Not sure I agree with you completely. I have lurked on some of their roll calls where they have organized meet and mingles. But it is a process that involves contacting someone onboard the ship with the names and cabin numbers of those who are interested. Not a particularly easy task for a newbie on a quiet roll call. But I, for one, enjoy starting a cruise already knowing a few people, whether or not I am sharing private excursions

The roll call for my upcoming Viking cruise is almost completely silent - and I’ve tried!!

So sad. It’s such a great way to meet others on your cruise!

I am still chasing referral $$ from Azamara six months after the friends I referred completed their cruise. So this problem is not limited to Viking!

Well, Ms Navarro claimed she hadn’t been comped for her (2) Azamara cruises and did have a discussion with Carol about being the only Hispanic CEO in the industry and probably one of the few women. Carol said that 70% of Azamara’s leadership is women. She (Ana) really liked the crew (who doesn’t), the itineraries. Carol skirted a question about the age of the ships by answering that that were “refreshed” in 2021 - lol. All in all, pretty much a piece of fluff, as expected.
