  1. I went to the auction because I liked a really pretty embossed picture. They hyped it as a lithograph. Paid $140 as it was a TKO(?) - take off, only 1 nick on frame, fits my house. I'd pay that for a print at Home Goods so I got my money worth. That was as high as I was willing to go because I was going to have to carry it on the plane home. Another time I bought a print for $50. But they really overcharged on shipping. I still like it too. Bottom line:: they are selling home decor
  2. Perfect!! I just have a phone, no computer anymore. I have zoom already so if I can get my phone propped up then agree, backup not needed
  3. Were you able to do it on your phone? I know the site says you can, I just wondering if I can do it in my house (or my son's)?
  4. I'm trying OnPoint ($15) a medically observed online testing service & I can use the free tests mailed out via USPS. https://onpoint-testing.com/product/certified-teleservice-covid-testing My backup is either the county's test to treat site or StatMed. Both free to everyone with insurance For those with an Albertsons / Luckys / Safeway / or Vons they now do the rapid NAAT (PCR) test for $99 and your insurance is supposed to reimburse you.
  5. @Jadn13 & @RSS from SFim on the Discovery in a few weeks & Enchanted in September. I'll try again on those 2 ships
  6. The cocktail party is there, canapés are order on a paper request form for formal night .... pick 1 option. Nothing vegetarian. Most traveled cruisers luncheon is still there High tea was not available to Elite members on my post covid cruises. That was a suite perk. Doesn't really matter. You can put it together on the app (fruit, veggies, cheese, key lime pie, vanilla tea .... yum) Tea is in one of the MDRs off the piazza There has been 2 wine tasting on all 4 restart cruises & it's listed on the app for the upcoming one. Winemakers 1st Sea day, Grapevine last sea day
  7. I did not know elites could do that! I thought it was a suites perk I agree. Shareholder / military stackable OBC is a great benefit but it's not tied to capital circle status. Which IMHO is a benefit
  8. And on my previous 6 medallion cruises it came 3 weeks before my cruise
  9. I'm fine with getting it BEFORE I board. But was a little confused about getting it after I boarded and then logging into ship. Although I guess PSD would log me on. Realistically I think everyone is right .... get it before boarding. Either at home or at the pier
  10. Elite perks have been downgraded to just these as well: Priority embarkation & disembarkation lounge Mini-bar Laundry Tender shortcut 10% discount on excursions & shops, buy discounted wifi
  11. Yes I asked twice how I was getting onboard if I was to get it at PSD on the ship. He just repeated himself. Go to the desk after getting on ship to get a replacement 🙄. I think your info is more reliable
  12. I board 6/26/22 and it hasn't shipped. I know it always says that in the app but this time there's no record in Informeddelivery.usps.com (US mail website). Chat just told me to go to PSD once onboard to get a replacement. Is this new since my April 23, 2022 cruise? Has anyone boarded without a medallion?
  13. Same with Alaska, Virgin, United, Delta, & AA for me. Those are the only ones I've flown since August 2021 so there may be others that don't require ticketing to select seats.
  14. Belle, I do understand the point olaydt is making. We need to be happy with ourselves and not a magazine version of ourselves. No matter how we determine our 'best version.' And that best version will change as we age. I just had to rethink her msg to get there. She's lurking so she's thinking / reevaluating Meghan, still on track? Jo, please let us know how you are when you're up to sharing Izena, did weight loss help your diabetes? (It drastically cut my cholesterol and I went from swings in blood sugar to fairly steady levels. Not diabetic but better. Yes, still can't have sweets around -- especially ice cream. Kids laughingly state I'm an ice cream-aholic)
  15. @olaydti will never look like i did when a teen BUT when I was my heaviest I was on a higher stating dose + 3 other meds. Yes I wanted to fit into that dress. Yes I made that goal. But guess what? My labs are better with less weight & isn't that what really counts? @Jan_In_MaineI'm sorry that you're going through this.
  16. What has you believing that's not possible? Is it personal experience or just posts on here? I've only been on 3 cruises since the restart. I did DMW on the 1st one & had different staff each night. I skipped it on the next 2 and had the same 2 top (or the next table over) with the same HW / W / Asst W with my same pot of tea each meal. (Deck 6 Midship). Same people in the next table over (I'm at the end of 1st row of 2 tops). Why is my experience so different here?? Is it because I eat around 6:30?
  17. Scary!! Wishing you the best 🤞 Up. Blame it on finishing off the ice cream in 3 days. Once I go off plan on 1 thing (ice cream) it just leads to another (crackers)
  18. I also eat anywhere between 6:30-7:30. Not quite the same time as @vinobbut close. I'm getting on the Discovery Princess in less than 4 weeks and, just like my last 2 post shutdown cruises, I am not using the DMW part of the app. I used it last summer and it was useless.
  19. Ice cream only lasted 3 days. Not looking forward to measuring tomorrow
  20. I'm not sure where to post this so Moderators move if necessary Although expeditors cannot book appointments, those appointments can now be booked directly with the US Passport Office. Rafa has a 9am appointment, told to show up with pic / application / 225 expedite fee + 160 fee. Off to do antigen test on Sutter St. Return after lunch to get completed Passport. Then off to SFO for flight to Europe for his cruise. It makes for a hectic day but if you haven't been able to get a 1st time passport, it can be done
  21. Hi Belle. The couch has a clip to keep it together as 1 piece. I was going to just get a chair to go with my 40 yr old sofa (loveseat broke) but when everyone's here we're 11 people. And someone's always here. Jo, I started looking when Sohnjay went to college in 2015. He was supposed to be the last one out. Anna was a surprise but she'll be off to college in 2 yrs. I'm single so no excuse as to why it took 7 yrs. Izena, I got divorced shortly after you and only 2 serious relationships since then. 1 had a heart attack in OR but even though surrounded by MDs didn't make it. Last 1 and I were planning on marriage, had an appointment to buy a house together the week before Thanksgiving 2010, but he ghosted me when he found out how much cash I had and I wouldn't put my home equity into a home for us (planned on taking out a mortgage). Apparently not enough $$. Glad he didn't know about the family apartment bldg. I was kinda secretive. Meghan, I'm watching Coca-Cola 600 on TV. Sohnjay's BF snagged a ticket to the races in Monaco!! He watched that. Lucky Sounds like Izena & i will be cruising same week ... Izena to NE & I'm back to Alaska. Can't wait😀 I'm still hoping for a loss this week. Upping my water
  22. Hoping @VMax1700will have the answer. I'm very frustrated with myself but still want to go. Obviously Waterford is now out .....
  23. It's hard for me to admit this but ~~~~ I have sustained an injury that will prevent me from standing for a long period of time. So I can't take the ship shuttle into Belfast. I walk just fine but only for a few miles but I can't stand. Does anyone know whether or not the taxis take charge cards? If not, do you know how many £s I'll need? Or is there a city bus at the port?? A taxi would be preferable, bus 2nd option. It's close so usually I'd walk but I don't know the terrain ..... I know I can't take the ship shuttle as that would require standing in line
