  1. Us too. None of our future Retreat bookings are at current prices. I used to target $400pppd as a max, but now the normal asking prices is over $500pppd, with some over $600pppd Gotta hunt for the bargains! mac_tlc
  2. TBH, it’s a matter of luck and flexibility. For that 4/9 Beyond sailing, @NorthStarStateCruiser first noticed suite prices that were 1/2 of normal. Posted on CC, within hours myself , @KKB, @GenerationX, @Silkroad, @Mrs_Tiki and others saw the post and were able to fit it into their schedules. Today, those prices are almost back to normal, although they did last almost a week. Same occurred with the 1/21/24 Ascent sailing. I was perusing cruises and prices and stumbled on it. I posted on CC and a bunch of folks were able to grab it before it went back up. Bottom line, if someone finds a real bargain it most likely will be posted on CC. Keep and eye out and be ready to jump!! mac_tlc
  3. Luigi must have just started his tour as CD. We had Tim a couple weeks ago. mac_tlc
  4. As I recall, someone scheduled a 2PM meet in the Retreat Lounge? 🤔
  5. Your welcome, I love watching the ships come in and sailaway!!!! mac_tlc

  7. Our favorite location is deck 10 forward, right near the elevators. 10123 to be exact 😂. Don’t forget about the infamous “pole on some balconies”. As you look at the deck plans, the Sky Suites are in groups of four cabins. The outer two do not have the pole, the inner two do. For instance, 10123 and 10117 don’t have it, 10121 and 10119 do. mac_tlc
  8. Once you get there it looks great, it’s the 42 cabins my wife has to walk past to get there. mac_tlc
  9. Safe travels. Looking forward to Seeing an almond croissant! mac_lc
  10. I’ll take the PUP points…… mac_tlc
  11. Captain Kate indicated that this was why we did not use the MC in GC last month, although there were only 2 ships there that day. Seemed like everybody wanted to try it using the MC. mac_tlc
  12. Looking at Odyssey for Jan or Feb 2025, but having trouble pulling the trigger —- usually not a problem. Does anyone other then me think that the location of all the GS’s is awful? The JS’s have a much better location on the hump, the GS’s have no forward view and no privacy on the balcony. Also my wife struggles walking long distances and the Suite lounge all the way aft makes me think we will not use it as much as we do on Oasis class. mac_tlc
  13. We were in 9154, magic carpet side but forward a bunch of cabins. No creaking at all. mac_tlc
  14. I just made E+ and will never get to Z, but I think Celebrity really needs to address this. It devalues ( double devalues in your case) what some would consider to be the best perks of Z. mac_tlc
  15. I love this. Cafe AlBacio is our favorite spot, and we could be counted as several of those groups! 40th anniversary is in August and, depending on the day, I may be found “assisting” my wife in her wheelchair! Great place to people watch, with some good window seats as well. mac_tlc
  16. Interesting. I haven’t seen a situation where there are not alternating Captain’s. Maybe a temporary situation due to taking out Ascent. The three months on three months off is typical. On the Royal board there is a thread kept up to date that shows all ships and captains along with their alternates. 10-12 week shifts are common. Dont know when the latest PUP video was shot, but Captain Tasos was on Edge for it. Could have been weeks ago. mac_tlc
  17. That was what she said during her Q&A on Beyond a couple weeks ago. I thought she also said that Captain Dimetrios was her “alternate”, he and his brother Tasos will take out the Ascent. mac_tlc
  18. Thanks for the review! We were on Beyond two weeks before you. I find it interesting to read other peoples opinions. Our specialty restaurant experiences were almost exact opposite of yours 😂. Fine cut was a disappointment, not because of the main course, but the dessert. We had the wonderful sundae on the Edge last year and couldn’t wait to have it again. Big miss for us — no hot fudge, no whipped cream, minimal almonds. The waiter came by and saw that we were not eating it and asked why —- we told him, they made another one , same result. We loved Eden, albeit we do not have any seafood allergies. We were mesmerized at times by the screens in the main theater. Wow. Seems like our reasons for cruising are similar, and we still have Celebrity at the top of our list. Thanks again, mac_tlc
  19. I thought it was Royal Caribbean, she mentioned Odyssey of the Seas. Captain Kate McCue has been married to her husband, Nikola Petrovic, since 2006. Kate and Nikola met while working onboard a Royal Caribbean ship.
  20. Ours showed up at the same time as the regular points showed up, about 7 days or so. mac_tlc
  21. I looked at a few Apex sailings and got the same result as you. The full menus are still viewable for our 4/9 Beyond sailing. mac_tlc
