  1. To answer your question, yes, you can leave the tour and stay in the city, to get back to the ship on your own. Just inform the driver and/or guide so they do not wait for you.
  2. I absolutely love the eclectic art on Royal ships. We walk the hallways and stairwells admiring, or laughing, on every cruise. Not every installation will appeal to every viewer. Also, so many inappropriate jokes. I mean, the one figure is 'head'less. 🙂
  3. The prices are ridiculous, but as long as people want to pay them, I wish them joy.
  4. You won't know until you get on the bus, how many people there are. It is a full-sized coach. We just did one and I have one piece of advice - book it with the land tour first. The land tour is great, but frenetic - new hotels, lots of excursions, a couple afternoons of downtime. The cruise is much more relaxing. If we did it again, I'd start in Fairbanks and take the tour first.
  5. Yup. We have BCBS and got either $12 or $15 back per test.
  6. That's my question - our B2B is in Copenhagen and we probably want to get off on turnaround days.
  7. I just pulled it up, on a completely separate search. I had no idea Voyager was coming to Port Canaveral.
  8. Diamond Lounge is great in the morning for free specialty coffee and a few pastries that you might not see in the Windjammer. I am not impressed by their selection of hors d'oeuvres in the evening, but you might enjoy the company when the people gather there. If by chance you have not used your 4 at the end of the day, grab a bottle/can of water from a bar, or a canned soda. Have fun!
  9. Same for Odyssey class - I only tried it because a friend was going and we wanted to join her. Did NOT like if for the first three days as the layout was just so different, but it grew on me. We're looking forward to a transatlantic on her next next spring.
  10. Yeah, that final bit of romance is gone. I remember when your SeaPass card gave the name of your dining room: American Icon, Reflections, Macbeth, Magic Flute, Gigi...... A bygone era, as they say.
  11. We did it once. It was fun and novel. We won't do it again.
  12. They were, and I sailed them. Then Voyager when it was the biggest. All the ones since then are really neat, but Voyager was such a huge departure from Sovereign class! Now, they are just bigger, badder Voyagers to me. 🙂
  13. They no longer have names, it seems. We were on Mariner on the Deck 3 Dining Room and saw the statue of Georg and Maria on the Grand Staircase, which is when we realized that this used be the Sound of Music dining room.
  14. When did they change it? We carried on a 12-pack of Coke in April.
  15. I don't think I'll ever get over Voyager being called 'small'. 🙂
  16. Question: the services that require a membership fee, like Disney+ - you still have to subscribe, correct? I ask because in the early days of satellite people were just grabbing all the live feeds without actually paying. 🙂
  17. Hard copies, just to prevent fumbling around on the phone trying to find the different apps.
  18. I think it frees up crew! Before, they had 4-5 people at each muster station; now they have two for the entire side of the deck. The rest of them get to go about their day with whatever else they need to be doing.
  19. Pros, cons? Recommendations of brands? Thanks!
