  1. Wow just wow. I want to go to Cobh. If I'm going to be on a bus for 2 hrs each way I'm not sure it's worth getting off the ship.
  2. Hopefully but those issues were supposedly dealt with back in 2019. Wouldn't be surprised if that caused an extensive drydock earlier than that. Bottom line: like the saying goes ~~~~ YOU CAN PUT LIPSTICK ON A PIG BUT IT'S STILL A PIG. As long as Asia stays closed, a ship like Crown with unresolved issues leading to a lot of negative posts / unhappy cruisers is not needed.
  3. Yes I could cash that 1 of 7 in. But almost all of it will be gone by end of year. Just 73.44 rolling into next year from that in next year, in process of reorganizing so that a little more will roll over. Less than 200 total but that's after 5 cruises after 8/15/21 and only paid out 3 deposits using old gift cards. (All gift cards will also be gone - PCL can't afford too many cruisers like me)
  4. @mtnesterzplease add if you find out AIDAvita's new name What I edited out was that Crown Princess had omitted all cruises after March 2023 but just added cruises up to September 2023. I would still be leery about booking a cruise after March as the propulsion issues have existed since early 2019. Somehow it cannot be resolved. Some of the vessels that shifted out of Princess (Golden & Star to POAU) and POAU (Jewel, Dawn & Aria leaving fleet) were slated as early as 2018 but a lot of the other departures were either sped up or new lockdown decisions
  5. Yep. That's when the rubber hits the road. New terms for current & future cancelations just posted June 14th so stay tuned -- I anticipate a cancelation any day now (Sydney -> Hong Kong March 2023. Same itinerary September 2023 just canceled). That FCC was book by 5/1/23. Will be interesting if it says (current month)/2023 and book by or use by or if it'll still say use by 5/1/2023.
  6. More on lightening up debt load -- Originally canceled voyages got 200% refund as FCC, then 175% both Phase 1. Not applicable as a down-payment on future cruises. Gradually it went to 150%, 125%, 110%. Redeployments in Fall 2020 got up to 600 OBC in addition to 125% FCC to rebook same cruise but 12 months later. That's all history. Currently canceled cruises with FCC will receive 100% FCC reimbursement as it was originally noted with an added notation that goodwill FCC (that 'extra' 10-100%) will still expire 12/31/22. So if my 3/7/23 cruise is canceled bc Asia cruises aren't happening then any goodwill FCC would have expired worthless NYE 2022. Had mine reallocate so that all goodwill FCC is on 9/2/22 cruise. FCC on March 2023 cruise is 'Cash Value FCC-voy"
  7. Where do mutual funds get their money? We have now officially gone down the rabbit hole
  8. So Heritage Group is relaunching entire Crystal Cruises fleet?? Lessens need for Carnival Corp ships but good news for them!! As a shareholder, I started this thread only looking at CCL downsizing. NCL ships have also downsized their fleet / lowered their debt. But I'm not a stockholder of NCL. Yeah, just 1 F rated stock in my portfolio CROWN PRINCESS CRUISES ONLY POSTED UNTIL APRIL 2023!! And recent redeployments do NOT come with incentives. Could they be actively looking for a buyer?
  9. Belle, Father's Day is a little sad here too. Must focus on just the good memories and not his hospice period. Izena, Bon Voyage tomorrow!! Jan, slow & steady gets it done. Those 1.4 lbs will go Jo, are you sticking to 1200 calories too? Susan, kudos on 2.5 lbs gone ✔ There's a lunch every Saturday after services but I don't really need a whole sandwich or a salad drowning in salad dressing. Why do they think a whole bottle is needed?? That's why I avoid the salad and just have a 1/2 sandwich. Off to today's monthly Lunch & Learn luncheon. Upset at my PT. He keeps saying my back pain is due to age despite the fact that I feel a few feet (5-6') down a hill and that's when the pain started. Gave me a ridiculous exercise where I lay on my back, lift my knee 10×. Says to limit exercise to less than 10 minutes a day. And I'm still hiking 3-4 miles a day. And playing ball.

  14. Carnival Corporation kept the Golden and Star. Those ships still have value and relatively few problems. Wasn't listen as part of the up to 25 vessels to go 23 gone from fleet. More will go. 15. Thank you. Enjoy your cruise!! You do not want me renting a car there and I can't find Ringaskiddy or Cobh listed on uber. Apparently taxis would be €50 each way. Right now I'm trying to figure out if these places are walkable from both ports: Doyle Shipping said: "If you can make your way to Glenbrook then there is a ferry service from Glenbrookk (Passage West) to Cobh (Carrigaloe) every 10 mins per Cross River Ferries" So can I walk to Glenbrook Ferry Terminal and from Carrigaloe Ferry Terminal to Cobh Heritage Centre or am I back to square one? My Cruise Vacation Planner said: "The 2 piers are only 3 miles apart" (she knows I'm a walker & 3 miles is nothing on land)
  16. Can I do this on a ship & transfer to my CVP??
  17. I will correct posts to state if vaxed in California, Oregon, or Washington at non-military sites to check it out.
  18. I haven't heard of any Californian vaxed in California not getting it from that site. I got my shots from 3 private sites (Walgreens, Safeway, Kaiser) and they all reported. R got his from CVS & a drive thru state site & got his there. If Liz tries and doesn't get it, then we'll know LA basin is different
  19. Liz, if you ever want a permanent digital card then you can get one in less than 5 minutes from home as you are a Californian. No need to think. Your card is waiting online at https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov
  20. Yes. OP's profile says she is a Californian. If you want the same thing for Floridians then ask your governor for one. I'm sure he'll oblige.
  21. This is what California 's looks like and PCL has accepted mine (I think @INeedAMaiTailives in California) Also my app still says pending which is irrelevant as the port can't see it anyway. They just need:
  22. I'm on the Golden (now Pacific Adventure) in January. It's still owned by Carnival Corporation
  23. @INeedAMaiTaiwhy don't you just get the California digital card? https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov
