Except I profited. Not a lot. Socks still usable but wearing out due to age. No he didn't want them. That was the only issue I ever had. Hate laundry at home. Really hate it onboard
-
I also stopped using the free laundry service despite being elite many times over. Faded clothing, torn underwear...it just wasn't worth it! I once had socks fade. I was comped $10 after I showed the onboard accountant what they would cost new ($7 + tax + inconvenience). They were really old

Discovery - Prem Dlx Aft or MiniSuite with the Extended Angled Deck
Ombud replied to Griff4AU's topic in Princess Cruises
In that case, C403-C409. Mini-suite, larger balcony, can 'close' 1 room where 10 yo is with drape (on at least 1 royal class ship) and still have TV, sofa, balcony Yes I get a mini-suite when it's 16F, 8F, and me -
Yes. Thats what they've always said in the past .... but just in case I've book an expensive small group excursion. Not really small but limited to 18 on raft instead of 50. Hate HATE big groups

Discovery - Prem Dlx Aft or MiniSuite with the Extended Angled Deck

The bigger questions are "do you want the room divided in half? Is having a bathtub important?" If the answer to those are YES then book the mini-suite. Personally, as a clautrophobic solo, I'll take the DB and skip the partial room divider and tub. -

If Razzle Dazzle Restaurant has a menu posted outside, can you post their menu?? -
Princess vs. Virgin Voyages Round 1: Pre-Cruise Experience

ewww ..... I like it, kinda rolls off the tongue. Maybe Virgin can use it as advertisment Will readily admit the shoes optional in restaurants stumps me -
@mtnesterz try the little known separate vegetarian menu (ok it's really vegan). My favorite PCL soup is the vegan onion soup (beets in broth) once they add cheese (I'm vegetarian not vegan). SO GOOD!! And I normally don't eat beets but it adds a something something

Neither of us were ever in the military What about shareholder? I'm not exclusively on PCL. (And yes, I looked at MSC status matching) -
Hollandaise sauce. It's normally fluid but some reason I can cut it with a fork.

I had the issue with 8/30-9/17 voyage. At least exclusively using the stairs helped me avoid gaining too much -
Princess vs. Virgin Voyages Round 1: Pre-Cruise Experience
Ombud replied to CineGraphic's topic in Princess Cruises
IMHO the point is that there isn't clear difference so far other than: 1. Lock It In Rate eliminates watching for price drops 2. Virgin does not have an air or hotel booking program which IMHO is a meh 3. Better app 4. Cruisers interact less pre-cruise (at least on cruise critic) I'm sure there's more differences onboard .... waiting to hear about those -

How much OBC did you get for 100 sh & military credit?? Although that usually more than covers gratuities and wifi on PCL, Virgin could work out to be more cost effective once that's included -
Enchanted and Discovery have a great Princess Live, Crooners is huge, there's soft ice cream at Swirls, hard ice cream with all the toppings in the Pastry Shop, and gelato in the piazza. Princess Live: Take 5:

Thank you!! So cool. Just too heavy. Guess there was no way to economically re-create it on the lower deck.
-
Still prefer Sapphire although that ships internet Cafe was ridiculously large https://www.princess.com/deckPlans.do?shipCode=SA @paradiselivin1 nice size but does the IC have a lot of seating?

So it's vastly different from Skywalkers on the Ruby?? (Haven't been on Grand since 2014 so my memory is fuzzy)
-
Grand has Skywalkers Lounge just not the elevated version anymore. It was originally elevated but was lowered in 2011 .... now more like the crown class version of the Grand Class ships (Crown, Emerald, Ruby). The Grand Class ships are my favorite for Skywalkers. Especially Sapphire. But I'm on Caribbean Princess in a few weeks bc of itinerary

10-13-22 Thursday Weigh-In------. October Candy Month--NO--NO
Ombud replied to Belle's topic in Lose Before You Cruise
Good morning everyone. Waist down 1/2" so it's working. Bought just 1 bag chocolates + 4 regular size bars for 4 youngest grandkids Belle, back from cruising or just a temporary break? Still wondering how to stay on track while cruising Jan, great idea to send home the balance of the bowl with grandkids Izena, aren't neighbor dogs the best!! I'm still walking with a pack of apx 12 in the morning but it's just Koda and me in the afternoon -
This had to be my most confusing disembarkation ever. I went through customs on the 16th as that was my 1st stop in USA. Disembarked the next day and was escorted to a side room, 16" carryon torn apart, several questions re: where the rest of luggage was / what did I do with the other luggage / what sharp things am I carrying / is this my only passport?? Mind you I entered USA the previous day!! I guess traveling for 3 weeks with a small carryon made me a target? Can't be how I look as I'm rather ordinary, dress conservatively, not a kid. I even started collecting SSA this year!! And yeah. Outside of the CBP room Brooklyn terminal is more like a big barn I was not the only one so yes that delays embarkation

Was that the dock in Ringaskiddy? Heavy rain there. We did not dock in Cobh (shifted by port) and I doubt supplies would have been brought on in Azores .... with up to 15 drinks pp & 7 days without bringing onboard there's a supply issue. Should've loaded it in Brooklyn or when it did make it to Boston Yep, 15 pours a day × up to 2600+ pax × 7 days = major issues Bringing 1-2 bottles on

Enchanted Princess was supposed to pick up supplies in Boston on 9/15/22 (or so I was told-- I disembarked 9/17/22) but we had to cross Atlantic near Bahamas bc of a hurricane. It was still very rough. So we missed Boston. In that they had 2 days noticed that we were too far south to hit Boston, I'm surprised they didn't reschedule delivery and pick it up when you stopped there
