  1. Yeah, I at first thought you were talking about inside balconies on Central Park, so I was referencing Oasis class...later I reread it...I corrected that in subsequent post.
  2. Most of those heading into the Aqua Dome and behind the glass windscreen are not balconies but fixed window walls. The Panoramic Interior Cabins.Cat.N cabins. That is the category we were hoping to book, but it was just too confusing with all the triple passie requirements and I finally got impatient with the agent who just couldn't get it together, so we just booked an interior. Although it looks like they will get sufficient ventilation between the screen...looks like there is several feet of space between your window and it. We'll just have to wait and see, I am certainly going to try and take a look at one when we board if possible.
  3. As someone who had one, I can tell you it was quite cool on deck 10, we had the port side on Central Park and again we had the last one on deck 11 starboard on the Aqua Theater and the breeze was quite brisk there as well. We had no complaints whatsoever except that you had to be discreet when dressing, but if you kept the sheer curtains closed during the day, no one could see you in there unless you were well backlit from the mirror or bathroom. Had to close the blackouts during the nights though to limit noise from Boardwalk and the Aqua shows, but Central Park was lovely, cricket and bird sounds and string ensembles at night. We'd book one again without question. For people who say they want to just chill out and watch the sea, deck 16 is predominately just that, places everywhere on that deck to just watch the ocean. People really need to explore the deck plans.
  4. Adults don't like slides? Well, I'm 72 and I still love 'em. I consider the smaller kiddies will be down on deck 7 in the family area (Surf Side and Splashaway Bay) not topside. Only the older teens etc will be up on the slides (Thrill Island)and Flowrider. If people would really explore the ship online they would see the only thing topside for the smaller kids is the little play area to the port side of the waterpark and a small kiddie pool under all the slides, that's all, the rest are adult./older teens areas, most of the kiddie things are on Boardwalk and the gaming areas. Those little kiddie splash zones are really just holding areas for kids whose parents may be in the main pools or sliding. I won't be down there, even if I am on the slides, the point is the rest of the whole top side is mostly older kids/adult areas with bars. And even the rides have height restrictions. Not a problem for me...I don't mind teens at all. The mini golf maybe, but once and done IMHO. Overall, yes, they're trying to lure more family style cruising, but that is not a concern for me. We will do our thing regardless and have plenty of chill time with cocktails in hand. And the solarium is just being replaced by the Cove and Cloud 17...only thing you lose is the glass roof. If it's raining go to the Aqua Dome area
  5. We've done carni and Celebrity 🥰, and we may venture out to NCL and maybe Mardi Gras or the newer Jubilee when she debutes, but we are just happy with RCL, why even go there.
  6. It occurs to me that some people just can't stand it that others are enjoying themselves and having fun....pity! People putting stuff on their cabin door is the last thing I would ever be annoyed by. Not even on my radar.....
  7. Avert your eyes....it'll all be better in the morning...........
  8. To each his own, I will be all over this ship...except in the back. I see plenty of adult spaces.
  9. Sorry, but we're over the mouse stuff...I would never consider Disney. We are perfectly happy with RCL's product. Also love sister Celebrity...my hubs is a techi, he owns his own tech company so anything techi gets his vote.
  10. We booked September, one of our favorite months because of Hurricane pricing and we just couldn't swing the inaugural😥
  11. Not at all, they've just organized it better. THere are plenty of venues for adults and the kids will all be elsewhere, Boardwalk and gaming. The solarium is there, also a new pool bar, in fact if you look at this photo, kids are pretty much relegated to the back third of the ship and deck ...we don't have to see them at all unless we go back there or to the slides. All of the other pools on top deck are pretty much for adults with the occasional kid in the large pool maybe, they'll want to be down on Boardwalk. I love how they designed it. SOOOO many things for adults from the Aquadome to the Grove, from the Cloud 17 to Swim and Tonic to the cove pool. Families are also bunched together in the aft. I don't think we'll be seeing many families/kids in those parts.
  12. 10 more sleeps till we leave for Little Rock..woohoo.
  13. On the list of factors choosing cruises, itinerary is last on my list. I cruise for the relaxation, the ship and Big Blue. If I want to see places, I fly there.
  14. Jam has just posted a lovely tree pic on her Royal November thread. Looks like Liberty: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2892278-a-royal-november-live-from-marinerlibertyindymariner-ots/page/17/#comment-64374812
  15. One year I went nuts for Christmas: Yeah I'm sorta of a sap... Our cabin email.wmv
  16. I have a babies flip flop with Oma on it that I made. Nobody has snagged it yet. But when you're in a hurry it helps to identify how far away you are down the hall. These are my grandkids.
  17. I was aiming for the one row of seats outside conference center on balcony level. I've been looking at all kinds of Youtubes and that looked like a great place to stake out!
  18. Be sure and come back and update this thread with reviews! I leave on the 11th! So far I can't book anything but the Book which I already did.
  19. We had family reunion cruise and had 16 peeps. Emailed RCLDining and they set us up with 2 long tables at the back of the dining room. Worked out great. I think there 10 at one table and next to that was another table for 6 others.
  20. I am getting the new Covid booster and my flu shots this week at Walmart, we cruise in 2 weeks.
  21. I don't get why people let themselves be bothered by this. I totally ignore it, smiling and nodding my head no and just walk on, doesn't affect me at all. I don't even speak, just wave or shake my head, they never accost me. The other stuff doesn't bother me either. I like talking to the wait staff and we frequently travel with 2 to 4 cruise buds. They have never bothered any of us. If people are truly annoyed, I suggest talking to the head waiter or guy at the desk up front on the first day or night and make him aware of this so he can reign them in....I bet if that was done, you'd never be approached accept for normal ordering exchanges. If they got the impression you were going to give a BAD review because of annoying harassment on the survey, I bet they would totally leave you alone! You could tell him if anyone mentions the survey you will certainly give them a 2, not a 10.
