  1. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Now that's good thinkin !
  2. All interesting experiences I have been on 11 RC cruises now and never experienced any issues like this in windjammer . The longest wait was on Symphony where It might have taken 3 minutes to get to the washy stations. MDR is currently a disaster IMO , but thats another story'. As far as Sorrentos I would say it would be a stretch to say I ever waited more than 3 minutes in line as well , and that would only be after a Main Theatre show is getting out . On my 1 Norwegian I learned there were a few things I loved , including Thermal Spa My Time Dining , (kicked A$$ compared to RCI's attempt) , and Dueling Piano bar was also great . I feel overall I like Royal ships a bit better (than my 1 experience) but would gladly sail Norwegian again if I could find the right itinerary to get on another Norwegian sailing . Though I'm always actively trying , Royal seems to pull me back in Cheers
  3. I am pretty sure It was never said that it was my responsibility , but I'm guessing I certainly wouldn't have been frowned upon by his superior had I reported this and let him decide whether this was acceptable. There are consequences for unacceptable behavior in the workplace you know. As for the rest of your ramblings , I guess you got me . Apparently I should have been fed to the sharks for my "failure "?! Cheers ,
  4. When an area is basically taken over for a giant dance party/concert event I think shoulder to shoulder should be expected . Best to avoid if you are not "there for the party " Outside of these times the crowd size is generally minimal. Cheers
  5. That's definitely not the norm I have seen the ice show at least a dozen times and have never seen more than a stumble ! Cheers
  6. Comprehensive comparison with some helpful points ! Leaves me a little confused as to why it seems you split your time somewhat equally on the 2 when most of your points are clearly much more in favor of NCL ? Cheers
  7. I think there is definitely a place for this depending on the situation . On my first cruise I once watched an employee finish at the urinal and turn around and walk without washing his hands . He subsewuently turned the corner and walked into the specialty restauraunt and continued setting tables for the evening... Should this be my place to report ? FWIW...... I talked myself out of reporting due to the fact I didn't want to get someone fired , but after thinking more about it determined I should have and if he got fired that would not be my fault but his Cheers
  8. Exactly... I try to pick less port intensive cruises , so if there is a stop I don't like , no biggee , we just throw a real chill "sea day" into the mix
  9. Ok Q When is the final payment for my cruise vacation due? A Final payment of the balance must be received at Royal Caribbean's offices at least 75 days prior to the sailing date for 1 - 4 night cruise vacations and 90 days prior to the sailing date for 5-night or longer cruise vacations. The payment schedule for groups is different from that of individuals. You will usually have access to your cruise documents 30 days prior to your sailing as long as your reservation is finalized. The above information also applies to all holiday sailings, defined as sailings that occur on or between Christmas and/or New Year's day. To make a payment on your cruise vacation, Look up my reservation
  10. Basically a 50 % increase . You hit the nail on the head , as long as people are paying these prices RCI will continue to "gouge". I am of the belief that the current pricing I am seeing looking out is not sustainable , and will start to trend back 'down to earth'. Only question is how long before the cycle runs its course . We have been trying to cruise twice a year ( a Feb. trip and again Sept./Oct.) We were able to get Wonder at a fair price in Feb. of this year and have Freedom/Harmony for Early Oct. , but looking into next February , I'm not yet seeing my trip line up yet Time will tell Cheers
  11. It varies ...75 for shorter cruises . Group rates can also be different
  12. Very tempered response to a sassy comment ... Very Canadian ! Cheers
  13. Ride out the cycle , I think there are some tough times ahead with Post C#^!& government incentives coming to an end . I don't believe these prices can last ! we'll see ?
  14. pretty sure that when the ships are gone the employees who live there can use any beach they want Seems like a fair gig !
  15. I'm surprised nobody stated the obvious right answer >> Both !!! Just kidding . I was going to say Labadee because Nassau is one of my least favorite ports , but then you state you treat it like a sea day ,(I do too) Sooo ,I guess the question for you might be do You really prefer an actual sea day or the half empty ship vibe where there will be less going on and a much quieter day ...? I think My vote will go to Labadee for the reason as someone else stated , that Coco cruises are way more common nowadays . Labadee was my first ever cruise stop 16 years ago ,(sentimental favorite) , and Coco has become one of our favorite stops as well . Love the private islands , Obviously won't go wrong with either pick ! Cheers
  16. If maybe next week has been the response since May , then they definitely aren't sharing all that they know. The massive amounts of money that is paid by the cruiselines to dock at these ports is mindblowing and I'm sure that the NCL bigwigs would certainly be privy to better updates than that . The fact that they just keep selling their cruises under the false pretense that this will be a stop , is inexcusable ! At the very least as some have said there should be a footnote... Maybe like .... "Oh by the way , incase this might be of interest to you ,we have had to cancel this stop on each of our last 20 cruises " I would respectfully disagree with any assertion that there is not fault on the part of NCL !
  17. If these statements are true , this makes my stomach churn when a large company like this gets away with deception and there seems to be no recourse. Reminds me of politicians
  18. We never thought we would sail Wonder for likely a couple more years due to pricing. Had never been on the newest and shiniest model . Got home from Symphony last October and found a surprisingly good price for an interior on Wonder for March , thought about it for about 11 and 1/2 minutes and jumped on it. I'm thinkin the way things are goin now we definitely won't be on the newest/shiniest model again for quite some time ! Freedom/Harmony upcoming for this fall. The hour drive makes me very envious ! Cheers
  19. It was really amazing how easy being truly Dark comes to you in those caves ! We had been questioning for years just based on how little time we actually spend in there in a week if it is really worth the extra cash for us ... I'm glad we took the leap and found out . I'll still stay away from guarantee's though
  20. Nice , That makes a lot of sense And no you certainly did not need to defend yourself . Apologies to you if you took me the wrong way Enjoy
  21. My apologies that came across ignorant as you state. That's the downfall to all written forms of communication . It was meant in humour !
  22. Lots to see if you like to 'people watch' ! Also watch the parades if you are feeling lazy . We have always paid the difference when booking inside to upgrade to Promenade ... Until last fall. We did b2b.. Symphony (boardwalk balcony ), followed by Explorer (Promenade ). At the end of the week we realized we hadn't opened our curtains since the first day . After that we saw a great price for Wonder a couple months ago but price only good for an inside , so decided to give it a try , and loved it!! We enjoyed the Prom view for many cruises ( And you will too ) but will no longer spend the extra to upgrade if choosing an inside cabin , Cheers
