  1. Try reporting Celebrity to your state's attorney general for false advertising.
  2. For my upcoming cruise in January on Con. still showing Dinner in Oceanview from 6:00-9:30PM and late night to 1AM. I hope they do not get rid of the late-night snacks, that would upset me more than the room service charge, which still upsets me.
  3. Cappuccino - $5 Singapore Sling - $10 Classic Martini - $13 Blandy's 15 year Malmsey $21 Beer - $10 above does not include gratuities
  4. If boarding is delayed a full day does Celebrity give a prorated refund?
  5. You could wait 30 - 45 minutes without a reservation.
  6. On Summit basic internet would be impossible for WiFi calling.
  7. If you are before final payment you might want to look into AI if you want an alcohol package. On some cruises it is less than $80 pp/pd and includes gratuities (i.e., the $17.50 pp/pd plus the gratuities on the covered drinks), basic WiFi, and drinks (I think there is a $9 or $10 limit on drinks) and no fancy water or smoothies.
  8. This is from Celebrity's web site regarding All Included: "Choose from an incredible array of beers, spirits, cocktails, liqueurs, frozen drinks, wines by the glass, sodas, juices, specialty coffees and bottled water from our Classic Drinks Package." IN GENETRAL YOU CAN NOT TRUST CELEBRITY THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!
  9. I wish I could have tea, doctor says no.
  10. Room service coffee, in fact full room service breakfast, was free last time I cruised. I have been using an instant coffee at home that I like a lot, there are a number of decent instant coffees in the market these days. Almost as good as brewed coffee. Better than what they are likely to provide in the stateroom. However, at home when I don't want to make a full pot I just do a pour over. I use an inexpensive plastic single cup Melita pour over. I get very good coffee each time (use good ground coffee of course), better than the pods. Except for rough sea days this should work fine in Britannia.
  11. Do you mean something like a Frozen Daiquiri? Probably yes, but I think we'll have to wait to until February to get the real answer.
  12. It is still a mess and may not get straightened out until February or possibly latter. If you have a cruise in January, it may require arguments with the staff to get what you think you bought.
  13. The worst lines are the first night when passengers are trying to figure things out and move them around. I think the other lines in the MDR tend to be a lot of people without reservations showing up at the same time looking for a table. Also, I think they are understaffed.

  15. First, if you are thinking of buying a alcohol drink package it may be WAYYYY cheaper to get the AI when you consider gratuities, etc. ALSO, the last time I looked at my cruise planner (which was after the change in packages) it said the Classic package INCLUDED Zero-Proof and zero proof has the fancy waters and frozen smoothies, etc. At the moment I think there is still complete confusion at Celebrity about what includes what. Inconsistency across their website and I would not trust what the agents say.
  16. Based on the original question I assumed that the OP wanted to stay downtown. That is why I mentioned the Path from World Trade to Exchange Place. I have walked from the battery to New York Penn a couple of times and find it interesting but with limited time it may not make sense. However, while they are very touristy, the double decker buses can be fun if there is enough time and will give you a broader view of NY. As it was said before it is a complete shame that they did not overnight in Manhattan. Would have made things sooo much easier and allowed more time in New York. As others have pointed out Cape Liberty is in Bayonne NJ, and while I think the Costco near the port is rather nice not much else to say for that spot.
  17. I think this "promotion" has been going on since about a week before Thanksgiving although there might be an occasional $50 variation in OBC. There are of course significant price adjustments on cruise less than 30 or so days out where there are a large number of unsold cabins.
  18. From the terms and conditions of the Summer savings Event: Specialty Dining: Guests sailing on voyages between 7 and 20 nights in length will have the option to receive 1 dinner at the Steakhouse or 2 dinners at the Lido / Kings Court Alternative Dining
