It is getting difficult to find a bargain. On Beyond now in SS at $339pppd. My highest price used to be about $400pppd and it was possible to get lower. Now, if you find anything on any ship for less than $500pppd it’s rare. Most hover around $700pppd. Unless it’s a unique itinerary or we find a bargain, I can’t justify the current sticker prices. And it’s not just Celebrity, Royal’s GS’s and above have jumped a lot too. An MSC Seashore YC in November 2023 we were looking at was around $350pppd. mac_tlc

I agree that the Luminae design is better. I find it also a bit quieter than Edge/Apex. Not quiet, quieter. We will also be doing Le Voyage tonight for the first time, I think we are earlier than you. mac_tlc

Another thing I noticed in Luminae last night —— when our waiter was going through the “classics” that are always available but not on the menu, he mentioned the 4oz filet as an option. Never remember the waiter mentioning that as part of the classics. It is still on the kids menu and I know folks order from there but it was interesting that he listed it with the other classic entrees. My wife had it and it was very good. While we are discussing the Daniel Boulod options, she also enjoyed the chilled corn soup. She has previously tried the chocolate pill and was not a fan . mac_tlc

We are leaving on Beyond tomorrow and I did the health questionnaire on the app yesterday. If I try to go into check-in now on the app, it says "check-in has checked-out" , try again later or complete at the port. mac_tlc

We loved the main shows, headliners change so that can be hit or miss depending on your tastes. We love the theatre and the views …. And those screens!

Well we are in Florida waiting the arrival of our traveling companions, @GenerationX, @KKB, @Silkroad, @Mrs_Tiki and any others I might have missed ! Got here on Wednesday after a rather typical sleep-free ride down on the auto train. We will venture down to PE from Orlando on Sunday morning for our 11am check-in time. Since your response was about Royal in contrast to NCL, given the post you quoted, I think it’s allowed to mention Celebrity in contrast to Royal. We don’t gamble a lot of $$, and have severely reduced our Royal sailings, but will be visiting the new no smoking casino on Oasis this summer and will not visit the smoke filled one. mac_tlc

I think Celebrity gets it. Having a fictitious divide between the smoking and non-smoking sides of a large room is crazy and quite ineffective. The casino bar usually reeks of smoke and the smell only fades as you get to the far wall. mac_tlc

I agree. We have only done it when it’s for 8. This was the four bedroom Villa suite on Harmony last year, booked a while ago and was less than $20K. When the new itineraries came out , I priced it on Harmony and Symphony and it was over $35K most weeks. Glad we did it once. Mac_tlc
