  1. However, those sales aren't drastic cuts. Maybe free gratuities, or specialty meals or a few hundred in OBC.
  2. If it is not too crowded, they may let you on early. If you arrive late, BUT AT LEAST THE MINIMUM BEFORE DEPARTURE, there is no problem. At a certain point they shut down check-in and it is time to call the insurance people.
  3. There are not that many choices on the vegetarian menu however what they had looked good. We ordered vegetarian many times.
  4. The real issue with cruises these days, especially longer ones and B2B, is that COVID is easy to catch on a cruise and with the various cruise line protections ending (if you test positive on the cruise you've lost the rest of the cost of your cruise, no more prorated refund) it can be an expensive and unenjoyable experience. If you catch COVID while at home, you have better access to medical care if you need it and even if you don't you won't be stuck in your cabin.
  5. Cabin move is guaranteed. Look at the locations of all the Aqua Class cabins and make sure you are OK with any of the cabins since you have absolutely NO control over which one you get. Once reassigned you probably won't have an option to change cabins since all Aqua and Concierge will be full (other bidders).
  6. One of the cruise stops is Cartagena, Colombia. The excursions have a specific section that mentions "crime." How safe is Cartagena?
  7. If I remember correctly the vegetarian options were on the app.
  8. Yes, age is probably a very significant risk factor. It is even a significant risk factor for the flu.
  9. As others have said, COVID is endemic like the flu. I am older so I get the flu shot every year and will probably get a COVID booster every year. As they say, these do not necessarily prevent you from getting sick however they significantly lower the probability of severe illness and death. I also wear an N95 mask in crowded situations. I will definitely wear it in airports. On ships I will take the stairs when possible. I think an N95 mask DOES help, some. Any other type of mask is probably useless. Given how cruises operate these days there is almost a 100% probability of coming in contact with someone who has COVID. Everyone needs to look at their own risk profile (age, health issues, family history with COVID [if someone in my family died of COVID I would NOT cruise]) and make a decision as to what risk to accept.
  10. I have a sailing in Britannia scheduled on the QE. Do you think the menus will be similar. Also, I know I will not be able to go off the menu however in the MDR are they usually willing to not add something? For example, not add croutons to the salad. Most mainstream cruise lines do this.
  11. They don't do an official afternoon tea like Cunard (i.e., English tea service) if that is what you are asking.
  12. Thankyou. I had booked with Celebrity. Some of their agents are very good and helpful. Some are clueless. Called again and got one of the helpful ones. She linked the cruises and also gave me a $100 discount on each cruise since they were B2B. I think the discount is more since they are longer cruises. I have tried to find a good TA but to date have been unsuccessful.
  13. They are not showing a discount, any way to fix that?
  14. How do I make sure the 2 cruises are "linked". Tried called Celebrity and they were not very helpful.
  15. I don't mind that the prices change. The scary thing is when there is only 1 flight a day and it may get cancelled.
  16. Prices vary for everything, including the cruise itself. Yesterday morning I booked a new cruise and that evening (for the exact same cabin class, cabin right next to the one I booked) the price had gone up 20%.
  17. I tried using the web site to look into a transfer to the Tampa Airport from the Tampa port and nothing is showing up for January. Is it too soon, do I need to call?
  18. It is of course possible to carry the a la carte a little too far. For example, there is no reason that any meal needs to be included or afternoon tea or the shows. Each item can be priced separately. Actually, each entree, appetizer and desert can be priced individually like most restaurants.
  19. I meant all the non-alcoholic stuff. Like espresso and juices.
  20. This has probably been asked before. If you purchase alcohol in the onboard duty-free shop, they usually let you pick it up the night before departure. If you purchase alcohol in the first leg of a B2B, do they let you pick it up the night before the end of the first leg? Can you then put it in your luggage and have it moved between cabins?
  21. While I don't drink enough to warrant having alcohol included, I wish they would include all the soft drinks in the price the way Oceania does.
  22. When my Celebrity cruise ends, we have a choice of a 3PM, 6PM, or 8PM return flight to home on the day of disembarkation. I don't want to cut the return flight home close (I once ran to the plane and NEVER want to EVER do that again). I'll do 8PM if necessary, however would like an earlier VERY SAFE flight time if possible. Any thoughts?
  23. We never did a B2B before. What should we know? Every bit of info would be appreciated. It is on the Celebrity Constellation. We couldn't get the same cabin.
  24. Does concierge get any additional dinning benefits in the MDR?
