maybe my terminology was wrong, but.permium or Deluxe or whatever they call it on the newer ships have a sofa.
  8. It may be there are no longer Business or First class flight available in Princess' bucket. You can try after being ticketed through the airline. Or if BA allows bidding for upgrades, you can try that. I have successfully upgraded from Premium Economy to Business on AC with a flight purchased with EZaire.
  9. Thanks for the correction -- my misunderstanding.
  10. The "premium" rooms (inside (not sure if there are any), outside and balcony) all have sofas. I believe some of these make into a bed. They may also have the bunk above the sofa. And some (new) ships have sofas in all rooms.
  11. I thought if you purchased the Plus or Premier on board, you didn't have to follow the all people in the room stuff. So you could purchase on board, but only on day 1 or day 2.
  12. One hundred percent correct. In my past life, as a microbiologist, even stains used to dye bacteria get contaminated from topping up. And these are just sprayed onto glass slides, they are not touching hands, etc. that would allow the contents to become contaminated easily. On top of that, a lot of these stains have antibacterial agents (iodine, crystal violet, methyline blue, etc.) in them and they can still eventually grow bacteria. Those bottles are topped up constantly. Have you ever had one that is not full? I've even seen the contamination in them. In one particular hotel the bottle was growing something that didn't like air - so the bottom part of the bottle was all hazy and the top part was clear. Just gross. I hate using them, but I do on occasion. I usually have my own.
  13. Have to tell a funny story here. On one of our cruises the couple next door were fairly loud and often had their TV blaring. One night there was a noise coming from what I assumed was a drawer they'd left open. The ship was rocking pretty good and it was slamming back and forth with the ship and they weren't in the cabin. Called security and asked them to check if a drawer open or something, but that didn't resolve the problem. All night bang, bang. The next day I opened our fridge and found the slamming drawe. It was some cans of soda that had been placed in the fridge so they were rolling back and forth with the rocking of the ship and banging! Thank goodness I didn't go banging on their door!
  14. For the transit we did there was a "celebration" in Sanctuart. Mimosas in the morning (early opening as previously mentioned). I believe we had continental breakfast items and there was a photo.
  15. They had a notification on their site saying certain areas would not be available between certain hours for maintenance. I don't know why they do maintenance during the day on a weekend (prime browsing time). I but that was your problem.
  16. I have always purchased the Enclace or Thermal Suite pass precruise - except on my last cruise. We were on the Enchanted and my personalized only showed Thermal Suite NOT the Enclave. And even when I tried to purchase the Thermal Suite, it would kick me out. I know from CC postings that others on the cruise were able to purchase Enclave. I called Princess - no success. I removed and add the app - no success. Finally I just made a recording of my experience on the app, went to the Spa ASAP after boarding and insisted I get the precruise price. Had a little bit of a fight, but nothing extreme. Did get it. But like your wife, I depend on the Enclave to keep my back from acting up. Good luck!
  17. Deluxe rooms have the sofa/loveseat in all categories.
  18. When I was planning my first cruise, 20 odd years ago, there was an elderly gentleman in my Aquafit class at the gym who was always off on a cruise. I believe at that time he'd been on 85, so I asked him what would be the best line to cruise the Mediterranean. He said Princess without any hesitation. His wife even gave him some Patters to bring me from their last cruise. DH and I are now Elite. I do get the hankering to try Celebrity or Oceana and might someday, but Princess is like an old shoe - I know the fit, the comfort and the occasional calluses.
  19. Oh... and others on the cruise were able to pre-book, so I don't know what was up
  20. Sometimes! I had one cruise that it would not show up pre-cruise. And I've always booked pre-cruise. I took a screen shot video showing I couldn't book it pre-cruise and went to the spa once on board and fought to get it for pre-cruise pricing.
  21. That is a door and walkway for crew to a piece of equipment. The equipment is a round structure on top of a pole. Satellite equipment or something. Stayed in L102 for a TA and never saw anyone access the equipment.
  22. I don't know what I was expecting, but I thought a premium dessert would be something like a great piece of black forest cake or crepes or chocolate fondue. Something you would order at lunch or dinner. Not a sundae or milkshake.
