Me either. Fortunately, on my next Azamara cruise, many of us on the roll call are staying at the same hotel pre cruise and have organized a private food tour the day before embarkation. So at least some of us will be well acquainted! Not so on the Viking cruise I’m embarking on next week. No M&M and we will really have to put ourselves out there to meet people!

They seem to schedule it at sail away, which is the worst possible time, IMO.

Me too. As well as Venice, when you could still dock there (and experience that fabulous sail away).

As of right now, all US flights to/from Israel have been canceled- at least for now

My TA, while not exactly discouraging me, did express a lot of frustration a few months ago. Now he says it has gotten much better.

Ahh. Well, I enjoy all of the other stuff. I book the hotels, flights, excursions, etc, but I leave the Azamara shoreside (and the hours on hold) to my TA.

I’ll be going through the canal in less than 2 weeks on another line. I’m not worried.

This is exactly why we use a TA. They absorb all of the pre-cruise pain, and we just enjoy the ride.

It took 6 months from the end of a cruise that I had done a Refer and Receive, and 3 months after they sent me the R & R credit, for my TA to get them to actually apply it to my upcoming cruise!

I don’t think you get loyalty discounts on the Experience More packages. You can certainly buy them before you board and use, you just have to pay for them by CC. After you buy them, you can book excursions using the OBC associated with whatever package you buy. I think I am correct about all of the above!

Thanks. I only asked because sometimes Azamara offers $40 per laundry bag specials, so I thought Viking might too.

Are there ever any “specials”, like a bag of laundry for $$, instead of by the item? The OP doesn’t want to spend time in the laundry room.

Not sure I agree with you completely. I have lurked on some of their roll calls where they have organized meet and mingles. But it is a process that involves contacting someone onboard the ship with the names and cabin numbers of those who are interested. Not a particularly easy task for a newbie on a quiet roll call. But I, for one, enjoy starting a cruise already knowing a few people, whether or not I am sharing private excursions
