I understand your position... We travel in Sept with 14 others and I will send everyone an email to alert them of the possible changes to dining aboard our ship... This way they can be prepared for what "some" consider to be bad and know that better will the order of the evening... we shall see for sure. bon appetit and bon voyage

Well, since I resemble these descriptors, I would just say you are an independent thinker and will make a final decision after the sailing... Many of us learn our own truths through making our own paths... Understanding what we can control or not and deciding if it is worth it is a personal decision... Sorry about first time experience with your friends, then again it was right after the pandemic... just a thought. I have had similar happen with me, pre-pandemic, went on The Edge with 14 other friends, four (4) of whom are MSC lovers hated X because there were so many things it did not offer that MSC did... yet we made the best of it while sailing along.. although it did not help to see a MSC ship in one of our ports... LOL At any rate, let us know how you enjoy your next sailing on X and what improvements/adjustments found to your liking or disliking. bon voyage

Did the far drop before or after your final payment??? It is 'usually' the norm that after final payment, there is no adjustment in airfares since it is a third party agency booking. bon voyage

sj - it is quite unfortunate that you understood my post to be "snarky" while in fact they were comments on my knowledge about ordering water AND an inquiry as to quantities of water you and your travel companion drink while traveling. Nothing more or nothing less.... Plus I offered up that consideration be given to getting the ZBP in lieu of bringing water with you. Cheers and bon voyage

I Am not under any illusion about "Class Distinction" on ships rather it be Officers, staff, crew... Just merely that eating in the same venues as they do always provide a different perspective as to how those usually not seen eats... Likewise, were I sailing in The Retreat and its' environs, I would venture out to other parts of the ship to see how other passengers were making out and enjoying the sailing... I did not realize that water could have been ordered by the case on X.... before this post. Approximately, how many bottles of water do you plow through on a seven (7) night sailing??? ZBP value proposition may be worth it vs bringing cases of water with you at embarkation. Just a thought. Cheers and bon voyage

No worries, just let the Maitre d' know in advance and you will be accommodated without an extensive wait because it will be pre-planned as opposed to just showing up and letting them know on the spot and trying to figure out what to present. bon appetit and bon voyage edited to add: this will be for any food changes you want and will far easier to accommodate in Blu vs other venues. Even if you decided you wanted pizza, give them at least a days notice and it will appear at your table, I Am sure.

Pricing transparency, which many states require btw, base price plus tax... Yes, so people do not have to do the math... I will do the math every time for something like this, then again when it is totaled on the next page it should be a quick math solve is it really 20% added or not??? As for the lobster comparison, we are not bringing lobsters aboard to have cooked for us at that price, as such, it is what it is and if we want extra that is what we have to pay or not... get a different entree. The pricing is only ridiculous if one chooses to not pay for it (and/or not complain to the F&B Manager if the product does not meet expectations or desires). Pricing of food in one part of the US does not, necessarily equate to the same price in another part so the comparison is relatively not a good one. Yet it does point out that you can get that product more 'economically' than others, possibly. A great option, as I view it, is to sit with a group who would not eat lobster have them order it and pass it to you, then they can order a non-up charge entree and then you will have a lot of lobster for next to nothing.. but a Thank You and a smile. bon appetit and bon voyage

Well, my only thought is, it is a good thing that We have other cruise lines to which we can flee for the buffet spreads that are grand and pricing is lower or comparable to what is forked over to X for the current product rolled out... The other lines are happy to take us on aboard and thank X for their changes to make a few old timers to look elsewhere for better. bon appetit and bon voyage

lw - I Am doing my best to convince my spouse... I understand the value proposition presented by Oceania, but, but, but, but My spouse prefers X's ship size and many of the activities offered... I do prefer the smaller ship offerings and presentation... Maybe I can try it at least once... and most likely by myself, at that... LOL Cannot wait to read about your take on Oceania... In fact, I would in fact... getting food which is not served in The OVC or MDR except upon request, that is if one knows to request it... and I have often times made those requests... bon appetit and bon voyage

.... and I detest the viking commercials I see and hear... I have told my spouse to not expect us to sail on that line anytime soon, unless something changes, especially their payment due date or I come into some unexpected riches to give it to them for such a long lead time IMO... LOL bon voyage
