  1. In my opinion it is very easy, reorganization through Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code and continue to operate as debtor in possession corporation. This allows the company to shed its crushing debt and operate more freely.
  2. I think the prohibition only applies to travel agencies because Cruise Critic makes money from travel agencies through their find a cruise page.
  3. The cruise-only fare also used to include juices at breakfast.
  4. What about on the other class of ships that have 1 MDR?
  5. If it really was not changed then I see no reason for a complete refund. Whatever the standard cancellation and/or transfer policies apply.
  6. Along with the higher prices expect service cuts and increased onboard prices.
  7. This has been my experience. I do not like going through a TA. However, that is not to say that there not good TAs out there. Unless you actually find a GOOD TA (I would not trust anyone but a friend who has used the TA) booking direct is recommended.
  8. For which cabin category? Smaller then some larger than others. It also depends on the ship class. Also, which ship class in the other cruise lines. I assume this is a fake question and not worth the time to answer.
  9. I have decided to NOT book anything and do a wait and see. If things don't get better I'll either book Oceania or just skip cruising.
  10. I prefer Cunard. FYI, Celebrity requires a supervised test for Transatlantic. I thought last time I read the requirements Royal also required a supervised test. Cunard also requires full vaccination.
  11. Last time we cruised (on Summit) we dined at pretty much the same time every day and they put us at the same table/same waiters. As pmrssk stated talk to the Maitre'd. Since you are dining early there is a better chance you can get the same table each day. You might want to talk to the Maitre'd when you board.
  12. It is almost always more expensive to things separately then All Included. According to the FAQs, easily found on the celebrity website: Premium - $109/day + 20% grats Classic - $89/day + 20% grats The above are list price. You may get a few % off if you book precruise.
  13. I called Celebrity and they said I had to take things off the ship. Were they wrong?
  14. Does the opposite happen, they fill up before you board?
  15. Thank you. Never knew you could do this. Helped a lot.
  16. So is the main dining room more crowded? Do they still offer something in the OV until 1AM?
  17. They sometimes sell them in the photo area. IF YOU REALLY WANT BINOCULARS BRING YOUR OWN. The ship will have maybe one model for sale at an overpriced rate. You should really try out binoculars before you buy. Expect to pay a MINIMUM of $100, $150+ is better. Best bet for binoculars these days is a large sports store like Cabela's. If there is a really large photography store near you that might also work. A good website to look at, just to see what exists, All Binoculars Official Site (telescope.com) I have bought telescopes through them.
  18. On a sea day? How do check a sailing you are not on?
  19. I don't remember if the burger place by the pool is open on embarkation. Also, are some of the specialty restaurants open for lunch on embarkation>
  20. FYI, before you book look at all that is happening with Royal (i.e., changing menus, etc.) to see if you still want to book. As to prices you should know that prices of drink packages and excursions go up and down all the time. So the price today may not be the price tomorrow.
  21. I was thinking of booking this pre-cruise to save a few dollars however, they don't have a day/time of the event in cruise planner.
  22. Bushnell is OK, Nikon is better and I hear Leica is really good. If you buy your own TRY THEM OUT FIRST. Also make sure they are waterproof.
  23. Did not know that. we only have a B&W printer so that is all we ever do.
